Bad experience I would give it zero stars! Spent 2 hours sorting through wood (Horrible) Went to check out and the flyer said 15% off if you spent $100. They wouldn’t honour because they said lumber wasn’t included. You would only know this if you found and tried to read(such small print) at the end of the flyer. We will never shop at Rona again.

It is zero rate. The worst experience i had with purchase online. I made order for 1800$ at night and the next morning there was a sale for 15%. I called them and have canceled the order because they refused to apply the discount. I kept calling them for 4 days to get at least an email for cancellation and they kept repeating the same sentence that they are waiting for the vendor. I am stuck with their system which is unprofessional because while waiting for their confirmation the discount will be over.. I dont recommend anyone to buy from their website online.

I experienced it twice RONA.ca ( Sunridge, Cagary NE location). First i bought a Fridge, after two months Cooking range the delivery guy did not scheduled the appointment one day before the arrival. It is happening again, tomorrow they are supposed to deliver cooking range and delivery company did not call me when they are coming. Delivery Window is 8am to 4:30 pm. why the hell these people do not care others time. (Fu*k Me) why i ordered again.

My senior parents Bought a shed from Rona and paid 600$ for installation. The install was great and the shed is great. However, all the garbage (cardboard, plastic and a double length skid) was left behind. We were told after the fact that there is a disposal fee for the material. That fee was 80$, then 90$ then 95$. No one mentioned this at the time of purchase or while scheduling the install or even during the install. It was just left behind leaving us to try to contact Rona flat figure it out. Customer service is deplorable, leaving us to dispose of this material at a cost to us over a week later when it should have been removed at the time of install, and this fee should have been included in the install like any other reputable company would do.

On July 3, 2025 I wanted advice from Rona in Vancouver about the installation of their barn door. After an appalling encounter with someone who was referred to a the "expert" and who was full of "I thinks", "I believe" and "I don't know", I was recommended to speak with an installer. I was asked to pay a $80 deposit. The installer called once to offer me dates I was unable to accomodate. I told the installer when I was available and to this date I have never heard back from the installer. What a disorganized, dysfunctional company.

I want to share my bad experience with consumers. I am a regular customer of Rona in Brampton. 15th of August I purchased a patio set. Set was on sale and I could not believe the price. I asked the associate Mr. M if the price is right. Mr. M oh yes that is the price for complete set but umbrella is not in this price. I asked him please check if the price is right. He called his manager Mr. S and manager gave him approval by saying, yes it is a set. I purchased it and agreed to pick next day. Next day I went to pick it, I could fit only chairs in my van so I left and told them that I will come back for table. Here the fun starts. I went to pick the table and I was told that I have to pay for the table that price was only for chairs. My fault I did not check the bill and they made for chairs only. I had small argument with seasonal manager but he was firm but he gave me a choice for the table. I told him this employee sold me this and manger so and so approved it. But HE stood firm on his decision. I left thinking next day that employee will be there and he knows every thing. Next day morning all kind of excuses I got for this manager Mr. S, not in his office, coming at 9 and he is gone to India. When I asked for employee Mr. M, wow he lied by saying he sold what I asked for. I had only one option and that was to buy the table. Now suddenly table price was not what I was offered by seasonal manager Adrian. I asked them to call him and he stood by his decision and table was sold on the price I was offered by him. Adrian I would like to thank you for not changing. You are the only person there with balls. Being humble and little polite can solve any situation. We all do mistakes but an apology can make us leave without bitterness. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE LEAVING THE STORE

I bought a Blackstone pizza oven (model 6825) online using the Rona website. Save yourself the hassle, and do not purchase through the Rona website. I contacted Rona customer service since my new $1300 oven was missing the advertised infrared thermometer. Rona issued me a ticket number but that was the end of their service. 1.5 months have passed and the Rona ticket is still outstanding despite my repeated follow up with Rona. I eventually contacted Blackstone to resolve the problem directly.

We were looking for taps in the plumbing aisle of the Rona store in Ancaster Ontario. All of a sudden staff members began flooding the aisle talking among themselves and leaning against the shelves blocking the products we were trying to look at. Nobody spoke to us. They acted like we weren't there. Then they started a staff meeting, making loud announcements, praising their own performance while still completely ignoring the fact that we were trying to shop. Common courtesy would suggest they should have acknowledged us, asked if we needed any help or at least apologized for the inconvenience. We felt invisible as we crept out of the store to get in our car and drive to Home Depot.

No staff in garden centre the entire time.We spent enough of our time waiting so got a refund and went and spent our money at Home Depot!

Went to Rona in Gloucester Ottawa to buy tiles for bathroom renovation and the guy working there didn't have a clue and seemed very uninterested so we left and went to the one in Orleans. Was a bit better but not much. Didn't seem to care either. Our contractor said, customer service has died.

Ordered a gazebo it arrived a day late then ordered a couch it also took a week longer than expected then arrives missing one out of three boxes so that is completely useless maybe will arrive next week. I will never order from Rona again

If I could give a zero stars I would. Anytime you make a purchase with your debit card and have your return it, you have to wait 1-3 business days for the money to be returned. Unacceptable for such a big company. You took the money from my account right away why do I have to wait to get it back. I will tell whoever will listen AND NEVER shop here again. They tried to tell me it was my bank but I later found out it happened to a friend with a different bank so it’s on Rona. So if you have an expensive purchase you need to return…you will wait 3 days

Ordered this product on July 1. I was short shipped half of my order (paid for two sets and only received 1). The 1 star is for customer service as they don't update at all and haven't been able to get my missing set shipped (it has been 3 weeks and I am now returning and asking for full refund). I would give 5 stars for the product. Just as advertised, nice colour and weight, they look wonderful, at least the 1 set I received does!

Only 2 out of the three boxes were delivered. The 2 are useless without the third as they are all for one large piece of furniture. They will not refund because I received part of the order. They will not pick up the useless boxes.

Went to Rona plus in Sherwood Park today to get some plumbing pipes, connectors or reducers. All I found were empty boxes and an employee who didn't have a clue where everything would be. Very disappointed with the Store since it changed from Lowe's to Rona. Not worth going there.

We ordered and got charged in full for outdoor patio chair cushions for delivery in time for our BBQ party but they were never delivered. We phoned both Rona and Purolator (their delivery service provider) to complain and they told us that there was a labelling error in the address. When we demanded action on their part to resolve, they both pointed their finger to each other for responsibility. As of now, two weeks later, we still do not have what we paid for and the matter remains unresolved. Our BBQ party is now over. To save your sanity, DO NOT purchase anything on-line from Rona. It is hard to believe such a well-established Canadian business can be managed so poorly.

Little plastic cap to fill hole was obliterated and side panel had a chip on the bottom. Customer service was the worst ever. Online order, initially they wanted me to ship to store in Calgary who shipped it to me apparently. Two weeks dealing with people, still not settled.

Needed seed potatoes advertised on Rona's site. Went to closest which claimed they had 11 units. No units available. Phone west edmonton location, gave them the item number and the clerk said he had more than 20 (website said they had 23) and that he had checked the shelf himself. Perfect. Drive across the city to the store and they can't find the item. None in the store. Unacceptable. Don't really care whether stores are Canadian owned when service and communications is so poor. Had a storm door installed which did not fit properly. Called the store in Crossiron Calgary and was told by Ashley, install coordinator, that she would speak to installer and get back to me. That was last Friday and now Wednesday evening and still no response. Looks like they are not even calling me back as they have their money so I guess who cares?
