My first storage unit had no light and was infested with mice. I had insurance but never got reimbursed for my damaged property. The site wouldn’t let me add my photos

Seven years of rental 10x30 car and a 6x9 unit they broke my locks twice once by district manager and property manager a team they are in seizing units. My locks were broken into on a 4th of July which the bill was paid that evening and the next morning being the 4th the district manager got to assess my unit and all its contents Martin acoustic mahogany guitar, Gibson guitar really expensive unit loads of vintage leathers jackets, carbon road bikes jewelry, thule traveling case for giant tcr sl road bike. Designer chairs each about $4000 dollars. Snow boards, skate boards, expensive glass raw iron french vintage wrought Bible glass tables two of them at $5k a piece. I should stop. Public storage broke my locks again while consumer protection investigator Stephen angulo was investigating a severe price hime from $185 to $320 a month out of no where? The may have not notice the investigation was going on but consumer said its a code violation and automatic $ in small claims. I delayed it as they got to view my items again. Now seven years of me paying and rarely there they waited foe me to be late on a payment which I am often and I pay late fees and occasional they do us a favor by removing a fee. They cased my unit and targeted me waiting for me to be late now I know. Maybe its retaliation as well getting consumer protection involved. So i had to replace my locks twice this last time. 10/29/24 I received a thank you value customer your new rate change 12/01/24, then on 10/30/24 they had my auction that I was not aware of via emails nor property managers two phone calls day before and day of auction? My property manager called me the day of the 10/29/24 11:05 a.m. only leaving a message hey give us a call its urgent regarding my account, nothing regarding auction date time nothing? The same message they always use but not saying anything of an auction on 10/30/24? On 10/30/24 11:06 a.m. the property manager serena called with same message she left day before and says give up a call regarding your account its urgent. I had called the the week prior twice but they do bo return the calls until a week later on purpose to notate that they have been trying reach me as if I was not responding or unreachable? This is how they bill up a we tried in order to manipulate and cover I know now. They shoot you with nothing in emails and phone calls to show attempts of doing the right thing but really its to cover their actions or intentions. Someone controls buttons possibly district managers or both even property managers. My unit was auctioned or said it was value at close to $50-$75,000 dollars based on report✨law enforcement saw photos and my unit sold for $180 dollars? Tell me this is not an inside job and they even added 11/01 onto my balance after stealing my valuable on 10/30/24 The property manager acted like it went over her head but fail to mention in two of her calls to me on voicemails of my auction day before and the day of 10/30/24? My 32 years was in there this was intent and personal. My payment was $510 and they auctioned me in less than 60 days without making me aware on purpose I’m thinking. Law enforcement thinks property manager is involved. I just want my things back and the district manager knows who has it possibly. Maybe himself and he had someone purchase my unit hide it cause a neighbor checked in all was cleaned out new lock. This is beyond bad it crazy stupid and a bad paper trail that does not add up. This review would not allow up load of items I wanted to show the carbon giant road bike and designer chairs, ducati, suzuki, vintage horsehide german double breasted military leathers, trench coats. Collectable boots shoes sneakers. Luxury bags etc. This is my short version of it. Cannot be replaced none of it, a life of 32 years in los angeles inside that unit without a warning the day before or day of totally unaware of auction. Stay tune its on and watch out this was ruthless the aggressive. The company district managers & property managers are observing ur contents and placing certain individuals on their radar. I use to buy the workers lunch and give pieces away and corporate an individual name james threaten me to not give anything to employees and stay away from office. I stop going in there he had a (201)258-396- phone number. It was crazy maybe the property manager instigated it. Had no interest in her at all just being polite. Horrible experience should have left this place now over 70k stolen because it was intent for sure and sold my unit for $180? Go figure inside job by all’s point of view including law enforcement. Please read and all is true don’t slip and do not be taken by a false representation of kindness in order to get your business. Stay tuned.

I found Public Storage a difficult company to deal with. They were running a special for a 5x10 unit, $1 first month free, $25 per month thereafter. This offer was only available on line so I went on line and attempted to reserve the unit I wanted. All went very well until I attempted to pay for the first month rental. Then none of the three payment methods I tried to use were accepted. I was shunted back and forth on the phone between sales and customer service for about an hour. All the while I was receiving emails telling me that my reservation was completed. Toward the end of my 1 hour ordeal I received an email saying “Your reservation is all set up”. I went on the website, entered the reservation number and got a message that “reservation canceled”. I decided to start the process over, but when I went to reserve the unit I wanted all the special price incentives had vanished. I suspect I was making the reservation right at the time they were canceling the incentives and jacking the price. I called again to see if they’d honor the original commitment but once they started to shunt me around between sales and customer service I decided to cut my losses and go somewhere else. So BEWARE of their bait and switch tactics.

They keep raising my rights and I never saw it coming and did not put it in the contract… if your expecting a yearly rate you cant trust them and I will never use them again.

