Disappointed in how long it takes for a claim to get processed. But once approved, money deposited relatively quickly.

It maybe my error in not reading my policy completely but very disappointed in my reimbursement for my first claim. Most likely will cancel policy.

Based on what I read about coverage, I expected that the majority of my pet's health expenses would be covered under the top tier plan but am disappointed that half or less of my costs have been covered. I spent weeks comparing various companies, plans, deductibles, etc. and Pets Best looked like the best option but I may have been wrong.

Very expensive for the benefits we receive.. plan doesn’t pay much unless you meet deductible and have a sick dog

Hi Chris, that is correct. Insurance is meant to help you with the unexpected, broken bones, urinary blockages or cancer. Wellness is not insurance, its a benefit meant to help you offset the cost of what you would be spending whether you have insurance or not, so its not going to pay your full bill for these wellness visits.

The plans are great, but my claims took waaaaay too long to be processed. Claims sent in October were not processed until end of January. It is quite difficult to get in touch with customer service. I called multiple times, left messages, and finally my email was answered weeks later. Though when I set my account up last fall, the CS rep was quite kind.

Paid well for spaying, but complication after, did not cover due to deductible. Since then had no MD visits til due for stool culture, cost $40. paid $9. Doesn't feel that this $164.++ insurance payment every 3 months is worth it for me at this time. Maybe later in my pups life. For now I can save up what the cost of the policy is and apply it toward medical expenses & the increase in insurance payment at that time.

Hi Patricia, you are correct. The deductible must be met on accident and illness claims. Even though this was an issue with the spay surgery, it was still a medical visit and subject to said deductible. We hope your pet has since recovered.

Hi Benjamin, the claims you submitted were for wellness services, vaccines, flea tick and heartworm prevention and dental cleaning. All which were paid out by your wellness package. We do not show anything else done for dental other than this. Please let us know if there are other invoices you need to submit.

Slow to reimburse. EOB’s are good in explaining payments. My Eob was received on 1/13 but on 1/26 I still haven’t been paid.

It feels like reimbursements are too low. I appreciate the product and the responsiveness. I ha0ve not had any problems and Pets Best pays timely without any hassle and as contracted.

Hi Charlene, wellness has set limits per year per item which you can review on our website and prior to enrollment. Insurance is meant to help you when something happens to your pet, either accident or illness related. We are sorry to hear you are looking to cancel the policy. The price continues to increase ridiculously every year not a few bucks more but over ten dollars it’s insulting considering I rarely use the insurance and the times I have I get pennies back. I understand it’s an insurance health policy but there should be incentives for staying with the policy and being with them for years etc. The longer you stay renew with pets best it sort of feels like your being punished. I feel forced to stay because to go elsewhere at this point in my pets life there would be a waiting period pre existing etc to deal with and this is my dilemma. Customer service is ok lady claim took some time for $9.17.... unacceptable in the past they were quicker with turn around time on claims.

Hi, yes, prices will tend to go up as your pet ages. Much like in human health care, an older person is going to be more expensive to insure than a younger one. Similarly, a pet's chances of becoming ill will increase as they age. The insurance premiums are designed to reflect this increased risk of illness. Rates are based on pet's age, breed, and cost of veterinary care in your area. You'll be happy to know that prices do not go up because of your pet's personal claims filing activity. We notify you 40 days prior to renewal to let you know what to expect and renewal is 12 months from your enrollment date. You can check out lower priced policy through your customer portal or by calling in.

It’s alright, don’t really get a good ammount of reimbursements back even though i have the best options for my dogs insurance.
