So far behind Home Depot. Does not provide option for electronic receipts and the Customer Service Desk at the store cannot produce duplicates even when you provide dates of purchase. Lowes wasn’t the greatest in this regard but the takeover by Rona has only made the situation worse. For ease of doing business, I will no longer shop at Lowes !!!

I bought hand rail stairs from Rona Laval and classic colonial from Rona+ Laval on wednesday 9 october in the afternoon, but the sizes didn't fit so i went back on thursday morning at 9 AM to send them back at Rona Carrefour,I dont know why i had to spend 45 mn waiting the employee to check the product to be able to return it (a product that i bought yesterday), and then she asked me to return the Classic colonial to Rona + Laval because it is discontinued on her site and i can return it, so I went to Rona+ they refused to return the product in the beginning because I told them the story, but they persist to refuse the refund, I told them that the receipt doesn't mentioned final sale and by the law they have to return the product, 15 mn of stress and discussion with many employees, then finaly they make the refund. it is the horrible place I ever saw. even they do not deserve one star , but star below 0. Rona retour est la pire expérience qu'un client peut faire face , et une étoile est trop pour eux il devrait avoir une étoile négative en dessous de 0.

In the last two months have had two bad dealings with Rona at Park and Tilford in North Vancuver. The firs one was early November 2024. My wife and I went in to buy a new freezer. We found one bought and paid for it. When we got home we got a call saying they did not have it and tried to upsale us. We cancled the order. Then on Oct.3,2024 I went back to the same Rona looking for a new dishwasher. Once again found one, bought and paid for it including delivery, installation, and removal of the old one. The delivery date was set for Oct.9,2024. On Oct.8 I received a call from Rona to reschedule. I told the person that I would not reschedule as the installers were all ready booked and paid for, as well as I had booked the 9th off of work to be home for the delivery. I was told our dishwasher was still in Calgary and it was impossible for the delivery. I responded that it is not my fault and they need to fix this. I was then told if I didn't like that I could talk to the manager. I said fine put your manager on. I was promptly disconnected. I tried calling back to there customer service 28 times. Of those 28 times the phone was answered 5 times. Of those 5 times three were to the appliance department which were not answered. One was to the store manager where I left a message. After about 2 hours I tried again asking not to be transfered but to have the store manager paged, after several minutes the phone was again disconnected. Finally I was so frustrated I drove down to the store. Once there I asked customer service for the store manager. About 5 minutes later the customer service rep comes back and tells me the store manager is on a conferrence call. A few minutes later a floor manager appraoches me to ask about my problem. I explain everything to her. Her reply was I should email head office. I asked for the order to be cancelled and our money refunded. She agreed but was very indifferent, did nothing to try and remedy the problem and make a customer happy. As for the stoe manager it seemed to me he just wanted to avoid the whole situation. And has not even returned my call. To me he is a lousy manager and a coward to hide in office and let his employees deal with the problems he should be. I will never shop or step foot in Rona again. And they got a one star rating only because I could not give them zero.

Purchased an over the range microwave from Rona Heartlake branch in Brampton. Paid $150 for installation.Rona has contracted subcontractors to do the installation. My installation was done very unprofessional and the installation completed in less than 20 minutes with just 1 support at the base, did not use 3 parts of the installation brackets which came with the microwave.A gap is left between the wall and microwave. Very unprofessional,no training in proper installation and no clean up.

I’m so disappointed in the installation service From Rona+ Kitchener ON. I bought a Range hood and paid for installation, I was assured that the installation team will let me know within 48hrs when they’ll come by, one week later and after several calls from me, Rona+ Kitchener gets back to say, the installation will happen the next week. Just now I got info that the installation won’t happen for another week because the drivers car is bad! Two weeks of waiting to get a range hood installed and still no resolution. I wish there was a rating less than a star, I certainly would have clicked on that one! Uzor Enwesi

Worst customer experienced that I've ever experienced in consumer goods. I bought a gazebo in July, 2023. In March 2024 the roof crushed. The gazebo had a 1 year warranty. I filed a warranty claim and the customer service said they were contacting the manufacturer. Now it's 5months out and no word. I wrote several follow up emails but no response. The store could not help. Please do not buy the gazebo by Roth + Allen, not worth your dime. Not sure if I'll return to Rona to buy anything that has warranty again. I have proof of what I wrote, I have email chains and all, credit card statement, the receipt ink has disappeared.

