“Rona in Barrie Mapleview, the customer service is disgusting. I tried to return a product which I was not satisfied with and because it was used and according to them it had no defects, I could not return it. They simply told me that I had to take it back home. Ask for the return policy and they tell me that it only works if the product is damaged or if it is not used and is returned in its original packaging. Do not go to Rona. You will regret it for sure if you have problems with your product, I assure you.”

“Went to the Brampton (Steeles Avenue) to get a sheet of Baltic birch plywood @ almost $100s a sheet I might add, but I needed a couple cuts to even be able to get it own. I commented to the guy that they needed a new blade annd that I wasn’t even sure it was usable with the ridiculous amount of tear out. His comment was that, “yeah, the saw was really dull”. So if you know it. The customer calls it out and you work in a hardware store with blades 100 ft away, why not fix it? Because nobody cares!”

“Did not! Went to Rona a few days ago. More employees than customers in the store. Searched for the products I needed couldn’t find. No one asked if I needed help, went to Home Hardware, was asked immediately, showed me, went home with the product I was looking for.”

“Aadil at the W. Gwillimbury location is as good as it gets. We have dealt with him a couple of times on new purchases and warranty issue and his service couldn't have been better. He had Paris assist us with the last return warranty issue and she was great as well”

“Travelled 25 minutes pushed in time to buy melamine shelves on sale(only$1 off). Shelf was empty. Bought some other ones and asked for rain check on out of stock ones. Check out person did not know what a rain check was. Customer service said they had some in the warehouse in stock if I wanted to wait until they could get them out. Said “sorry, but I’m too pushed on time” asked for a rain check. Customer service said they can’t give a rain check because they do have some somewhere in stock. Again said I didn’t have the time to wait and had come from the other end of the City to get these. Nope no rain checks Perhaps if you’ve something on special you’d have someone monitor the stock and replace those sold. Thanks Rona I’ll pay full price at Copps.”

“At the Sechelt Rona Appliance Department we had a very knowledgeable and helpful experience with Laura in selecting three appliances. The availability for actual delivery took a while, but in the end the timing turned out well. Laureen was also very helpful. The fellows, Zeus and Alec, who delivered our laundry centre and new range couldn't have been more efficient, knowledgeable and polite. We will visit Sechelt Rona again, next time we're shopping for an appliance.”

“I was looking for some plumbing parts today at the Pickering Ontario Store. One of the sales associates, Noel , helped me find what I was looking for. He was pleasant knowledgable and helpful. First of all, it's nice when you don't have to go searching for help over the entire store for help, and second of all its a real bonus when you find someone that can understand your needs and help to solve your problem. THANKS NOEL!”

“Ordered cabinet with install from store in Kanata Ontario Installer took incorrect measurements or designer took down wrong Delivery showed up in my driveway NO notice co call no email like they said they would Had to help delivery guys get pantry in house - too heavy for them After day one installer left cabinets unlevel, not plumb After day two installer left cabinets unlevel , not plumb,not sure to each other Used cardboard from cabinet packaging and screw box for shim DSM said card board is good to use since he saw it on internet... ya ok Cabinet had only 1 screw holding . Missed stud with other screw Cabinets not secured to each other Used 1 drawall screw to fix to other cabinet Didn't use hole saw for back of cabinet for plumbing stub out I can go on.”

“During my visit to purchase topsoil at the Langford location in December I was assisted by Sam in seasonal. Sam listened to me, he was polite, courteous and knew the product, and even showed me items that were marked down, which I would not have seen if not for him. First class service is rare nowadays, and its great to see that it does still exist!”

“Orderd a cabinet online. A month later, all we get is 'we don't know where your package is. Call Purolator '. Dead end with your shipper. That's not our problem. It's yours! We want our money back, for a product we never received.”

“The manager at Rona ( near the Costco in Windsor) was incredibly helpful on helping us find a Christmas tree. He went “ above and beyond” and provided exceptional customer service!!! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him, personally, and his store in general!!!!”

“I ordered a $3000 shower kit to be delivered.December 5th. It's now Dec. 16, and I still don't have it. It's holding up a renovation project that was to be done by christmas. They use Day & Ross to deliver who have proved useless at solving the problem. Never again”

“Buying a trailer from Rona is a night mare as when my trailer arrived in Kelowna I was promised by the shipper it was coming but it did not then they promised my weekend but still it did not Trying to get answers I was only placed on hold and sent to several departments with still no answers Then finally was told it was the weather which caused the delay and then again told it was in transit but to my recollection the trailer was in town ????”

“Bought an Equator 4600 Model washer / Dryer combo in October 2024, after 4 uses washer is showing an error code and is no longer working. The issue I am having is with the service dept of this washer, I keep getting the run around. I have sent a pic of the error code, + 2 other emails as well as spoke to the service dept on the phone. I have of as yet got an email stating when a service individual will come out.”

“Customer service terrible. Called the Ancaster store….disconnected multiple times, transferred to wrong department….when I spoke to a person she was rude…when I suggested I would give a bad review she said it didn’t matter…”everyone knows what customers are like” and if I wasn’t nice she could just hang up or transfer my call…given this is store policy and rude or no customer service is justified as the customer is the problem I don’t see much chance of improvement….where not to go anymore”
