I received this garbage can and it was obviously a return because it had been resealed with Rona tape, when I opened it the lid was missing, I sent an email to Rona telling them about the missing lid and never had a response, so in a nutshell the can is great but will NEVER but from Rona.ca again.

Waited 4 weeks for shoes to arrive to Australia. The most uncomfortable steel cap shoes I've ever worn. Complete waste of money, I've had to go and buy other shoes because these hurt your toes.

i ordered 5 greenhouse trays with peatmoss pellets and today my order arrived and i recieved a 50foot drain auger???? i called customer service and the lady told me that i had to return item, wait for refund then reorder (hoping i get what i ordered). i was not happy and wanted the store that sent me the wrong item phone number, the agent hung up on me!! (i dont think it was on purpose, but im unsure). i called back and got another agent, she told me i had to speak with 1st agent i spoke to but shes on a call now. I asked her why she would be on another call and not call me back when we got disconnected, she said she was unsure but she should have, she then said she would have her call me when she was free. i said ok but can i also speak with a manager? she replied yes but we are all working from home and none available right now so i will have one call you. I havent recieved a call from anyone from rona customer service yet, i am so frustrated

This is second time I have tried to order clearance items on line. It shows items in stock, confirmation of order recieved by email then o follow up eamail arrives saying Rona cancelled the order and in 5 to 7 dats my card will be refunded. Is this a strategy where you put great prices to lure shoppers in then cancel hoping they added other items to their cart? No more on line shopping at Rona for me

Rona , well where do I start , my wife has been trying now for three attempts to purchase products online , as Rona pushes for , so we sit down get our list together for a line purchases , after about one hour we hit send and find out some of the products aren’t available , ok , so next we call , spend a little over a hour to get a replacement product , but it’s never just one hour , language barriers , ugh ! Most annoying, I’m all in favour of equal opportunity for each and every human , but come on I speak fluent English I would like to speak to a person to which speaks to a 10 yr level at least , never the case , moving forward with our order after now 2.5 hrs as we are and try to be patient , we agree to a few replacement items to find out at check out still a couple aren’t available , ok so now we edit our order and say we will try and aguirre the items at a different store , maybe the competitors , instead we discuss a further discount up to $200.00 off max on non sale items , now we are at 3 hours , they request we use a reference code to which we copy down all the pertinent information, time of call , person we spoke with , and the confirmation number to get our 20% off , we thank them and hang up the phone and carry on with our day , 1 week later we attempt to place a different order using all the info given to us , we have a $1246.35 order to which only two items are sale items taking us down to the $1000.00 max $200.00 off order and guess what , they can’t find the notes regarding the deal we spoke of not a week ago , so we are just totally frustrated with Rona Canada , this isn’t the first time or second time , this is the two times most recently , and because of this I wanted to do a review to turn others away from Rona , these big box stores have pushed all the little guys out and now can’t look after there repeat / first time customers ………Rona Ugh ! We spend on average for Reno’s and repairs , $30-$60k every 6-12 months ……..wtf Rona , well I can honestly say I won’t shadow your doors ever again .

Were delivered a 37 inch vanity. Took the cabinet out of the box which had to be torn apart to get it out. When opened the top realized it was damaged. After numerous hours of talking, emailing and chatting with them online we are told they will not simply send us a new top (we would have returned the damaged one) that we have to go to Uhaul or somewhere similiar, purchase a box, package it up and arrange to have it returned. Worse customer service we have ever had.

Rona Installation Google Review What should have taken 2.5 days is now stretching into it’s 24th day and counting for our floor installation. 1. The estimators were given specific instructions on measuring out the top floor and basement and had to be corrected several times by our real estate agent during the assessment. 2. The luxury vinyl did not need a vapour barrier but were charged for it and it was later removed. 3. To facilitate a faster installation, we removed the baseboards, sanded and painted the drywall ourselves. 4. Floor delivery - After playing phone tag for 3 days, we gave up, rented a truck and picked up the flooring ourselves, 40+ packages weighing 60 lbs each and moving them into the house. 5. The transitions in the order were for hardwood instead of laminate and we had to go to the store and exchange ourselves. 6. Some equipment was left on our tiles scuffing it up. 7. The top floor banister was removed overnight with children in the house and left open. 8. The planks were cut so short in the basement that the shoe moulding was unable to cover the gap. See figures 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 9. The bedroom subfloor was levelled for free in an attempt to remove the large dip in the middle of the room. This was redone leaving smaller dips throughout the floor instead of initially lifting the sub floor and addressing the issue properly. Sub floor is also not nailed down correctly, causing loud creaking noises when walked on. 10. Too much carpet was removed at the top of the stairs leaving a 1 – 2 inch gap between the nosing and the remaining carpeted stairs. An old piece was resewn on but a gap is evident and the pile falls in the opposite direction. See figures 1.6, 1.7, 1.8 11. When the banister was reattached to the nosing, instead of drywalling the holes, they put an old/used piece of baseboard to cover it up. See figures 1.9, 2.0 12. Upon completion, installers left garbage on our lawn, bottle caps in our sink and failed to clean the floors from the dust and debris. As well, they left pieces of trim with nails in our washroom. See figure 2.1 13. Clearly unsatisfied with the work, we refused to sign off and waited at least week before someone came out and assessed the work. 14. It took another 6 days of calling persistently, on a daily basis, to get Rona to send someone out to fix the problems. 15. Finally, an experienced installer was able to rectify the short cuts in the basement. Hr tried to reattach a piece of carpet under the nosing, but it was too tiny of a piece and could not be done properly (leaving it not looking seamless, figure 1.8). He began plastering up the drywall, and mentioned that it needed 2 or 3 more coats. It has yet to be sanded or repainted. That was 5 days ago, (Sat. Oct 9th) and they were unsure when they would be returning to finish the 2 day process of properly levelling the bedroom. 16. There is incredibly poor communication between the Rona Burlington location and head office. Paying $7627 in labour alone for 2 floors of a townhouse seemed higher than average but we were confident in the Rona brand expecting a quality turn-key solution for the flooring installation. The additional stress, unending phone calls, repeating the case to numerous people at all levels of this corporation has consumed significant portions of our day at work and at home. Instead of resolving this directly with Rona, it is time to pursue alternative avenues of resolution.

