I received a message that my unit rate was being increased from $18 a month to $37 a month. I called the customer service number, and someone called me back. I told her that I needed to understand how and why this was happening. She talked about market value and how the contract renews from month to month, at which time the rate may increase. I asked “Does that mean you can change my rate in one month and again in three months and again in five months?“ She answered yes. I thanked her for calling me back and explaining. And then she hung up on me. I don’t understand why she felt the need to end the call so disrespectfully. Maybe she didn’t like having to disclose the con. Still annoyed that she felt some kind of way even though she gets a paycheck. Clearly I’m gonna have to stop giving them a portion of mine. Public Storage, this sucks! Do better.

So grateful for your online easy to use setup. Your front desk helped us to correct our own error (choosing too small of a unit). Went back online and started over - quick and easy. Your prices are very, very good. Helpful staff. Bob & Lori

Rodents destroyed property and Public Storage said I had to clean out the unit. I had expose myself to deadly diseases because Public Storage did not take care of their rodent infestation. I do not know why they expected me to clean out the unit after my property was destroyed. We were threatened with monthly fees and cleaning fees if we left the items that were ruined by the rodents living at the storage unit. Not only did I lose property, but I also was penalized for being a victim of their infestation. I am disgusted by Public Storage even more than I was disgusted by the rat feces and urine.

I wish I could give a -10. Long story short...if you have a problem, there is no real help. Things come up in any business; however, it’s all about how well the company handles things. An issue came up that caused me a series of unfortunate events. An issue that came about due to their negligence. I contacted the Bensalem, PA office. The on site members are nasty and unprofessional. I contacted the regional manager, he was just as unprofessional and uncaring. He took no responsibility and offered no apology or way to remedy the situation. I called customer service they said they could not help. I then called corporate twice but they did not call back. After only two months of rental, the company went up on rent by 15.00. Disgusting

I rented a parking space for my 2012 Toyota Tacoma at the Public Storage facility at 3673 South Redwood Road, West Valley City, Utah, on Aug. 18, 2020. One month later—one month—my wife and daughter went to this Public Storage facility to retrieve the truck and when they arrived discovered that the truck had been broken into, vandalized and had the catalytic converter and oxygen sensor cut out. My wife and daughter were deeply traumatized when they discovered the damage to our vehicle and the drug paraphernalia on the ground beside the truck. They immediately called the police, filed the appropriate report, called AAA and had the truck towed to Mark Miller Toyota for the extensive repair required to make the truck drivable again. The repair bill was $1,471, which was covered by my State Farm comprehensive insurance with the exception of my $100 deductible. I chose this facility because Public Storage is a national company with a good reputation. The information about this particular facility noted “property manager lives on site for added peace of mine.” This “well-lit facility is state-of-the-art and features a sturdy electronic gate with keypad access.” My vehicle didn’t survive 30 days at this state of the art, well-lit facility with a property manager who lived on site. I can’t undo the trauma and grief my wife and daughter experienced after discovering the abominable oversight and security at this poorly run facility. But I can request a refund of the $50.67 I was charged to have my truck vandalized by drug addicts, and the $100 I had to pay toward its repair. I have been told there is no way Public Storage will refund one cent to me. Abominable customer service.

Quite frankly, one of the worst storage companies I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with! Horrible! I should have looked at the reviews on Public Storage before I moved my things in there. IF your reading this and your foolish enough to rent from this company, you can expect a rent increase of 30% - 40% within the first year. EXPECT IT! I contacted Public Storage about this completely excessive rent increase, and all they said was "well, we can always move you into a smaller unit.". They're clever. They'll entice you to move into their units, with a very reasonable rent rate, and once you're moved in, they'll sock it to you. 6 months a massive rent icnrease, and then another increase 6 months later. Folks, stay away from Public Storage like the plague! HORRIBLE company. Owned by a bunch of shyster attorneys, from what I understand.

used to be good, very poor Customer service. Autopay stopped and I could not find out why. I was on the phone for 45 Min until I gave up and had them call me back. They called back 2 hours later and it rings less than once so you have a missed call on your phone because there is no way in Hell you can answer that fast. Now your stuck with the same problem again and the hole Story starts from the top again. If I wouldn't hate moving again I would out of there.

