I recently sold several items on Reverb and was totally shocked and dismayed by the amount of fees and charges that are hidden and they deduct from the sale of your gear!!!!! I sold an item for over $600 and walked away with less than $500!!!! And all they reference is a 5% fee!!! Total rip-off plus takes 4-5 days to get your money! So disappointed!

Despite receiving damaged item, supplying several pictures of clear damage, and messages from seller admitting it was damaged, Reverb ignored their own policies and did not honor a return. Buyer beware when dealing with large sellers that Reverb profits greatly from.

I have a been a seller and buyer on Reverb for year with no issues ever! My companyLefTropolis Guitars has nothing but 5 star reviews on Reverb. I have been consistentlyharassed by scammers trying to setup meeting with me to purchase outside of reverb.These are attempts to set users up for theft which could potential result in bodily harm.Reverb collects millions of dollars form users but fails to protect their privacy and safetyfrom scammers. After being consistently harassed by a scammer, seeking to defraud me by setting up a in person meeting to steal my equipment that I had for sale. I respondedto the criminal using the fake account, stating his actions were stupid that i and any oneelse would defend themselves against theft. For this I was permanently banned. Reverballows fake user accounts and sellers to be harassed and then they cancel the accountsof legitimate users when they respond or complain to Reverb. This is an abuse of myrights as a user to be able to use the platform is safe and fraud free environment.However Reverb has no loyalty to its loyal customers who earned them money as long as everything stays quit and no one know the number of thefts and crimes committed across the country because of their inability to protect their users. Please see the attached files from scammers trying to get me to email them outside of the platform or meet them in public. I have faced and had to deal with on a almost daily basis. There ares several others. these are just some of them from the past 60 days. I have not violated any polices against a real Reverb User or staff. I was banned for responding to a FAKE user with a Fake account who Reverb themselves banned from the site. Reverbs communication policy applies to staff and active legitimate user accounts on Reverb. I violated no policy for legitimate or active users. i was responding to scammers who were a threat to me and my property. i have the legal right to do that.

Horrible customer service almost impossible to delete my information and account this is a privacy concern as well. My credit card information and my bank information should be my control and not yours. I will never use your service again.

Absolutely horrible company. Bot-based customer service, the most maddening experience I have ever had buying something online. The idiots running Reverb.com aren't going to have any customers running a site based on selling items to artistic people with no human interaction. Their business model is just as dumb as the day is long. Talk about being out of touch with your customers. If you expect to chat or email with an actual human, expect the lag time to be about a week or so. 0 stars. Zero.

I have been waiting 9 days to get paid for merchandise I sold on reverb. I had navigate through a maze to find customer service. They only have chat, no phone. Shady. I have dealt with 3 people. One emailed me back to ask if I got paid. I sadi no and have not heard back. I have requested my funds be transferred 4 times now on the website. I have filed a BBB complaint. Not only that, they take almost 18% of your sale for themselves. Somebody's getting paid! Will never sell there again and will only buy if ABSOLUTELY necessary. They seem to have the market cornered. I don't see how with their horrendous service.

I ve been a seller since reverb was founded and I've just been suspended for repling to a scamer. Yes I used a N word to Id him! They have scamers are all over this place now . I listed a item and quickly got requests to email my father, he wants it! These people need to be cleaned of the site so us sellers that have done 80k this year can work here! No they suspended me! Advoid selling here there postage calculator is a scam to. They is no way to ship 10 oz's unless you convert it to Kgs. Othere wise it is 1 oz then they charge you for incorrect weight! A scam that they won't fix as it makes money for them. Also UPS insures all shipment foir 100.00 automatially but if you don' t use Reverb shipping you are not covered at all. Clearly a antitrust violation! I want to file a class action sue on them for these attacts on us!

I have been on reverb for years with no issues. My company LefTropolis has 5 star reviews. Yet my account was abruptly closed with no warning and no clear reason why! All I received was a template gauge email but no details I what policy I violated or any warning. I have sent several emails to customer support and received 0 responses from Reverb. I have $7500 in payments that I have not received. Even though the customers have received their equipment and left me 5 star reviews! I have a 5k refund due to me from equipment returned to the seller. He has the return but I have received no payment! Reverb exploits sellers and musicians by guaging its clients with ever increasing fees. Yes they are so overwhelmed with complaints they don’t even have a customer service number you call to resolve issues! Their customer service team does not respond to emails. They have inexperienced brainless leadership & staff working there who close accounts with no due process or warnings and totally destroy the years of investment a quality seller has invested in the platform. They should be investigated and a class action lawsuit should filed for overcharging sellers and the lack of customer support needed. Im contacting my lawyer Monday morning! Their incompetence has cost me thousands in sales and they are refusing to pay me money I rightfully earned!

First time using Reverb. Seller never shipped after 5 days. Told they couldn't find the item! Got a refund and wasted my time.

This is a terrible company. They started because the founder thought eBay had poor service; however, eBay is a million times better than this joke of a marketplace. I do not recommend using Reverb. If you have any issues, they are no help and will drag things out over the "5-business days" to make you wait. Also, you only get chat bots, not people you can work with or speak to.

Only way to talk with anyone at Reverb is through chat. Because it’s a BOT, no real help. I withdrew my listing g and would never use this company again. Sad thing is I had potential buyers but because I could validate some information with Reverb, I wasn’t able to sell.

Received a damaged guitar a week ago and Reverb still will not give me a refund or a return label. Horrible customer service. They could care less. Never buy from them. Lie about how long it will take.

Absolutely no support for any problems you may run into with a seller. Reverb.com has no customer service that I can find at all. They have a lot of pre-written statements that they will send you until you figure out that there simply is no help and that you're on your own. Reverb is a very disappointing platform for buying anything. There are lots of other options out there...STAY AWAY FROM THIS OUTFIT!

Thieving practices like in Africa. They will take 10 percent of the price together with paypal. The fee is calculated even with the price of the postman, which is outrageous. Everything is fine for the buyer, but for the seller it's complete hell on earth.

Thought I might try Reverb to buy a guitar at what was admittedly a fair market price. Money was accepted and all emails from Reverb and seller were answered in a timely manner. Days later a message was sent to me stating the guitar was not available despite having my money for 4 days. A refund was issued and it is pending. Reverb responds to complaints with "we are not responsible for refunds or communication between buyer and seller, etc. BS" Buyer beware because sellers are offering things perhaps not available in the first place. Done with Reverb....horrid customer service. It is not my job to organize their messaging and emails. Refund still "pending"

Selling on Reverb is a very bad idea. Savvy buyers can morph the “as is” purchase into an unfettered return policy. They do this buy altering the instrument just slightly enough to create an issue. Then report to reverb that the instrument is not as described. So I sold a near brand new Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul 1968 reissue. Not a day after the buyer received it he texted me and asked if the nut was the original nut. Of course it was. He said that d string and only the d string was buzzing. Ultimately he was able to get a refund. What he did was he filed the nut at the d string down just enough that it was lowered to buzz. You don’t have to be a guitar tech to know how that little trick will work. So buzzing on one string and it being a wound string is rare unless there is a specific reason such as the saddle or the nut being off a bit. If it was the neck, fretboard or frets it would likely result in issues effecting more than one string. So if a buyer just decides he doesn’t want the instrument he can pull a stunt like this. I am not a brick and mortar retail store with a liberal return policy. And yet Reverb basically allows buyers to users the as us policy. I would be very cautious about selling on Reverb. Not to mention their fees are outrageous.
