“For 3 days during peak move in/out time (end of month and 1st of the month, no onsite agent available and no way to get a question answered; the app does have a live chat, but the responses are general, rather than specific to my needs. For the cost of the rental, one which expect SOME customer service.”

“Stay away from Public Storage. They will continue to raise your rates!!!! In 25 months they have raised my monthly rate by 55% from $179 (trying to get you in the door) to $401!!! And this is just for a small 10' x 10' unit in Picket St in Alexandria VA. I contacted them asking for some release and they said, "NO". I've contacted the BBB and basically Public Storage is holding me as hostage since I'm not in VA at the moment and don't have any other options! I understand that prices do increase but not at 55% in 25 months. Also, they are advertising my same unit for $185 (on line). REMEMBER - that is just to get you in the door, then they will raise your rates!!!!!”

“I am very disappointed in your company. I have been a loyal customer for over three years, never being late on a payment and you raise my rent every few months, no one can afford this. You asked if I wanted a lower cost unit, yes I do and I will find a lower cost unit with another storage company. BUYER BEWARE! Your rent goes up quarterly. A lot! I started at 169, I am now paying 395 and no one will talk to you, just the property manager who cannot do anything. The elevators go out regularly, there are new rules on how to enter and exit every time I go there…. I had to let someone out last time. It is TERRIBLE!”

“The public storage on Bullard is garbage. I went over there on the daytime to put my stuff in my storage and there was no dollies to bring up my belongings. Nobody else was there but me and there was no dollies to assist me in bringing up my belongings. This place is just trifling. The bathrooms are disgusting and don't seem like they are cleaned on a regular. If I had known they operated in this manner I wouldn't have never stored my belongings here. Play it safe and go somewhere else that can accommodate you when you go to store your belongings. They will call you about your charges, but do nothing to accommodate an easy transfer from your vehicle to your storage. Might be cheap, but not accommodating.”

“Had my storage auction off they were contacting me at wrong number which gave them right number could not wait 3 days would of payed what we owe auction off and got nothing told them there were just pictures and few personal items not valued to anyone els sold my things now wants balance ya ok worst place to go used rent without telling us stay away from this place you will regret it worst storage anywhere”

“Public Storage is a scam. I signed up for their Fall 50% sale in November 2023 and was promised by the person assisting me that the unit price would not go up for at least a year or more. They have already raised my rate twice. This company does the bait and switch. They lie to get you to sign up, but once you are signed up and locked into your contract, they say there is nothing they can do about the rates getting higher. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I am going to report them to the BBB.”

“They will get you in with deceptive advertising of low-rate then after you move in, they will increase the rate drastically by 30 to 100 % in a few months. Be careful and stay away from them, otherwise you will get ripped off. Please report them to government agencies like the FTC for engaging in unfair and unethical business practices. They are preying on poor people and increasing their stock share prices artificially by increasing rental fees continuously and ripping people off unfairly.”

“i rented a drive up unit online and when i went there 20 minutes later it was a dock 4 feet off the ground not stated on the website so i got screwed and they wont refund me the $29 or the $1 first month fee. i dont care you say its a non refundable fee because thats bad business update your website then. i was told i should have gone to look at it before i signed anything online. thanks for nothing”

“The original rent on my first 10 x 10 unit started around $40-$65. I’m not sure the exact number at this point in time the rate has been raised to around $260 for the same unit. I also have a second unit that has had a significant run increase. I’ve put in requests with the management which are doing their best but unfortunately having issues because the corporate offer office does not care about its loyal customers, I’ve been renting with them a little bit over two years and tried to work something out but it hasn’t been enough. I’m still paying over $200 for each unit. They advised that I move my belongings and consolidate it into a different unit. I also believe they may have said to switch to a unit with a lower rate , it’s unfortunate that they have such a lack of transparency. You really get trapped in here and people storing their valuable heirlooms or even things they really need but don’t have the space for. They have postponed rent increases if I really put my all into explaining how unfair the situation is, but it’s still not a reasonable price. If I could move my belongings, I would, but I as well as many others have health issues that make this extremely difficult. I’m currently selling the vast majority of my belongings and items that are extremely special to me because I can’t afford this. I’m sure there are hundreds of other people in the same situation dealing with this company.”

“This storage unit company is a bunch of crooks they raise your rent ridiculously they charge you for an auction fee and you pay your bill and don't even get your money back so far I paid a total of $248 dollars in auction fees now they raise my rent again I'll NEVER TELL ANYONE ELSE TO RENT from this company.... COMMON WEALTH....yeah a bunch of common butt h___les...”

“This company is crooked in how they continually raise the fee for the unit…every 3 months!!! They also have a ‘mandatory’ insurance fee- which is just another way to rip you off! Citrus Heights location is horrible!! Disgusting, overpriced units:(”

“Because of the two surgeries my wife has the medical bills are taking a large amount of money so I tried to close my storage but they said the parking lot was being resurfaced but Manager e will not call me back, it's been 3 weeks of calling now the new bill is out I feel cheated and coned.”

“Public storage is a rip-off. I paid for a full month's rent and when I moved out they refused to refund the difference. I think that this is a bad business practice and I do not recommend public storage”

“350 N Nova Road Daytona Beach FL. 32114 Unit B014 (10' x 20') We rented from this place. I hate there way of dealings after the first two months they jacked up the prices to little over 300.00 nothing like kicking a person down when they are really down and hurting. We lost our home we were living in a cockroach hotel for over 3 months we had to give up our dog. We were having it ruff to top iit off mom had to get on hospice which really hurt to much stress. Then we had problems paying the storage I paid two hundred dollars on it in hopes to get more time to pay on it. We lost everything we own like our clothes and quit a bit of antiques we lost over 1000 dollars on a Nikon camera very costly paintings these people only wants money they to me have no heart all callous . I can not believe we lost everything. This gave me a lot of anxiety. I. Asked them can they hold off on auctioning off our stuff I told them mom was put on hospice you think they have a heart no not them. We lost our filling cabinet with our birth certificate I had blood pressure meds in there as well. I just can not believe this where is the compassion. I really hurt over this matter they sold our stuff for 500.00 dollars and had the audacity to say that we still owe 400.00 some odd dollars. Then the lady on the phone snickered saying that they will report us to the credit bureau if that's what they want and they get off on it go for it u can not hurt us anymore then you had already. You guys are something special. I hope you enjoy your hard earned thievery. Don't spend it all in one place. Hope you choke on it.”

“Steer clear of this place!! They give a price to rent the unit and they will randomly start increasing the monthly rent amount once you've got your things in there. I called to ask why my rent amount increased by $40 after 5 months and was told by a rude representative that there's no cap on how much they increase your rent amount or how often they decide to increase it. She said it could be every 3 months, 6 months or whenever... Also, the property manager hides behind the 800 number, so good luck getting to speak with a person where your items are stored. I've left 3 messages for the Aledo, TX location and have never received a returned call. RUN!!!”

“Public Storage needs to let their customers know everything few months their storage fees will be increased. The ending of November 2022 the price of storage unit was $99 just paid my bill $155. I called to ask why the constant increase in payment was told to get a smaller unit. The unit I have is small. Now I have to make arrangements to fly to Florida and pay to get my belongings out of the unit. Please put it into your contract let your representative inform us to avoid additional expense and stress on your customers.”

“Public storage has gone up to $60 every six months I started at 180 a month I'm at 360 a month I have been shopping around I found a unit on 2920 in spring at I storage Same size unit climate control 10 x 20 for 118 a month 1/3 the cost of public storage”
