It has great looks and with the blower it really keeps majority of our home warm. The glass is also great to see the fire and have the atmosphere of having a fire during the cold winter.

The customer service at Regency is worse than non-existent, they’re downright insulting. I purchased a gas fireplace and had it installed by their recommended contractors. It works fine if you don’t care about aesthetics - in which case you probably wouldn’t be spending on regency prices. I’ve had nothing but problems, and if you’re going to have such imperfect products you’d think you’d at least have a good customer service team. I’ll never buy regency again.

Our insert has been a wonderful addition to our home. It warms up our whole main floor and is incredibly soothing on a cold winter evening.

I’ve had my stove for under a year and the blower doesn’t move the air good at all I have the F2450 with air mate and I had a 20 yr old, old New Englander that was good for 1500 sq ft. The blower could be felt 6 plus ft away. Now I’m luck to feel the F2450 1 1/2 ft away. When purchased I was getting the larger stove but was told this would blow me out of my house no need to go bigger! I am heating 1500 sq ft. With it! We had a milder winter in Maine last year and I would hate to see if we have a normal cold winter… I think I will be in a lot of trouble! As far a quality it’s awesome! But performance it sticks to be nice! And get the run around for where I got it and the rep they have! Just want issue resolved saved up a while for this purchase and I feel I did not get anywhere near our moneys worth for performance. And did not save anything on wood either! Hopefully regency backs there product and helps resolve this! Thank you!

I bought my regency i2450 classic insert with the black trim and handle a year ago now. An incredibly beautiful product and made within 20 minutes from my house in BC Canada. I run mostly Alder thru it and it’s the perfect woodfuel for me. Looking forward to many many years of glasses of wine by my stove! Cheers!

We love it. We have the Ci2700, and we see a huge difference. We will purchase another one and we do recommend it. Only problem: The automatic fan does not come on nor turn off. We have to manually turn it on and off.

The quality and the attention to detail association with our recent Regency Fireplace Insert reflects the corporate culture with exists in this proudly Canadian company. Their culture shows that customer satisfaction is their goal and that only comes with instilling “ continuous improvement “ into the entire buying/ installation and maintenance process with each and everyone of their products. They want you to be entirely delighted with their products and service so you will recommend them to your friend and neighbours. This is why I will buy another stove from them to replace my existing wood burning stove in my basement next winter. I recommend them completely - Jim

I was interested in buying an electric fire from Regency Fireplaces. I have been in the showroom twice to check out the fire I liked. I didn't feel that the gentleman who served me was that interested. The second time my friend came with me and she felt the same as me there was no interest to have a sale from the assistant. I was asked for my phone number and I'll phone you next week when we can come and see what needs doing. From that day to this not heard a thing. That was 3 weeks ago.! Now ordered a new gas fire.

We had our first Regency wood stove (model 12450) insert for 17 years and it’s performance was magnificent. Recently it developed two cracks on the face behind the door and the top bulged due to a ruptured weld. Regency honoured the lifetime warranty and replaced the stove (we paid the install labour). We appreciate the great customer service and great efficiency and performance of this product. Five stars for sure!

continual problems with this brand i own 2 of these. spent way to much getting them fixed. repair people do not know enough to repair these Canadian stoves. have had numerous people try and fix. A real pain during covid. plus it’s $300 every time to come out to fix. and we don’t even use one of the for the winter months as we are gone. i would go with a USA brand as it is also hard to get the Canadian parts. Also there is no app so you can use your phone when the remote dies on you.

We purchased a Regency fireplace model L965E in 2013 and every year since then we have had to call for service on the unit 2 to 3 times per year. Given this is the only source of heat for our home the constant failure of this fireplace presents significant risk to our wellbeing. Today, May 12, after returning from a trip out of town I realized that the fireplace was once again not firing up. This will be the second service call we will need to make this year. Not only is it frustrating but it is also expensive to have a service company, who must travel from another town to service this unit. Don't purchase Regency. It's not a quality product!

