Just got your new insurance for house+contents what a joke with you for 20 year never claimed

Good price for our insurance but needed 2 names on policy for mortgage lender which RIAS failed to print on documents. Was advised that 2 names were on the policy but not printed? Which leaves us with a problem with our mortgage lender.

mix up with renewal of policy and new policy did not enhance my experience. Shame I did not have time to cancel this policy then go back to renewal. Not sure why web cost is higher than postal renewal quote anyway, seems different to any other firm John amandini

I was very disappointed last year when attempting to renew my house insurance policy. My renewal fell due while my wife and I were away on a long holiday in Australia. I always pay the full amount each year. When I rang to renew a couple of months before we went away I was told that it was too early to renew and that the only way to guarantee renewal was to pay by Direct Debit, which meant of course I had to pay the full quoted renewal price. I have been a loyal customer of RIAS for a few years now and was concerned that there was a lack of sympathy for my situation. I shall be looking at other firms when it comes to renewal.

i AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH YOUR SERVICE EXCEPT THE YOUNG GENTLEMAN SAID HE WAS TAKING £18.00 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT AS THAT WAS WHAT i HAD TO PAY AND HE TOOK THE FULL AMOUNT. i WOULD ALSO LIKE THE DOCUMENT ASAP REGARDS

My home and buildings insurance was with Rias for many years. When I was burgled they made it feel like I was being robbed again. The customer services manager was rude, arrogant and totally unhelpful. I am now insured with another company, even with a claim I am paying less. Rias should be avoided.

Main complaint is time it takes to get through on the phone. Last time I rang it took over 20mins to speak to a person and then he said that he was a trainee and could not answer my question and I was put on hold yet again! When I did get through I could hardly tell what she was saying.Her comment was that my phone was faulty and hers was fine.I pointed out that I could hear the "robot" who was telling me how sorry she was and the dreadful "music " perfectly well. Dread to think what the phone bill will be. Why not just have the engaged signal when you are busy?

The price was excellent. We were provided with easy methods of providing proof of no claims bonus and set up an online account was easy. No complaints so far!

I have dealt with Rias before and found them very competitive on price. This year once again the were better priced than a lot of other insurers.

Generally good. However despite paying as soon as I received the quote, I subsequently received a letter stating that I had an outstanding balance. This was an annoying blemish on what was otherwise good service.

Your product was simple and the price competitive, The lady on the phone was good but your internet service was awfull it failed.

The website was very easy to follow and the form was very clear and concise to obtain a quote. My quote was saved and it was straightforward to access it again a couple of days later with any additional extras carefully explained. I struggled a bit to get my no claims bonus in the right format to be accepted but other than that it was a good experience.

Cut off on 1st phone call and the man had not recorded any details to that point. The 2nd call was sucessful. The man said when I picked up my new car the showroom could just phone and get insurance details sent by fax or email to them so they would release the car. When the showroom rang up they were told there was no facility to send the details to the showroom.! After trying through the showroom to get temp insurance so I could drive the car away for over an hour I suggested ringing you again and got a most helpful lady who said no problem to send the info by fax and it was through in 10 minutes. I had to cancel a medical appt in Glasgow . Even though I had allowed 2 hrs for picking up the car before I would need to leave for this appt. your staff should all give the same information and some should try to be more helpful.
