Review of Public Storage, 121 N. Houghton Rd., Tucson, AZ We do not recommend this cite as they keep their orange flat bed dollies locked in the office due to renters "stealing" them from the cite. When asked how to obtain the use of one when the office is locked during regular business hours during a week day, the office representative offered no option for contacting them to assist tenant with obtaining one for use in loading/unloading, and then laughed because I wasn't the first person to ask how to remedy this situation. She stated she's there to collect a paycheck and has no control over what happens. Very Disappointed.

Please DON'T ever use this company! If you are desperate enough please take out the insurance on your property. I called and asked them how is it that my property is covered in dirt and dust like someone has pressure washed the units! Her answer was I don't know, what the hell do you mean you don't know. My belongings were locked and now they are covered in dirt, no apology just well you don't have the insurance. I know this dumb ass woman! She is as dumb as a box of rocks.

BEWARE!! Public Storage has increased my rent multiple times since they took over the facility where I have a storage unit. Currently, my rate is about triple of the rate they are offering online for a unit like mine.

I had one often two storage units at the Public Storage on RT 130 in Burlington NJ. I went to close out both units early in October and after paying $1,700 for a move that could not be completed due to the size and weight of my furniture, the elevator at the facility with no notice was broken and had been for 5 months according to the front desk staff. I hired movers for another $1,200 to move my furniture and after complaining to everyone right up to corporate, they refunded me $25. Bad business, please be careful everyone.

Absolutely disgusting! I live in Tampa,Florida and was hit with Helene and Milton Hurricanes which left me without, power, internet and unable to go to work. Never had a late fee before. This one time due to the devastation of these storms I was late making the payment by two weeks, they denied waiving the late fee. People's lives are completely turned upside down and are struggling to pick.up.the pieces and Public Storage could care less! Money hungry corporate bs!!

Until this point I was satisfied. I made my October payment and saw another $21.00 was added to my bill, and that's on top of last years raise of $9.00. Corporate greed, plain and simple.

Very poor experience. I had an issue not only did it take several calls and messages, but ultimately I found the system disorganized and once they charge even if the charge is disputed there is not much you can do other than pay or have your credit affected. Also expect your storage prices to go up every few months by about $50 for no reason. Do not rely on what they tell you over the phone they will not stand by it, I was told it did not matter which day I moved out and there was no notice requirement then I moved out on Sunday the first rather than Saturday the 31st and was charged nearly $500. I asked to have the matter reviewed and was left a message saying it was reviewed and denied with no call back number. There are other places around the area with real people just as good similar pricing. Next time I will go anywhere but public storage! My location was Mildred street in Tacoma WA.

There roof leaked on my property and now I’m getting the run around for compensation, I would suggest not storing your items in any public storage .

I am very unhappy with Public Storage. I reserved a unit and when I went to finish the process it wasn't available anymore. I called the first time and no answer and had left a message and never got a call back. I called the second time and I talk to a person, he reply some units would be come available over the weekend and he would call me so I can finish my process to get the unit I need. It's been 6 days now and no one has called me back. It is a very inconvenient and frustrating situation for just to get a rental storage. I hope this helps for anyone who needs a rental storage unit because it's going to be very unpleasant to get a hold of someone.

I canceled the request for the storage unit over a week before I was to mov!. Then I looked at my banking account and saw that they charged me $51.50 and sent me and email saying, "thanks for settling up and closing your account". Wow...be careful! Plus, because the SEC allows 75% of large businesses to outsource their work, they employ people overseas. So now it is SO hard to get good customer service. You have to deal with language barriers, but most important persons who are not that knowledged, so don't trust that your request has been made. Keep checking, because this morning was my 3rd time calling to make sure that it was canceled. I never used a storage company. Please note that the Public Storage site offers NO WAY to delete your account.

Don't rent from the public storage. I rented a 10*10 on 6770 Silver Star Rd, Orlando, FL 32818. When I signed the contract they asked me if I wanted to do automatic payment I said no. For the first couple month I went to the office to make my payment and one day I walked to the office to make a payment the lady said I already paid. I asked her, how that happen because I come here every month to make my payment. what happened the lady at the desk signed me for automatic payment with out my consent. I cancel the contract and empty the unit on August 31, when to the office to report that my unit is vacant but no body there. September first was a Sunday, Monday was an holiday, and on Tuesday the 3rd a when back to report that the space was vacant, they already went to my account and withdraw the money.

DO NOT RENT A STORAGE UNIT HERE!!! IT IS A SCAM! 1st—I rented a lower unit online, and my contract states that it is a lower unit, so I am paying more for the convenience. Once I grabbed the keys, I was switched to an upper unit, and I am still waiting for the price adjustment. Less than 4 months later, my $122/per month was upped to $150.00, to which I complained. They reduced it back to $122/per month, and after my September payment, my rent was elevated to $172/mo. I haven't even been there a year...I have had my unit since the end of January! It has been 8 months, and I have had 2 rent increases! I am disgusted that this scam harms so many people who may be unable to afford their units. I am going to make this a legal issue. GO ELSEWHERE; DO NOT RENT A SPACE HERE, AND READ YOUR CONTRACTS BECAUSE THE INCREASES ARE ARBITRARY MONEY GRABS.

After moving out, setting a checkout date in July, and getting clearance from a worker that "I am all set to go", I still got charged for the following month (August) When I arrived at the location where I had my space, I tried talking with the worker, and they pretty much told me though luck and I should have been better informed. After notifying them that their worker said I am all set, they smiled and refused to help me any further. I did not occupy the space at all for the month of August and still got charged because I left my Auto-Pay on. When I tried talking with customer service agents online, some would disconnect right away without even hearing my issue, or some would just ignore what I am saying and kept saying their policy is firm. I have been a client of their for years and it felt like they are just trying to suck more money out of me. I then tried calling their customer support phone number and kept getting transferred between people, or hung up on. It seemed like they just wanted to transfer me around without actually helping. Trying to move out of the space has been a nightmare, and it seems like the company just wants to suck money out of their clients. 100% LOST MY BUSINESS!!!!

When I moved into my unit in February, I was quoted a rental price of $90 to $100 per month. This was comfortably within my budget and seemed manageable. However, within a month, I was informed that I needed to purchase insurance, bumping my monthly payment up to $130. Now, here’s where the plot thickens. In June, I received notice that my rent would increase from $130 to $172 per month, effective immediately. This means that within just six months of my tenancy, my rent has ballooned significantly. I’ve been a loyal customer who has never missed a payment, but this month, due to an unforeseen financial emergency, I informed the office that I would make my payment on August 14th. Despite this, I’ve been relentlessly hounded with phone calls and emails as if I’ve suddenly mastered the art of evasion. And the grand finale? I went to my storage unit to grab a bag, only to find myself locked out until Wednesday August 14th. To add insult to injury, I now have to pay $200 just to regain access to my own belongings. I’m sharing this not just to vent but as a public service announcement. Tell a friend to tell a friend: save your coins and think twice before renting storage space. You might just discover that by the time you’re ready to move out, you’ve spent enough to rent a small apartment!

Price-gouging is alive and well. PS bought the store facility where I rent, 1 year ago; The rent had just gone up from $75/mo, to $83/mo. 1 year later, they’ve raised it to $113/mo. A 50% increase in about a year. Public Storage is clearly an organized crime syndicate.