Deceptive and unscrupulous Business Practices. Before signing the agreement I asked multiple times if I was locked in at the rate I signed up for. Which the person confirmed multiple times. Little did I know, hidden in the agreement was a clause that said they can raise it for any reason after 6 months. And keep doing so at their own discretion. They can get away with it since it's a pain to move again so they take advantage of this fact. Next is that if you move out in the beginning of the month they charge you for the whole month. No prorated refund. This company is just GREED and SELF PURPOSE. NEVER trust what they tell you. Will never use them again and will make sure NEVER to recommend them to anyone.

I've been charged twice in the same day for the 1 month I had my storage unit. Been calling every 48 hours to be sent to voice-mail and nobody has ever once returned one of my calls. The guy at the Gratoit location originally told me he would refund my account but there was nothing written in my account about a refund. I closed my account after 3 weeks and he said AGAIN he would refund it, but once the "account" is closed he can't refund my stolen money. He went ahead and closed it anyway. I have to dispute this with my bank but this place is ran horribly. The office is a joke, call me back. Act like an adult and have a conversation about this thief you have working at the Gratoit location. I will never trust Public Storage again in my life.

I had to relocate to another storage. PS has no trolly no cart. My latch was cut, padlock slipped off, pressure washer, air compressor, flood light. Went to the office to find out what went wrong, all I really got was call the insurance company. 2 weeks after I went back the unit was tidied not as ransacked as before, what they did not know was I took pictures. I decided to move to another storage and they were not pleased with me leaving, I even showed another tenant in the same unit what they did and asked him to keep checking his unit

Went in with the $1 deal at Southside Blvd. In Jacksonville, FL., then after after 4 months they hiked my rate $20.00 a month. I asked for a deferrment option because I was supposed to be teaching by now. However, due to the Coronavirus nightmare and the fact I haven't received unemployment, I am broke. Not only was my extension request denied I was told a late charge would be applied after the sixth. Before the Corona virus I always paid on time and have rented for almost a year. No Coronavirus emphathy!

Beware. They start you out with an introductory rate and then hike it up! I asked them how much the rate would increase when promo period is over, and they said they can’t really tell me. I went from paying $35/month to paying $135 after a couple of months. Beware! By that time you have already stored your belongings with them so it’s a pain to move them out.

Public Storage is the absolute WORST company I have ever dealt with period!! I rented a storage unit from the Public Storage on Kearny Mesa Road in San Diego. I bought a brand new lock for my unit and less than a month later I received an email stating that my unit was unsecure (no lock on door) and that I needed to come in to put a new lock on the door. The problem with that is I moved to Ohio over 2000 miles away. They refused to help me at all and refuse to put a temporary lock on until I can come in from Ohio. They just could care less about their customers and providing a good service. No, they only care about getting their money and that's it! Public Storage is without a doubt the worst of the worst!!! :(

This place is awful. The regional manager Marina and the one above her Lisa Thomas are criminals. They allowed a unauthorized user to have my gate code. That person went in and stole over $8000 of furniture from my unit. Not only that, but there was rat poop alllllll over everything and rats eat through furniture at this property. They will do nothing to help you out after they have made a mistake. Lisa doesn't care about customers. She will hang up and be completely rude. Dora is the only employee who seems to show any remorse or care for customers. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!! They will get your stuff stolen and highly damaged and DO NOTHING TO HELP!!

So your self a favor and avoid Public storage. The location on S. Meridian in Puyallup, WA is infested with rats. The initial rates are attractive but they will raise them frequently at their discretion. If the constantly raising rates are not bad enough the mold, mildew and rat excrement on your goods will really bum you out. STAY AWAY.
