“***Beware***. Rented car in Toronto at Economy Rent a Car. When I picked the car up I was told that RentalCovers insurance could not be used for their rental car. I had to buy insurance for $29.99/day. I informed RentalCover of this situation only to be told that they would not issue me a refund because the policy was not the same one as Economy's policy. In other words, RentalCover is trying to pay for a policy I could not use. Disputing this fraudulent charge through my bank.”

“I dinged the right ftont bumper of my rental. Although I had bought other insurance through the car rental company they charged me almost $2k above what their insurance covered. I made a claim on Monday, RentalCover approved my claim on Tuesday, and they direct deposited the full amount I owed to my bank account on Thursday. Thank goodness I bought insurance through them. Europcar, the car rental place, was so awful, rude and horrible to me that having RentalCover be so helpful was a godsend. I highly recommend them for CDW insurance. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!!”

“We rented a rental car in Cyprus from Germany via Holidaycheck, which included Rentalcover as an insurer. Unfortunately, one tire was flat from one day to the next and the repair costs only amounted to 35.70 Euros. Rentalcover asked for countless proofs and was not satisfied with anything, even though I had completely submitted the requested contract documents provided to me by the rental company, just to be able to reject this minor claim. It really couldn't be any more petty, I've never experienced greater customer unfriendliness. Not a hint of accommodation. For us it is clear that we will never rent a car again where Rentalcover acts as the insurer.”

“I got full insurance for a trip and had a small accident - scratches on the side of the car. This was on 09/17/2023. I did everything correctly, I paid what was charged to me by the rental company on the spot, with the promise that I would receive a refund from the insurance company - after all, I paid the most expensive insurance for this. I still haven't received it to this day! It's been a month and a half, they claim that there was a disagreement with the rental company (which is not my problem, I did everything correctly and they should have to pay, not me). And, to make matters worse, they ignore my attempts to contact them!! Ridiculous, so far I'm at a loss of 5000 reais!!! I took out insurance to avoid this type of loss and, for something that was not my fault, I had to pay! I don't recommend it, they let you down when you need it.”

“RenatlCover.com is a horrible company to deal with. I will never use them again and I do not recommend RentalCover.com to anyone. Despite many attempts to get in contact with someone, they do not respond to emails and do not provide any other way of getting in touch with their team. I received an automated email approving a refund and stating when the refund will be deposited. It has been several weeks past that date and I have not received the funds. They ignore any requests and inquiries of mine, do not provide any resolutions and simply just do not respond. It is impossible to get a hold of anyone. My theory is that they are just waiting for us to forget and stop following up.”

“I will be providing a public review on google. From the outset Rental Cover’s intention to disqualify my claim, which was very straight forward was clear. Ultimately, after many emails, and submitting all the paperwork, my claim was not awarded. I was rear ended in a parking lot, while not in the car, during the insured period. I was charged $4000 and will not receive anything from Rental Cover with no explanation provided. Save your money and skip this coverage, either go with the company coverage or explore coverage on your credit card.”

“I originally took out Full Protection insurance with RentalCover on booking a hire for a week in Queensland, as the premium was very reasonable. Unfortunately had a minor damage accident whilst on holiday which necessitated a claim on RentalCover for the repairs. The procedure for reporting the accident and forwarding a claim online was straightforward and RentalCover required supporting documentation to substantiate my claim. They required additional documentation and information over the course of several days, but within a weekly claim had been approved and the claim settled with the money deposited into my bank account. Can't fault RentalCover at all and I have sighted negative comments from other consumers which I don't agree with. I believe that if consumers provide all the documentation and information concerned with a claim then all should be straightforward and claims paid out quickly.”

“Lied about whether or not their insurance coverage would be accepted by the company I rented the vehicle from and then made me jump through a ton of hoops to try to get my money back. They didn’t refund me because I hadn’t cancelled before the date of my coverage, but I couldn’t have known that the company would refuse their insurance u til prior to that date. Total scam”

“There website doesnt allow you to file for claims. Went on line to search for there address. The 800 telephone no in Cal. and the address is in NY.Next time i will uses the car rental insurance for coverage”

“trying to file a claim for vandalism. after filing out and downloading the document requests with police reports, photos, rental agreements and tried to submit it came back as unable to find the the page. i have also contacted Rentalcar.com which owns this company and after more than 3 hours on the phone and being put on hold multiable time they gave me a number to call which ended up being some on the other side trying to sell me something. do not Under any circumstances use either of these company.”

“Rentalcover.com is totally a scam. No contacts and not much information provided to the customer when first purchased through online. DO NOT trust any online third party insurance companies unless you want to ruin your holidays.”
