I had an accident in New Zealand, while refuelling, they had a type of petrol which I didn't know existed in the world (called Go Clear), in my driving experience, I only knew unleaded and diesel. Unaware of what was Go Clear (thinking it was unleaded, since there was no signs), I put 1dollar worth, because the gun was slow, so changed to another one unleaded. then the car started playing up, called the rental company to notify immediately, rental car got replaced on the same night. Still unaware of what happened until I got the bill of more than 4000 dollars, then the report says I was refuelling with wrong petrol, which I did not even know existed in the world. Started googling and it seemed that others had same kind of accident, even the local insurance changed their policies to cover these accidental damages. The end was that I was hit with a hefty bill for this accident that Rentalcover said they were not covering because I breach the agreement with rental company for negligence, which I contest from the bottom of heart, I had always been good with rental cars around the world and had a excellent record with zero accidents, except this one. Very disappointed. Also I sent 2 emails pleading for reconsideration but no replies. It is also impossible to get some other contact forms other then the email that I got... Not what I expected when opting for Full Cover and paid for not being covered.

On June 8, 2019, we rented the Mercedez Benz MB.GLA 180.UL car, registration 8130KTN, the rental contract N ° 6034803924, the reservation number 1103732923. The car was removed at the Madrid Atocha RENFE station. On the same day, we traveled to the city of Córdoba (Spain), when we arrived there, we were going to our hotel Hostal Almanzor, it was within the restricted traffic zone. Arriving at the corner of Pje.Sta Teresa Jornet streets and Amador de los Rios street, our GPS told us that we should turn right to reach our hotel on Amador de los Rios street, we saw a sign indicating that It was a street of restricted traffic, but as a car had just passed we thought they would notify the hotel so as not to have a fine. The surprise was that when we started to turn towards Amador de los Rios street we felt a strong blow to our forehead. The surprise was that a steel cylinder had been lifted from the ground, which was later explained to us by the police who told us that this “Pomona” caused many daily accidents, that day it had already broken 4 cars. We did not know that we had to notify which hotel we were going so that Pomona would not rise. Then we saw on the internet that in the city of Cordoba the 4 pomonas that exist caused many accidents. In our case we could not continue with the car because we broke the radiator, the cooling water was lost and the bumper (bumper), we replaced the car. I paid for premium insurance on the Rentalcar website and I hope they will pay the full amount of the claim. The repair amount of the workshop report was 2789.80 Euros, on the first invoice that Europcar sent me on August 7, 2019 (invoice / invoice: 100619911056) the value for damages was 1258.40 Euros, this was the value that I requested to Rentalcover and that was already paid and deposited on August 30, 2019 in my account. On September 18, Europcar sent me a new invoice for 1531.40 Euros, (invoice: 100620193556), which I loaded on my Visa card. This new charge corresponds to the balance of expenses for missing damages (2789.80 - 1258.40 = 1531.40 Euros). The system does not let me fill out a new claim for RENTALCOVER with the same number (0Q9J-E3LQ-INS). I already sent an email to Rentalcover but they still haven't solved my order. To avoid this problem I recommend taking out the insurance of the company where the vehicle is rented.

I am still in the process of my claim and keep getting emails asking questions that are right in front of them Ex. We would like for you to confirm why you were charged 120,000 kr when the repairs are only 104,496 kr well let's see it's right there on the credit card that they refunded that I even put little arrows on, please don't expect an immediate response to any of your questions it seems they Dodge to answer any that you have another example I sent all necessary paperwork and then they say some is missing no I checked everything is there. Then tye next email is for someother excuse of why it is not getting processed. So far this company is a negative in my eyes let's see if they can change my mind.