We purchased landscaping blocks and paid 30 to have them loaded on a pallet. We Were told the 30 was refundable upon return of the pallet. There was no mention of keeping the reciept. The 2 guys loading screwed up-it was a back and firth GONG SHOW and eventually they just threw the pallet ontop of the blocks. So the pallet was no use to us - but we were exhausted by their incompetence. 2 weeks later we return with the usless pallet we paid a deposit on - and we were refused a refund. No appology. Nice expensive firewood! Thank Rona!

As a Resident of Ontario it is shameful that this company sets pricing that is displayed on all stores However, the privately owed stores do not follow the posted prices and I have personal paid a 30% increase with no remorse from the store. The owner just statedthat they do not have to follow the pricing set by RONA HEADOFFICE... Shame on this company... avoid Goderich Murrays Rona for this reason... just trough feeders like our goverment and politicians

Ordered an item for over $700 that was available online only. Upon proceeding to click “place order” I kept getting an error message saying the order could not be processed. Figured whatever I’ll deal with this later. 20 minutes later I realize they actually charged my card for the item, but an order was never placed. Customer service basically said the order was never completed and my refund would be given in 5 to 7 days. Wtfffff how can you charge my card for an item that didn’t get processed as an order. My bank also confirmed that they physically debited my account so I would have to wait for the refund as it wasn’t a “pending” preauthorization. I still have no idea why I kept getting an error code when trying to place my order. I’m now stuck waiting 7 days to see if I get refunded.

Walked 20 minutes to get to Rona to buy work gloves which were on sale as of Aug. 27 (today). There were none in the allocated space on the shelf so I advised a clerk about this and she said they were probably sold out. When I pointed out the special only started today, she checked their online inventory and said they should have 12 pairs. Another clerk advised they had not been put on the shelf yet and to come back tomorrow. Terrible customer service.

Absolutely terrible communication. Rona refuses to honour a warranty that came with my purchase and is well within the warranty period. Every person I speak to just passes me off to someone else. I had one person tell me the issue isn't covered. How do you diagnose something when you haven't inspected something, or even read the emails I've written? The responses I get via email make it very clear that they haven't actually read them.. One csr was kind enough to offer me 10% off up to a max of $50...like that will make up for the $500 brick I have sitting in my room. I will never purchase anything from this terrible store ever again as this is probably the most ridiculous "customer service" I have ever had. The warranty is literally spelled out on the product manual, with contact info for Rona, and says Rona will cover it, and somehow Rona thinks the warranty they offered doesn't apply to them.

BH Allen Rona on West 1st St North Vancouver. I have spent over $20000 on outdoor furniture here. I had an issue with a tank in their tank exchange program See my Yelp review for more details. Anyway, Ben the shift Manager would not exchange a full, faulty propane tank for good tank. I needed a receipt. Really? I told him my 8 year history with the store. Ben did not care. They just lost a loyal profitable customer for a $28 tank of propane.

This is regarding your abhorrent installation services. I bought a garage door opener and paid $199.99 for the installation. When the installer tried to install it, the keypad was defective and I called Chamberlain to send me a new one. The installer made a note in the 732120 file. When the garage key pad arrived, I contacted the installer directly, as I was directed to and he texted on July 23 "I can send him (the installer) next Monday or Tuesday." Then I got another text message from him: "Hi unfortunately tech won't be able to come today. I've been trying to get Rona to schedule an appointment for several hours but with no luck." So, then I called Rona the next day and spoke with someone who confirmed that the installer had made notes that he would need to return to finish the job because of the initial faulty keypad. I later got a phone call from Rona asking if Tuesday Aug. between 7-12 pm would be a good time for the installer to finish the job. I agreed. Today is August 5th. I waited beteeen 7 am and 12 pm for the installer at 12:30 I began making phone calls. The phone number attached to the text from Rona, not the installer HAD NO ONE AT THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE. NO ONE ANSWERED ANY CALLS I MADE OVER A TWO HOUR PERIOD. I called head office, they suggeted I call the store. I then called the store. The woman there said she would call the installer and have them call me. That phone call went to voicemail. When I called the number back, THERE WAS STILL NO ONE ANSWERING. I called head office again and said I wanted this resolved. When I asked to speak to the manager, the woman HUNG UP ON ME. At 2:39 I received a phone call from the installer saying that my appointment was NOT booked with him. So, who called me and booked the appointment almost ten days earlier? No one seems to know that answer to that one. Jennifer, from the local store, called me back to follow up, which I appreciated, but HOW ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE UP 8 HOURS OF MY DAY? The run around the being on hold, the phone number THAT WAS ATTACHED TO THE TEXT TO CALL SHOULD I NEED SUPPORT with no answer, the website that is included in the text for the booking is a bad URL, the fact that the installer did not come back to finish the job, which would have been just a few minutes, all despicable business behaviour. How will you make this right?
