“The Prep Expert SAT Course was beneficial. The techniques were good and smart. The repetition of techniques was just the right amount not to get too tired. Mr. Kolmagorov was very kind, helpful, and good at explaining. It was a lot of work, but my score improved a lot.”

“My instructor was Ilia Kolmagorov and it was a very good experience that raised my score from 1050 to a 1180 which is huge for my situation. It was definitely a lot of work and will put you though your paces but if you stay consistent you will see results”

“Kevin Parrish is an amazing teacher and helped me prepare a TON for the SAT. I greatly appreciate his time and commitment to all of the students, and trying to help everyone improve as much as possible. He is very responsive via email, during office hours, etc. and it helps me, and others improve significantly. Starting out, I took had taken 1 SAT test before this class and missed numerous reading/writing questions, and even though I only missed 1 on math, I got a 1340. With Kevin's expert teaching and questions specifically focused to help people improve on their weaknesses, I was already able to improve my overall score by almost 200 points throughout this course and plan to really focus on the little things I can still improve. Kevin is overall an amazing instructor and made the whole experience very energetic and exciting.”

“To start off, as soon as I joined Mr. Parrish's class I felt like I was in the right class surrounded with the best instructor and peers. From the first class, the class was so chatty and interactive which made it an even easier environment to efficiently learn in. I would typically think of tutoring to be boring, but as soon as I entered the class I just knew that I would be in a great learning space. Specifically, Mr. Parrish wasn't just a tutor to me, he felt more like a friend I was learning from. This is because it was easy to connect with Mr. Parrish and he made sure we were locked in when we needed to be, all in the kindest ways possible. I was unsure of joining PrepExpert at first, but I am extremely glad that me and a couple of my friends made the decision to join because it led me to learn tons of new things that will be greatly helpful on my SAT journey. The peers I had were very helpful too, we all clicked from the first class and were a great group of classmates as we now shared our personal information and hope to keep the connections forever. Mr. Parrish went as far as telling us that he would answer our emails even after the class ends, which made me very happy because I am taking the October SAT and having insight closer to my exam from a professional would be amazing. I saw many improvements in my 10th grade PSAT score to my PrepExpert practice test, this made me feel motivated to learn and showed me the effectiveness of taking a SAT course with PrepExpert. I personally felt the course was very educational, fun, and well-taught because of how it served as great learning. One key thing to wanting to learn, is having a great tutor. I was skeptical about joining PrepExpert before I joined because it was online and I felt that I wouldn't feel like wanting to learn, but when I actually took a few classes I learned that this wasn't the case and that learning online is as effective as in-person, if you have a great learning environment.”

“Prep Expert was a great way to study for the SAT. The entire course was very well planned and structured. My instructor Kevin worked very hard and even searched the entire College Board so he could put forth the most optimal practice. He put together a hard math quiz every week to help us master the math section. Along with this he gave us his email which I believe was very kind, and he always gave very thorough and detailed answers to my question via email, even outside of the course hrs. Aside from the course, Prep expert was very helpful in the process of signing up with an extremely helpful support team. I believe Prep Expert is the way to go in SAT studying and would recommend them to anyone looking for a structured SAT course with fantastic instructors.”

I like that he made the class very fun and that he would give us ten minute breaks every hour. He would make fun challenge problems for us to solve and he goes over any concepts really well.”

“My teacher is Kevin Parrish, and he was one of the best teachers I have had. Even as an online class with over 50 people taking the course, he made the course engaging and fun with his enthusiastic attitude every week. My score improve 300 points over the 8 week capstone course. Mr. Parrish even met with me outside of the class 1 on 1 just to make sure I was feeling confident in the Reading and Writing section which I felt was my weakest section. I really appreciate Mr.Parrish for everything that he taught me!”

“Mr. Kolmogorov was a very kind and fun instructor who kept the class interesting and helped answer all my questions. Since then, I’ve jumped from a 1250 to 1510 on my last practice test! He works through all the problems and shows us in careful steps so we all understand. He cares about the wellbeing of all of us and makes sure to add in a joke whenever he can! I had a great experience in this class, and I can’t thank him and PrepExpert enough for guiding me through this challenge.”

The tips and tricks were useful, but I wish we had more time to answer some practice questions by ourselves during class, instead of mindlessly going over practice questions from the homework. More polls throughout the class would be more helpful in my opinion, because it allows students to critically think about more questions right after learning about the tips and tricks. Overall, I have seen some progress in my test scores, and I thank the Prep Expert for my improvement.”

“My instructors name is Ilia Kolmagorov. Prep expert is definitely a helpful course. You get plenty of practice problems, which will highly benefit your score on the SAT. I learned the more practice problems you do, the less confusing the SAT will be because you will have seen the types of problems before. In that case, the practice gets a five out of five. But I found the actual classes to not be as helpful as they should’ve been. Not that they were poor, but I found them to be slightly unnecessary. We did indeed learn some helpful strategies in the classes, but while going over homework problems, (witch is the majority of the class) it can really get messy and confusing. Either the instructor could go too fast, the writing can get all over the place, or the actual problem is difficult for one to understand. It’s difficult to do this online as everyone has different learning habits. Therefore, it’s difficult to engage just via a chat box. Online classes are never going to be perfect so I do not fully hold that against Prep Expert. The classes are three hours long with two ten minute breaks in between, and I found that to be very challenging, as it’s just way too long. I would’ve preferred more classes per week with shorter runtimes. I do understand the challenge of instructors availability though. I really do think you’re paying for the amount of practice problems that you really can’t get anywhere else. However, at the end of the day, I would recommend Prep Expert to anybody looking to improve their SAT score.”

“I was hesitant at first about taking these classes especially with it being a summer course, but I must say I am extremely grateful for this course. There was a plethora of exercises and resources that improved my score 120 points! The way it is set up with the homework helped me to stay accountable and truly prepare for the test. My instructor, Ilia Kolmagorov, was one of the most influential teachers I’ve had. Even over zoom he was able to make it interactive and enjoyable! I learned many lessons about not only math and grammar, but other skills I can incorporate into the school year. He left us with great parting words that were very motivating! I highly recommend this course. If you really give everything they say a chance, you’ll realize how truly beneficial it is. Thank you!”

“My instructor was Ilia Kolmagorov. My score significantly improved over 300 points, from the prep expert, and blue book practice tests. Ilia was an outstanding, and funny instructor. He always kept me engaged with the lessons and he gave great advice, for the SAT, and steps about the college application process. Additionally, my favorite part about each class were the strategies that I learned for math, reading, and writing. These strategies helped me to improve my score, and gave me further insight into the SAT, in terms of approaching different topics. Over all, Prep Expert was a fantastic resource to improving my SAT scores, and I have the confidence that the preparation and practice from Prep Expert will help me achieve my goal of achieving the best SAT score for myself, and leading me to go on and achieve my life goals.”