I think Rona plus is not all that good? I bought 100 foot hose two months ago didn’t think about hanging onto the receipt and fell apart so I took her back to the store. Told him I didn’t have the receipt couldn’t tell him what date that I bought it because it was two months ago in June And they said they couldn’t return it so that means the return policy is not all that great Besides, trying to hold onto a receipt from two months ago, it would be faded by now

I purchased an appliance for our cottage online and chose the delivery date online. The only date available meant we had to remain at our cottage a day later than planned. The store called and confirmed the day. The day prior to the delivery I received an automated confirmation of the next day delivery and arrival window which was late day/evening. Despite all the confirmations the item was not delivered and there was no communication of any problems. Customer service automated answering said they were closed and I had to go online to reach an agent by chat. Eventually I was told that the store did not receive the item for delivery from the warehouse. However the delivery company called at 10:30 pm after we had left the premises to say they could deliver by 11 pm. The store manager called the next day and said the delivery driver ran out of time. Because of the missed delivery I told the customer service agent, the store manager and the delivery company to cancel the order and refund my money. This was not done and I have had to open a dispute with PayPal to try and get my money back. This demonstrates incredible lack of competence by managers and contractors, complete failure of any communication by Rona and generally a complete lack of any reliable customer service by Rona. I will never purchase anything from Rona ever again.

What have you done to the Cisco paint? In the past I was happy with this product. This time after purchasing the bath and kitchen and the endurance brand I’m am disgusted with the results 2 coats and the original beige wall is still showing it I also purchased the top quality brushes and rollers for application. It was like applying drywall drying too quickly, blotchy not adhering to the wall the coverage was double the amount used to paint this area previously Going to another brand in hope to correct the finish

I purchased this trailer earlier this spring at Rona + in Waterloo Right from the start the lighting system was an issue Got it to work enough to get me home More issues with the lights at next use Called Rona+ of the issues they told me to call the manufacturer Witch I did No one one the phones so I emailed I Had to register the trailer twice with the manufacturer DK2 For what ever reason first registration didn’t take I asked to take it to a qualified technician No response DK2 just sent replacement parts Even the parts they sent were defective So I made the decision to take it to a local trailer shop to have a look In 1day they found defective wiring within the new tail light itself that they sent me Now they won’t cover the cost of the repair I had to pay for No customer service no one manning the phones I wouldn’t recommend DK2 trailers that RONA+ sells anyone I would tell them to run I would hope RONA+ of Waterloo would get in contact of DK2 to cover this cost Bad experience from these 2 companies

Went to paint department the lady there was very rude and condescending Label on can I brought in was rained on and I was told probably five times to take a picture She would say that’s why we don’t leave can in rain that’s why we take a pic of label !!!!! Quite rude and treated me like I was stupid . She did not even try to make out the label even tho I said you can see the numbers We both then proceeded to guess the colour through the colour tags . We picked the wrong one and she blamed me !!! She called the manager The manager made out the proper one that I needed because he took the time to look at the old label . But because she blamed me for the first can I was then told I would be charged an extra 10 dollars because of the misstint . At this point I was so upset at the situation and how I was being treated I just paid and left .i will not be returning to this store . This was at the rock wood store in Teulon

I have a faucet manufactured and sold by RONA, which supposedly comes with a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, it's now dripping, so I reached out to RONA for replacement parts. I don't have the original receipt or paperwork, as I never anticipated needing them based on my positive past experiences with other brands like MOEN. After spending an entire afternoon trying to identify the model through pictures on their website, I was told they couldn’t help me without proof of purchase. This makes no sense to me. The faucet is installed in my bathroom, in the home I've owned for 23 years. What other kind of proof do they need? Do they think it’s stolen? This type of customer service is baffling. When I had a similar issue with a MOEN faucet, they replaced the entire unit without any hassle—just a phone call and a picture, and they even covered the shipping. To say I’m disappointed with RONA’s customer service would be an understatement. Lesson learned: I'll stick with reputable brands like MOEN and Danze in the future. The customer service rep was just voicing the company policy.

Ordered bookcase on line measuring was wrong immediately tried to cancel Emails, phone calls chats unsuccessful keep being told they had to get in touch with third party. Phoned the local, Kelowna, store order was cancelled and email confirmation. One day later item delivered was refused and still waiting to be refunded. My suggestion go local and do not rely on Rona customer service on line their main objective is to patronize customer but do nothing.

I am a subcontractor and shopped at Lowe's for a long time and never had a problem on till now since they changed over.I always buy different things and see which one works best and I return the ones that I did not use. Sometimes I lose the recipe and normally they check the card u used and you get your refund. Now if you don't have your receipt they scan your items and make sure it's their product and they give you a store credit only for less than you paid I was told it was about $1 less on every item.So I am going to drive the extra 5 or 10 minutes to HOME DEPOT where I know I will get my money back even with out my recipe because they look up the items and card that was used and refund with no problems.

I was returning a packaging tape that I purchased yesterday at Rona ,Vancouver Grandview 83704, I explained to the customer service that the tape is defective and they tried to see themselves if true. They were talking to each other which I believe they are Indian nationality in their language and again talking in their language they approach another employee and started talking in their language, finally they approached the manager and he said can’t accept the return because it was opened. Obviously it is open, how will I found out that it’s defective when I intended to use it . It only means Rona can’t stand on what it sells to customers. Let your employers speak the right language and not talk in their native Language specially they call themselves costumer service . So disappointed and have no plan on buying from your store again.