Fireplace is nice and looks great, but haven't been able to run it more than 15 minutes and finish the initial cure. Every time it kicks on, it causes the breaker to flip (arc fault). This is a 1960s home. The circuit panel was upgrade in 2017/2018 and as a result is now configured with arc fault breakers to meet current code. The fan for this fireplace, is on the same circuit as lights and is on an arc fault breaker to meet code. Spoke with an electrician. First option would be to put a higher quality fan in the unit, one that is designed to work with an arc fault breaker. I called my Installer (Jack Pixley Sweeps) to see if there is a higher quality fan option I can upgrade to which won't trip an arc fault breaker. Unfortunately this is not an option. The Liberty LRI4 only comes with one motor. There is no upgrade option available to me. I am now hiring an electrician to run a separate circuit to the fireplace which code will allow me to have on a non arc fault breaker which won't trip due to the lower quality motor. My request to Regency is to put higher quality fans in their units, ones that can be on arc fault breakers, and pass the cost onto the consumer. I would gladly have paid a little more on this unit which replaced a 25+ year old fireplace insert to have avoided having to hire and coordinate a separate electrician in order to meet code. I expect you will hear more and more complaints like these as the years go on and more existing homes have their services changed/upgraded which requires meeting code at the time. Please put higher quality motors in your fireplaces, ones that are certified to work on arc fault circuits, and pass through the costs. The cost of a higher quality motor is going to be less than the cost of an electrician running a separate line/circuit in older homes. I have been very happy with the installer who offered to come out and help troubleshoot with the electrician when he is here. I would have welcomed their calling out this possibility during the sales process as I have to think this is a common occurrence in older homes that have been remodeled. The sales process and install process was great as this was a plug and play install to replace a 25+ year old existing gas insert. I would use this installer again, but I will have hesitations about using your products in the future. We are planning on putting a wood insert at a future point in our basement fireplace. I am certain I will hit this same issue again given the age of my home and the upgrade to the pane to meet modern electrical code.

We purchased the HZ42STE see through gas fire place, it works great with one glaring problem. The batteries in the remote control receiving unit need to be replaced every two or three weeks. There seems to be a constant draw on the batteries even when the fireplace is not in use. Also, when the batteries die out when the fireplace is on the flame just goes out. Nice fireplace but it is expensive when you are constantly buying batteries.

Not too happy with the fireplace. But other than sitting down crying we just tolerate it. Had a house built, contemporary fireplace installed, paid a lot. Later found out, supposedly, it was a cheap fireplace and not heat sufficient for our size room plus other issues. Different store suggested this fireplace, so we paid once again 3 years later for a new fireplace install which meant tearing down a new 3 year old wall. Fireplace has great heat output. (unlike previous) Remote was interesting trying to figure out because no one tells you how. Regency has no one to help, online says contact installer, and there are no youtube videos. Finally figured it out. Down to the fireplace, my white wall is dark about 10 inches up, cracking, chipping and peeling. In the spring the glass surround frame is beyond a nightmare to hang. There are all kinds of things the brackets can catch onto leaving it higher on one side or tighter on one side (see photo), difficult getting it even. It's heavy so it isn't easy for one person to be wiggling it around trying to catch the bracket. (Don't dare damage it for what it cost!!) One good thing, it hides the peeling paint better than the black metal winter bracket. I'm now ordering black tile for my all white wall in order to hide black soot marks. ...After I have the wall repaired because of the damage. Last, the stones are lovely but not one fireplace store likes removing them in order to clean. You need to stay by their side and watch to be sure everything gets cleaned and checked. All these things to take into consideration buying this and any modern fireplace. If the glass bracket didn't have so many things to catch onto it would be great, even at the cost because it is lovely. If there were instructions on the remote, it would be great. If my wall didn't turn dark, it would be great. The heat output is great. For now, would I recommend it? Based on issues and lack of help from Regency, no.

We purchased this unit primarily for the aesthetic with the "hopes" that it would provide good heat. The first weekend we fired it up it got down to the low 30's outside, and we had to turn off the heat pump in the downstairs of our new house because it was in the mid 70's and we were sweating. I would have absolutely no reservation about using this unit as a primary heat source for the entire house (3200sqft finished) in the case of a power outage. It absolutely cranks.

I purchased two F1150s Woodstoves--one for my 480 sqft cabin, the other for a 400 sqft bunkie. I did so based on their specifications--specifically the assertion that the burn time was "up to 8 hours," and that the stove was appropriate for "600-1,200 sqft." I found that even using properly 2 year seasoned dry hardwood, neither of the above were accurate... My chimney is not excessively high, I have short ceilings and lots of insulation. The wood is good quality. Despite this, the maximum burn time, damper fully closed, was 4.5 hours--beyond this I would have to start a new fire. In addition, the stove was insufficient as the sole source of heat. Thankfully my retailer--was very supportive, while Regency themselves took no responsibility, and offered no assistance--to correct a problem entirely created by their specifications. I might add that the Regency sales rep. told me that he "would not have sold me the F1150s, but instead would have sold me the F2450." This is basically admitting that the specifications provide are misleading. When I discussed this with him, he was unpleasant and attempted to blame me... So, make sure you have a good retailer--since Regency themselves are not going to back their product nor take any responsibility. Also, do not buy this stove if it is your only source of heat. I have had Regency stoves for years, and they fit a good price point.... Just a warning about the F1150, and their customer support.
