I have tried to call them on three occasions and held for +20mins each time at position No2 . I' not going to bother. Their loss of over £700 of vouchers at Silverstone

Pray that no one is stupid enough to gives you these worthless vouchers. Paid several times to extend the spend time only to waffled when I had problems. Should be shut down as con merchants. Seriously avoid but if you are unfortunate to have vouches from these individuals sell them on to somebody you don’t like ASAP

The whole voucher thing is a blooming con. I shudder to think how much money you make from unredeemed vouchers. We have begged friends and families NEVER to bother giving us these infernal vouchers. The process to redeem a voucher is ridiculous and interminable. Eventually you get some other bunch of numbers and then have to contact your venue of choice directly and then they only do red letter days in November . Bloody November, who the hell wants a beach getaway in bloody November . Total flipping con

Awful. No customer support, no way to ask a question. No live chat on their website, just a bot with selections that will never give you a live person to ask a question. Will never use them again.

Get a better deal direct instead of using the voucher, also the voucher is limited depending on where you are. I would of preferred the cash instead. This is just too much hassle and can be stressful.

I bought a voucher on 25 March but couldn't book the trip because the phone number was turned off. I contacted red letter days and received an email the following day with an alternative number to try but after all the problems I'd had I requested a refund instead. I have since had two requests for reviews but no response to my request for a refund. Really not what I would expect. I hope I don't have to go to the trouble of doing a charge back on my credit card

We asked for a refund. I purchased several vouchers for my husband. He spent hours trying to book them, couldn't get dates, was told he would have to pay pay extra for the Top Gear experience, most of the companies just didn't respond when trying to book. Shame as it was my husbands 50th Birthday gift to enjoy over the coming year.

I have tried to book a “Gourmet Getaway” using the Red Letter Day Gourmet Getaways book but it is both a farce and a waste of time. The first I tried the Whoop Hall Inn (page 104 in the book) it does not come up at all on the website The second the Higher Trapp Hotel (Page 101 in the book) is asking for a surcharge of £25 and even then, for continental breakfast only when it is available at the voucher rate in the book with “Full English Breakfast” The third The Royal Oak (page 91 in the book) when I tried to book on line it said they only took phone reservations, so I telephoned and was told that I had to email the owner Cass. I did so but got no reply, so I telephoned the next day and spoke to Cass who informed me that she had been too busy to deal with emails, but that she would respond later that day. She did not. Frankly in an age where virtually any hotel or restaurant can be booked on line immediately and without difficulty, what is the point of buying a voucher that offers (i) hotels that do not exist (ii) hotels that will not honour their offer (iii) hotels that cannot be bothered to take a booking? I tried to take this up with Red Letter Day Customer Service and they sent me a automated reply saying they were too busy and needed ten days to respond. Is that service?

We bought a Red Letter Day gift for our Daughter and her Husband, we also bought one for our Grandson and his Partner and another for our Granddaughter and her Partner all as Christmas presents. Three Red Letter Day’s in total. Our Daughter used hers recently and later told us that while the Hotel was very nice they had to pay an extra £100 as NOTHING was available for the value of the “ Gift” Her complaint was brushed off as out of RLD control. My contact with RLD, seeking reassurance that our Grandchildren would not be similarly badly treated was similarly brushed off. Be aware that the Red Letter Day offer is NOT as the Headline, it may not be the gift that you anticipated and may incur additional cost for your loved one!

This is by far one of the worst customer experiences I have had ever. I used their online chat and was given a phone number that when you called stated 'It was not operational!' 1st live chat person kept me waiting so long between answering my questions. I queried it and she said she was delayed as helping other customers! gave up as waited so long. Second live chat person helpful. I therefore ordered the experience he suggested but when confirmation came through it was for the wrong experience and location. I had ordered direct through their website using the order number shown, so was mystified how that had happened. I found a head office number to call and waited 25 mins to speak to someone who said she had changed my experience to the correct one, which I was relieved about as an expensive experience. She said she would send me an email confirmation with new booking details and codes. She then sent two emails with 7 attachments each (I had only booked experiences for 3 people). I therefore had to go through 14 attachments and when I entered the codes into the website they stated voucher codes not valid! fortunately one code showed the number for the car company to book the experience directly with and I called them who were really helpful. He mentioned this happens regularly with Red Letter in terms of issuing incorrect codes, not a great endorsement for a partner you are working with! he finally booked the correct 3 experiences. The whole process took 2.5hrs to book and resolve all these issues. I called after the booking was done to complain and phone lines not operational again! these experiences cost over £500, so it was expensive. I emailed twice to advise codes incorrect and the issues I had experiences and no-one has had the courtesy to reply in 3 days which shows how poor their customer service is. Dreadful experience. I will never use Red Letter day again. Avoid at all costs to save yourself what I went through!

Terrible customer service and awful website. Can “price match” but only if you notice you’re being ripped off. Don’t waste your money and just book direct.

I bought a voucher for a cookery course course at Cake Boy. The voucher is valid for 12 months The ad said there were a number of options (patisserie, chocolate etc) and two dates each month. I contacted Cake Boy 2 days after I bought the voucher. The only available classes in the next 12 months is 8 or 15 December, both Christmas Baking. Very limited availability and no choice of class

My husband bought me this Murder Mystery Weekend for Christmas 2019 after major cancer surgery which I couldn’t use because of lockdown Since them we have been emailing them to find out what to do since. It was over £100 and as pensioners it’s a lot of money for us to lose. 2022 and still not one email from them Will never use them again

Bought a voucher for a break, upon trying to book the hotel we were told there was over £300 extra to pay. They don’t tell you that. Feeble excuses from their customer services.

We bought a voucher for £119.19. The booklet listing the breaks available was there to read. When we tried to book our chosen hotel there was a request for over £300 more. This was not stated in the booklet, only when you get your voucher from the box does it say go on line to check Ts and Cs. I feel the booklet is is at best misleading and at worst bordering on deception. We have checked the hotel prices and it is cheaper to book direct. Trying to phone Red Letters is useless , I've been at number three for 20 minutes now.

Disappointing to read so many people with a similar experience to me. Bought an experience that was not actually available with the company concerned and the company weren't interested when I told them about it either. Having said that the Customer Service to repay was very good.

If I could give this company minus stars I would. I received a voucher for a certain experience. When I tried to book the experience was no longer available. I then found a different experience to book but had a couple of questions before booking, which the person from customer services said they would get back to me about 2 days later, they never got back to me and I had to sit on the phone in a queue for a substantial amount of time and when I finally got through to someone I was told that experience was no longer available! If the lady had gotten back to me when she said she would I wouldn’t have had a problem booking. I was then fed up of trying to book an experience so requested a refund. I was told on 20th December by Chelsea that I could have a refund. She knew the voucher was a gift and said that wasn’t a problem. I was told I should receive the refund within 15 working days, I didn’t so I chased by email and phone and was told by phone I would receive by 28 jan. I still haven’t received. I then yesterday received a response from Chelsea to my email I sent weeks ago saying that someone left me a voice message on 2nd and asking me to confirm it was sorted. This was a lie as I didn’t receive any call or voicemail. Today I then receive an email from Chelsea saying they can’t process the refund as I’m not the original purchaser. Despite the finance team previously saying for the second time that I would receive the refund by a specific date. This is appalling service. All I want is the refund of £35
