Very good at the beginning, all promises and high hopes, followed by poor communication, both people working with our house have left and we didn't know who is dealing with our sale, had to chase for a while. Talk a lot of negative talk about competitors, but do exactly the same things they blame the competitors for, i.e. "promising because they want your business". Also, and perhaps, most importantly, have to pay regardless of sale/no sale.

DO NOT GO WITH THEM. They are unnecessarily harassing my family who put their house up for sale recently, and didn't realise the small print of their unscrupulous business model. They do NO work at all on behalf of the client. Unfortunately my family chose to use PB based on online reviews which are probably plants/shills. Are all the 'positive' reviews online independently verified? Has Trading Standards investigated them? The purpose of this review is to forewarn all potential customers who are swayed by the incentive of 'no commission' taken. Think again and DO thorough research before committing. The only way we can bring this concern down is through education and refraining from business with them.

Sighned up for purple brick, bill board disappeared, purple bricks never bothered to replace it, only three viewing in 6 weeks, ended up having to pay for another estate agent who sold my property in less than two weeks but because of purple bricks contract I still had to pay them £1,300 for doing nothing, will never recomend them to anybody highly recommend you avoid.

It just doesn't work well. App puts people off - not user friendly at all. Bad garden photos. Bland description of property. Moved to a proper one now. Hated having to pay them for all they haven't done.

I just want to echo what others have been saying really. Waste of time! Recieved an offer on our flat...was told by Purple Brucks the buyers needed no mortgage and offer was in cash from savings. All was ticking along but not as it should have been. My solicitor hadn't heard from my buyers solicitor in a while. I heard that my buyers still had to get a mortgage broker, why? If they had cash? Also their funds were coming from 'abroad. I got a very bad feeling. 2 weeks before exchange they pulled out! Reason being ,the ground rent may increase,we have been here 6 years with no increase, but all bills go up ,the cited 'personal reasons he did not want to discuss! I got an e mail from PB that day telling me sale aborted! I felt sick! My husband rang the agent as we wanted them to be more careful with buyers and asked to help us push the flat..he said to my husband' what do you want me to do'? So when the proverbial hits the fan they couldnt care less!!!They know they will get their money so do not give a damn!! NEVER use them!!!!

Purple Bricks cannot sell houses. Their business model does not work. Six months with them and they could not sell. I put my house with a high street agent and it sold within a week. False economy

I was going to ask for a monthly increment on the rent of £25, was told by Pbricks that this would be an extra £26.40 in management fees?????? No I have been told that there is a fee for me to leave Pbricks, but no idea how much or why?

Totally Rubbish, waste of time. Scam agents, making con innocent people. My property was on sell with them, did not do anything except charging their fee. They don’t care about their existing customers as they remain busy in finding new clients. Please think why will they take interest to sell your property if they will get paid at the end (10months time) without doing anything for you.

Misleading Information! A complete waste of our time viewing this property and checking in with our Financial Advisor beforehand. Went to view a property today thinking it was a fixed price because they have advertised with just the "figure" with no "Offers over" attached. The girl said she didn't notice it hadn't "Offers Over" attached to it. Hmm...I wonder if this will be corrected before many others waste their time viewing??

Absolutely dreadful. Sell with any agent other than Purplebricks; having had my experience with them is the best advice I can offer. Their TV ads are entirely misleading and I’m considering reporting them to advertising standards. Their local property ‘expert’ is a joke and conspicuous by their absence. Any issues you raise are met with total rejection I’ve had to pay their fixed fee £900 just to get rid of them. I’m now employing a professional agent and my advice is pay a bit extra and get someone who will do the job, not just enter your details into a system and let it do everything automatically. They take your money for nothing.

I don't know why everyone is so surprised. If detailed research was carried out they would realise that Purple Bricks are just not estate agents. Dealing with the most valuable asset in your life requires good solid professional advice.

Stay away from Purple bricks at all costs, shocking service from the beginning of signing up to sell my house with them, constantly being lied to, loosing house keys, and where i have had to pay to replace the locks to my house. Also failing to take proper photos, lying about viewings, totally unprofessional service, lie after lie and shocking lack of communication. ended up taking the house off the market with Purple Bricks and going to a reputable high street agent that has been fabulous so far, and every person i tell about the long catalogue of errors Purple Bricks have made, are left in total shock at how bad their service really is. They have done sod all and are the most unscrupulous company i have ever dealt with. They even had the cheek to charge me for the service, i have refused to pay them for a non existent terrible service!!! Pay for what?? I wont be paying a thing to this company!!! Also to add that i was told im sorry about your complaint, (even though staff in complaints were shocked at what i had encountered) in the end senior Purple Bricks managers lied and didnt care about my complaint. said oh well its a lifetime fee it covers you so you dont have to pay to sell a house again with us. I tell you know i would never ever sell a thing with Purple Bricks ever again. Fuming doesnt even come close. why you are still trading i dont know. You should be struck off.

I attempted to buy a house through Purplebricks and after shaking hands with the vendor on an agreed price, the property was displayed on line as 'sold subject to contract' and I duly made arrangements for a survey to take place. However, I received a text two days later from someone purporting to be a Purplebricks agent relaying a message at 10.30 pm saying the vendors had changed their minds and were withdrawing from the agreed sale because they had been offered 'much more money'. This came as a surprise since the vendor had agreed not show the house to any other potential buyers. I suspect that if the sale had been through a regular high street estate agent, I would not have been led up with the garden path paying out for a survey upfront - I am still waiting for these fees to be refunded. As for texts arriving late at night, I consider this also to be completely unprofessional. Couldn't this news have waited until normal business hours? Was it delivered in this way to put pressure on me to increase my offer - I didn't. The whole package of online property sales is fraught with difficulties, namely dehumanised contact through texts and emails (from different PB employees and the vendor) and additional risk misunderstanding as you can't speak to anyone who knows what is actually going on. Very angry about the aborted purchase and mishandling of the survey arrangements. I will steer clear of Purplebricks in future.

I tried to BUY a house through Purple Bricks and it was the most frustrating, unprofessional experience I have ever had! I went to an Open Day and asked a specific question. I was told that the estate agent would get back to me (I don't know how as he didn't take my details). I chased this question up for a week. I put in an offer and it wasn't put forward to the vendor as it was too low! There was no negotiation. I tried to contact the vendor directly but never received a response. Purple Bricks let me view the property again at the same time as the successful buyer was there! The property became available again but despite telephoning head office and the local estate agent I never had a viewing as apparently the vendor had taken it off the market even though it was on Rightmove. It was so stressful and I was a buyer with several hundreds of thousands pounds to spend! I would never try to buy and definitely not sell a property through Purple Bricks. I have read that so many people have had bad experiences trying to sell their properties but why be so unprofessional when someone is trying to buy one?
