I bought a voucher for a cookery course course at Cake Boy. The voucher is valid for 12 months The ad said there were a number of options (patisserie, chocolate etc) and two dates each month. I contacted Cake Boy 2 days after I bought the voucher. The only available classes in the next 12 months is 8 or 15 December, both Christmas Baking. Very limited availability and no choice of class

My husband bought me this Murder Mystery Weekend for Christmas 2019 after major cancer surgery which I couldn’t use because of lockdown Since them we have been emailing them to find out what to do since. It was over £100 and as pensioners it’s a lot of money for us to lose. 2022 and still not one email from them Will never use them again

Bought a voucher for a break, upon trying to book the hotel we were told there was over £300 extra to pay. They don’t tell you that. Feeble excuses from their customer services.

We bought a voucher for £119.19. The booklet listing the breaks available was there to read. When we tried to book our chosen hotel there was a request for over £300 more. This was not stated in the booklet, only when you get your voucher from the box does it say go on line to check Ts and Cs. I feel the booklet is is at best misleading and at worst bordering on deception. We have checked the hotel prices and it is cheaper to book direct. Trying to phone Red Letters is useless , I've been at number three for 20 minutes now.

Disappointing to read so many people with a similar experience to me. Bought an experience that was not actually available with the company concerned and the company weren't interested when I told them about it either. Having said that the Customer Service to repay was very good.

If I could give this company minus stars I would. I received a voucher for a certain experience. When I tried to book the experience was no longer available. I then found a different experience to book but had a couple of questions before booking, which the person from customer services said they would get back to me about 2 days later, they never got back to me and I had to sit on the phone in a queue for a substantial amount of time and when I finally got through to someone I was told that experience was no longer available! If the lady had gotten back to me when she said she would I wouldn’t have had a problem booking. I was then fed up of trying to book an experience so requested a refund. I was told on 20th December by Chelsea that I could have a refund. She knew the voucher was a gift and said that wasn’t a problem. I was told I should receive the refund within 15 working days, I didn’t so I chased by email and phone and was told by phone I would receive by 28 jan. I still haven’t received. I then yesterday received a response from Chelsea to my email I sent weeks ago saying that someone left me a voice message on 2nd and asking me to confirm it was sorted. This was a lie as I didn’t receive any call or voicemail. Today I then receive an email from Chelsea saying they can’t process the refund as I’m not the original purchaser. Despite the finance team previously saying for the second time that I would receive the refund by a specific date. This is appalling service. All I want is the refund of £35

Not great at all. I booked a spa for my mum and me with Red Letter Days and unbeknown to me she also booked something separately somewhere else. I immediately contacted Red Letter Days to ask if I could cancel. This was a week ago and have not heard back leaving only a week to the spa day now. It was only then I realised how difficult it actually is to cancel with Red Letter Days. It keeps on suggesting that you change the date or change the activity but I don't want either of those things - I just want to cancel. We don't want two spa days! This is my first experience booking with Red Letter Days and would avoid such third party organisations in future.

Rip off. Same hotels can be booked direct or through booking sites for less money. Hotel we looked at to book wanted £440 on top even though could book it elsewhere for less than price paid to Red letter days. Same story on many hotels out of season and mid week. Advise to go directly to hotel or give people cash gift!!

Awful service, purchased a voucher with a value of £159 and still waiting to receive it. They have 'attempted' to get the voucher to me and raised it with the seniors and still have no response. I'm currently out of pocket £159 as well as the voucher being intended as an engagement gift on the 26th February which is now long gone.

Booked 2 experiences. Not able to get the refund. After browsing for days to find an accommodation available, I realized that was cheaper to book directly.

I was thrilled when gifted a 4 car track day at any number of optional locations. The only location anywhere near me wanted an additional £25-00 for booking this apparent gift with very limited dates available for the whole of 2022, and another £25-00 which is pretty much demanded for insurance AND I QUOTE (Anyone not wishing to purchase the £25 damage waiver will need to provide credit/debit card details whilst signing on, to cover the cost of any repairs needed. This must be a card with £5000 or above credit available at the time) Thanks CAR CHASE HEROES and Red Letter Days!! So it will cost me £50 for receiving a Birthday present. DISGUSTING

The experience day boasts about the high end cars the recipient can drive, but when you actually go to book the experience day you either don’t have any of those cars available near you or you need to pay additional fees to drive those cars. The recipient also needs to pay additional safety charges so they end up spending the same amount that you have paid for the experience. Not worth it.

Looks like good choice but available hotel dates for Red Letter holders are limited. City breaks do not specify hotels. Weekend breaks have no city locations. Have asked daughter to get refund but wouldn't hold my breath. Seriously don't give as present. Better to go to hotels direct whether giving or receiving.

You are taking money under false pretences selling overnight stays with dinner for £99 when every hotel has a supplement added to it and the hotels are much cheaper if you book them yourself for instance the grosvenor hotel Edinburgh £99 for the voucher plus a supplement of £53 Cost £154 with you I stayed here in June with dinner for 2 cost £69 stayed in August £89 for same deal you should be ashamed of yourselves people are buying these as gifts and the recipients are having to pay supplements to use them