I recently made my payment through the call center $108 unit E142 George Rossi, Rochester NY, East Avenue. I did this because the Public Storage app does not allow me to add a payment method. A few days later I received electronic notifications that I had a late payment of $24. I immediately called the property manager and I was told by her that this was because the $108 the call center told me that I owed and I paid via my credit card was $2 short of the actual $110 I should owe (???) and that I had to pay the extra $2 and the $22 late fee. I told her that this was ludicrous and she told me that 'she would speak to her BM'. She has since not gotten back to me. I have two other different grievances (1) the elevating out of order for over a month and (2) carts that were available now never seen and unavailable. I'll be critiquing a Public Storage negatively on Google, contacting the Better Business Bureau about a complaint, probably the NYS attorney generals office and other agencies as to what I'm thinking are poor if not illegal business practices. This is a review of Public Storage as a company. Not the specific location. They promised me a monthly rate of $11 a month. The chipper and friendly man that signed me up was a pleasure to speak to. Well I never once paid anything less than $20. I set up autopay and then they pulled $43 from my account every month for the first few months, then bumped it up to $63. I never agreed to pay this. I would have never accepted a 11x5 storage for this price. Public storage stole money from me that I never agreed to. Then when I called to talk to someone about this issue, I was told that they do not do refunds. Zero effort to make this right and reimburse me. This is a shady business. There is no integrity with public storage. I said okay cancel my account because this is a terrible experience, then I receive a text that I’ll be receiving $30 off my next months rent. What next month?? I just canceled! And for the record, $30 reduction in what I’ve been paying would STILL not honor the amount I agreed to in March. Bad business. I would give 0 stars if that was an option.

I started at 138.00 per month and they in a sneaky fashion raised it to 348.00. the last raise went from 254.00 to 348.00. they know how inconvenient it is to move so they feel comfortable screwing people with these raises. I recently downsized from a 10x25 to a 10x20 to go back down to 128.00. instead of adjusting my price humanely they make you move a few hundred feet so they can continue to screw you. Beware they're all about themselves. I was promised and $84 credit when I moved to the smaller one because I had already paid the $300 plus. But the computer wouldn't allow them to do that so I was screwed out of that also. We aren't allowed to probe rates I was told. Beware they're just out to screw you out of every dime that they can!

I have been a Public Storage customer for over 20 years, a few different facilities. Lately, since their attempt to automate everything, the customer service has just fallen off the cliff. The bots are maddening and there are no options for anything outside basic functions, such as account issues, such as account or storage issues. This company has by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered, and I strongly discourage doing business here.

No customer loyalty whatsoever they'll get you in with a cheap rate and they'll keep jacking it up all of the time they couldn't care less about you the person. All they care about is money. Do your best to find another storage place, I can't stand them

It’s so crazy how you get terminated because you had death in the family after you’ve been there for so long giving it to All and then the district manager turns around and lies. But it’s all good. Everything in life happens for a reason.

Review of Public Storage, 121 N. Houghton Rd., Tucson, AZ We do not recommend this cite as they keep their orange flat bed dollies locked in the office due to renters "stealing" them from the cite. When asked how to obtain the use of one when the office is locked during regular business hours during a week day, the office representative offered no option for contacting them to assist tenant with obtaining one for use in loading/unloading, and then laughed because I wasn't the first person to ask how to remedy this situation. She stated she's there to collect a paycheck and has no control over what happens. Very Disappointed.

Please DON'T ever use this company! If you are desperate enough please take out the insurance on your property. I called and asked them how is it that my property is covered in dirt and dust like someone has pressure washed the units! Her answer was I don't know, what the hell do you mean you don't know. My belongings were locked and now they are covered in dirt, no apology just well you don't have the insurance. I know this dumb ass woman! She is as dumb as a box of rocks.

BEWARE!! Public Storage has increased my rent multiple times since they took over the facility where I have a storage unit. Currently, my rate is about triple of the rate they are offering online for a unit like mine.

I had one often two storage units at the Public Storage on RT 130 in Burlington NJ. I went to close out both units early in October and after paying $1,700 for a move that could not be completed due to the size and weight of my furniture, the elevator at the facility with no notice was broken and had been for 5 months according to the front desk staff. I hired movers for another $1,200 to move my furniture and after complaining to everyone right up to corporate, they refunded me $25. Bad business, please be careful everyone.

Absolutely disgusting! I live in Tampa,Florida and was hit with Helene and Milton Hurricanes which left me without, power, internet and unable to go to work. Never had a late fee before. This one time due to the devastation of these storms I was late making the payment by two weeks, they denied waiving the late fee. People's lives are completely turned upside down and are struggling to pick.up.the pieces and Public Storage could care less! Money hungry corporate bs!!

Until this point I was satisfied. I made my October payment and saw another $21.00 was added to my bill, and that's on top of last years raise of $9.00. Corporate greed, plain and simple.

Very poor experience. I had an issue not only did it take several calls and messages, but ultimately I found the system disorganized and once they charge even if the charge is disputed there is not much you can do other than pay or have your credit affected. Also expect your storage prices to go up every few months by about $50 for no reason. Do not rely on what they tell you over the phone they will not stand by it, I was told it did not matter which day I moved out and there was no notice requirement then I moved out on Sunday the first rather than Saturday the 31st and was charged nearly $500. I asked to have the matter reviewed and was left a message saying it was reviewed and denied with no call back number. There are other places around the area with real people just as good similar pricing. Next time I will go anywhere but public storage! My location was Mildred street in Tacoma WA.

There roof leaked on my property and now I’m getting the run around for compensation, I would suggest not storing your items in any public storage .
