About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“I would like to say after running twin arb air compressor for the last 20yrs and not overly impressed with speed when my best mate rocks up with the V4 blows up two sets of 35s basically in the same time to do mine without even slightly getting hot. It was right then that I knew out with the arb and in with the V4 air compressor. Possibly the best on the market to date”

“Not a good store to deal with. The item that i bought is not well packed inside the box and there are scratches of because item will move inside the box during transport. They didnt even put bubble wrap. Im disappointed as well because the other item that i bought is cannot be returned or refund and the reason that i have to return this item is they didn’t put that on description that it is included in the first item above. Which is not my fault. And even if you read their policy.Although its not that really an expensive item, but they didn’t even try offer.”

“I can only give you a poor review, you supplied me with the incorrect part after waiting approximately two weeks in remote out back QLD. I returned the incorrect part at my inconvenience and expense and have had no feedback regarding a refund since.”

“Gday….i got the 40L rear footwell tank, tanks great but I really-plumbed it with two tap valves and the breather on top so I could access the entire tank. As it was sent, once one side is empty even though it’s one tank there’s still water on the other side of the middle ridge….just a thought👍🏻”

“Ordered online… said it was in stock… delivery in about 10 days Waited 12 days and no delivery…. Rang and said they were out of stock… no notification… so I canceled order and went elsewhere Took 10 days to get a refund Won’t deal with them again”

“Order and delivery process was quick. The trailer tail light kit was just what I needed to restore my trailer to a roadworthy condition. The LED lights are much brighter and work as expected.”

“I ordered equipment online and expected it to arrive in accordance to their shipping/delivery dates outlined on the website. The date came and went and I heard nothing from Outback Equipment. I rang to follow up only to find out the item I ordered wasn't in stock, which was not highlighted with the item listed on the website or in the shopping cart. They said they wouldn't know when the item was going to arrive in their warehouse. I asked them to send a follow up email, which they did but it wasn't helpful at all. It had been weeks (well past expected delivery date) and still no luck, so I asked for a refund. Pretty average experience if you ask me. Will be ordering from another camping equipment store next time. Clearer communication initiated by the company and even an apology early on would have been beneficial.”
