My son did the six week ACT prep course with Ben Smith. He got a 32 composite and a 34 on the math. It was a lot of work but well worth it. His score improved 7 points! Thank you Ben Smith!

My son did the class room prep in orange county in the summer of 2018. When he took the SAT, his score went up 280 points. I was sad to see that they don't offer same thing this summer. I have another child to send.

My daughter completed the 6 week course, and we paid 699.00. It was with a guarantee that she score in the 99th percentile. No tutor showed up on the 1st day of class, so they had to reschedule to a different date. This date caused her to miss work, thus out more money. She did improve, but did not score in the 99th percentile. When I called to get a refund, they advised that I was outside my 30 day window to do so, so no refund would be given. They can inconvenience you and cause you to lose money to re-schedule when their moderator does not show up, but they are exact on the 30 day window, and that is even with documents t hat have to be snail mailed. GO WITH OTHER COMPANIES, same results but better reviews.

Clay was my instructor I was able to learn many useful strategies that improved my overall score by over a hundred points throughout the practice tests in the course. I feel I will be prepared when I go to take the SAT. The Video Chat took some getting used to but it ended up being a great way to interact with a large class.

As my first involvement with SAT prep, this course, combined with Mr. Cooper's wit, was a fantastic way to get a detailed understanding of the ins and outs of the SAT. Prior, I had absolutely no mental plan in taking the test when it came to it; what I was following was a blind path and I would merely hope to get easy questions. Reading passages came down to whether or not I enjoyed or let alone understood the topic. How to even begin an essay was a mystery; overall, it was a pretty bad mess. Something changed though, as I conclude with my final lesson. Homework and practice tests aside, I was actually able to walk away from these past few weeks with something that I haven't had before, which is the realization that the SAT isn't as bad as it seems. This course eviscerated the SAT - absolutely ripped it up. The tips, the tricks, the things to avoid; all of these were covered. It was almost as though I was memorizing a cheat sheet, which isn't bad at all for a test that's meant mostly to prove your competence to colleges. Where there's the SAT, there's a competition, and PrepExpert gave me the winning advantage.

Clay Cooper was my instructor. Cooper is an amazing instructor who deeply cares about the growth and progression of his student's learning. He deviated from the set schedule if needed to help explain concepts to the students. He is very personal and a great teacher.

Its techniques were clear to understand. since there's no place to put suggestions... ill do it right here i feel like the amount of work given in prep expert is too much, especially when taking into account the amount of work the average high school student has to do. I have no issue with homework tests, but practice tests in my opinion should be submitted saturday by 11 pm, or atleast saturday before class. also, i feel like we could spend less time on homework review since the first 1-1.5 hrs was usually spent on that.

This course was very helpful, my score improved by 100 points and Clay as a tutor was so thorough. He taught us many helpful skills and made sure that we practiced. The only criticism I have is that I did feel a little rushed in the math section, but the skills I learned in the English section was extremely helpful.

It made me happy because it not only showed me how to take the SAT it showed me why the SAT is important. My teacher ( clay cooper) was super cool and easy going, but not too easy going. When the whole class didn't know what to do he made sure all of us knew. Its weird I kinda wanna take the SAT now.

Will York was an amazing instructor who explained the test taking strategies clearly and concisely. He made time for every question, and explained every problem thoroughly. He made excellent use of the poll system to keep our attention and to keep the class focused throughout the class period. 10/10 would recommend.

Extraordinarily good program, provides everything a hungry SAT prepper could ask for. My instructor was very friendly and never hesitated to go over a question in as much depth as was necessary, and took the time to go over all of the questions and concerns that the class had. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to give their scores big boost.

Overall, I would definitely recommend PrepExpert! I used it and got my target SAT score, which made me really happy :) My instructor was Nishi Patel and she was AMAZING! She definitely made the class fun and her strategies were super helpful and effective. A few lessons I learned over the course: 1) Although the teachers and the material is designed to help you succeed and raise your score significantly, you will have to put in time outside of class and make sure you don't fall behind on the homework or the tests. One tip I really liked from the course was the SAT Insight Notebook, which was a way to learn from your mistakes. 2) Sometimes, you won't get what is promised. In the course that I selected, it said I would recieve a KindleFire with my order and that my essays would be graded each week. However, I didn't get a Kindle and some of my essays were not graded :/ Although this wasn't really an issue for me, it might be useful information for other people considering the course. 3) The strategies and test-taking tips do really help, but you have to be focused in class and try to implement them at home. That being said, if you pay attention in the course, your score should go up :)) 4) The tips are especially helpful for people struggling with the reading and writing section! If you struggle more with math (like me), it's more helpful to practice at home and ask for help during class with questions you don't understand. Ultimately, although the 6-week (in person) class is a bit pricey, I think it's worth the cost as long as you have the time for the homework/tests. Good luck to everyone taking the SAT/ACT!
