The cost for my unacceptable plant was fully refunded, but the $19.99 shipping cost could not be refunded. So, in the end, I paid $19.99 for a plant that was too young and small to be shipped and seems well on its way to death (despite my attempts to nurse it to health and maturity). This experience does not make me wish to return to Play it Koi for future purchases.

The search for a part for a Savio filter part led me to playitkoi online. The part was $13.00 the SHIPPING was $28.00! Had I known the shipping was that much I would have found a closer dealer. No where on their site can you find a physical address.

the shipment ended up at the wrong address and there was a one week delay as a result. I understand that mistakes happen but feel there should be some kind of discount as a result of your error. I had to reach out several times to find out what happened and feel I should have been contacted prior to after the fact.

Unfortunately, the pump/filter that I needed, and therefore ordered, has still not shipped, despite there being no indication that it was not in stock. An estimated ship date still hasn't been provided.

Well I ordered proform, because several koi farm owners told me to purchase that after seeing the issue my koi had and specifically ordered from your company, because you offered two day priority shipping. I ordered last Monday morning the 8th and it was delivered on Thursday and unfortunately my koi passed away on Wednesday, the day before the medicine showed up. I can’t say if my fish would have survived having the medicine a day earlier, but regardless it was still very upsetting that I ordered on Monday and didn’t receive until Thursday and I paid extra for the two day priority shipping.

The experience on the website was fair. My order qualified for free shipping but when the $10 discount promotion was applied, it knocked me off of free shipping. This is called “deceptive marketing practice” tho’ may alternatively be attributable to programmer incompetence. The quality of the plant materials sent by FedEx was poor. Roots broken from water lettuce plants. Thin yellowing irises... It seems surprising that the retailer would choose something other than their most robust plant materials particularly in light of the retail pricing. Given this experience, I would not purchase materials from Play it Koi again.

Terrible customer service. Didnt return calls, aswered phone 1 out of 10 times I called. Shipping information was not sent until day before packsge was to arrive. Getting this info was critical because I was scheduled to be out of town.

I recently ordered Nijikawa Color Genesis Premium Koi Food × 1 44lb Sinking 5mm. It arrived in 5 days but the production date says the food is 1 year old. Everything I have read about this food is that it is the freshest you can get, and this was not so I was very disappointed to see that it was a year old. Not much I can do about it now except find another vendor.

Nicholas, I'm very sorry to hear of your disappointment about the production date on the Nijikawa that you received. Our most recent shipment that arrived with the Color Genesis on it was delivered to us on 3/3, and at the time of delivery, the batch was the freshest that Nijikawa had available (Production date of 5/29/21). We utilize FIFO inventory procedures to ensure we maintain the freshest food possible, but with supply chain challenges across the globe, this was the freshest food that was available, and it was either we take this delivery or not have any Color Genesis to offer. If you would like to contact me prior to your next purchase to ensure the food's production date meets your expectations, I would be happy to verify the date before shipping your food out in the future.
