I oredered a light fixture that arrived with a damaged glass shade. I was told that I only had 3 days to report the issue and I was too late. I really don't think that is acceptable.

I really wanted to support a Canadian affiliate but every time I’m in Rona I literally can’t find what I’m wanting and end up going to. Tonight I stopped and had 7 things on my list and not things that were odd or abnormal. I walked out & honestly there’s no chance I’ll go back unless they hire a different purchasing manager!!

I was trying to buy Canadian. We don't have many choices when it comes to building supplies. I went to RONA because they used to be Canadian (owned by an investment firm out of New York now) I visited the store to purchase paint for doors and trim, as I was looking for better quality paint than what I had. A clerk assisted me by showing me three options, and I chose the mid-range paint priced at $48, as it fit my budget. While the paint was being shaken, I noticed a sign advertising 30% off SICO Endurance, which would have been a better-quality paint at a lower price of $42. I asked the clerk if I could switch to the discounted paint (she should have known about the sale). To my surprise, the manager refused to allow the switch because tint was already added to make it white. I ended up purchasing the original paint because I needed it for my project, but I left the store feeling disappointed and frustrated. This experience has made me reconsider where I shop for my renovation needs. When I got home I sent in a complaint and they offered me 10% off my next purchase. I felt it to be an insult. So I phoned customer service, they offered me a $10 gift card. That at least brought the cost down to the sale price. But I'm still stuck with crappy paint. You would think customer service would be more of a priority during these tense political and economic times. I guess not.

Rona in Barrie Mapleview, the customer service is disgusting. I tried to return a product which I was not satisfied with and because it was used and according to them it had no defects, I could not return it. They simply told me that I had to take it back home. Ask for the return policy and they tell me that it only works if the product is damaged or if it is not used and is returned in its original packaging. Do not go to Rona. You will regret it for sure if you have problems with your product, I assure you.

Went to the Brampton (Steeles Avenue) to get a sheet of Baltic birch plywood @ almost $100s a sheet I might add, but I needed a couple cuts to even be able to get it own. I commented to the guy that they needed a new blade annd that I wasn’t even sure it was usable with the ridiculous amount of tear out. His comment was that, “yeah, the saw was really dull”. So if you know it. The customer calls it out and you work in a hardware store with blades 100 ft away, why not fix it? Because nobody cares!

Travelled 25 minutes pushed in time to buy melamine shelves on sale(only$1 off). Shelf was empty. Bought some other ones and asked for rain check on out of stock ones. Check out person did not know what a rain check was. Customer service said they had some in the warehouse in stock if I wanted to wait until they could get them out. Said “sorry, but I’m too pushed on time” asked for a rain check. Customer service said they can’t give a rain check because they do have some somewhere in stock. Again said I didn’t have the time to wait and had come from the other end of the City to get these. Nope no rain checks Perhaps if you’ve something on special you’d have someone monitor the stock and replace those sold. Thanks Rona I’ll pay full price at Copps.

Orderd a cabinet online. A month later, all we get is 'we don't know where your package is. Call Purolator '. Dead end with your shipper. That's not our problem. It's yours! We want our money back, for a product we never received.

I ordered a $3000 shower kit to be delivered.December 5th. It's now Dec. 16, and I still don't have it. It's holding up a renovation project that was to be done by christmas. They use Day & Ross to deliver who have proved useless at solving the problem. Never again

Buying a trailer from Rona is a night mare as when my trailer arrived in Kelowna I was promised by the shipper it was coming but it did not then they promised my weekend but still it did not Trying to get answers I was only placed on hold and sent to several departments with still no answers Then finally was told it was the weather which caused the delay and then again told it was in transit but to my recollection the trailer was in town ????

Bought an Equator 4600 Model washer / Dryer combo in October 2024, after 4 uses washer is showing an error code and is no longer working. The issue I am having is with the service dept of this washer, I keep getting the run around. I have sent a pic of the error code, + 2 other emails as well as spoke to the service dept on the phone. I have of as yet got an email stating when a service individual will come out.

Ordered online a snowblower. Date of delivery was Nov 23rd. They did not even process my order until Nov 28th with new date of deliver for Dec 2. Late last night they posted weather delay. Not sure how it takes over 2 weeks by ground purolator from Ontario to Saskatewan. Not blaming the courier as it took over a week for Rona to create a shipping label!

I ordered online a Greenworks leaf blower . The item was advertised for $67 + tax. Being Black Friday the item arrived the next day to my surprise. However when I opened the package the only item included was the leaf blower and not the battery and charger as shown clearly in the ad photo. I thought that I must have miss read the advertisement and the battery and charger were not included but no there they were as clear as day pictured in the ad. I called Rona to complain and what I got from them was leaf blower only and you can purchase the battery and charger separately. To which I replied no thanks I want what was advertised in the photo .... a Leaf blower and the battery charger. I looked at their ad again and in the description it says something about leaf blower only. Well I would assume that the battery and charger is part of the leaf blower. What good is it without them . The blower by itself is useless without it. It's like buying a car and it has no engine. I spoke to a supervisor and she would not agree that the advertisement though very clear did not include a battery and charger . She then offered me some kind of gift card thinking that was helpful. I replied why wont you just stand behind your ad and picture and that it was not my fault that your had was flawed and disceptive. I then told her that this issue was going nowhere and I'll return the item and not dear with Rona anymore in the future if this is the best that they do for customer service. Customer service is not their forte. Tried to price match and they said there is low quantity online and the products can be broken. I said the product is in store and I can see it, they refused to price match. at that point why have a price match policy. just say it was a gimmick to get you in store.

Rona has now missed out on selling me two major appliances. A few months ago it was a washer, and the sales person in the appliance area never looked up from his computer, and today it was a gas range, and the two employees present just kept chatting to each other.

The website offered 24 months no payments no interest in store only if you went through their credit company flexity; see associate for details. The people in the store had no idea so it took hours to set it up. When I got home I set up my online account and found out I had 90 days to pay and after that I had to pay interest. When I contacted flexity, they told me I had to go back to the store to refund it and repurchase it. I phoned Rona and they refused to do it over the phone; I had to bring the hot water tank back to the store, bring it inside, get a refund and repurchase it. I said if I had to bring it back I wouldn’t rebut it and they did not care. I will never shop there again. Home Depot is so much easier to deal with. They said to take the survey on the website and it had no questions about Rona.

The website is awful. It’s impossible to refine your search results to find what you’re looking for. For example, enter dehumidifier. I get 115 results which include air purifiers, humidifiers and chemicals.
