“Royal Mail is the worst of the worst delivery company. Almost every time I have problems receiving a parcel if it is delivered via Royal Mail. Deception, irresponsibility, terrible unpunctuality and indifferent attitude towards the client - this is what Royal Mail is now.”
“Absolutely joke, every month getting medication delivered, 24h service, and they not following requests, and saying that delivery was attended, which Absolutely lie! Im waiting in living room,no one even show up.people should be fired for that. What kind of "service "is that? Evri/amazon better! It's happened 3 months in a raw, and other time in between. Joke!useless”
“4 times I have booked a parcel uplift,4 times they have told fibs as to the reason they could not collect(there was someone in the house all day).If I had looked at the reviews before taking this action I would have acted differently.Terrible service.”
“Absolutely appalling service Post man dont even bother to access my letter box and I live on 2nd floor. Dumping my confidential mail on starcase is not uncommon.
A hudge mass of my consignments , both as recipient and sender lost without a trace.
Service by RM appears to be a third world country.
Complaining is just waste of your time”
“Appalling service! I paid on line to have a parcel collected but after EIGHT days of not bothering to call I had to drive it to a post office myself! EVRI every time in future.”
“I've gotten to the point where I feel grateful when a parcel actually arrives! They're often just left at the local dispatch office with no attempt to deliver or notify they have it.
I was sent a package - "Guaranteed by 1pm delivery" for 3 days ago. Tracking says it got to my local D.O. and that's the last I've heard of it. I'll have to head over there tomorrow to pick it up. And a package that was posted first class recorded over 2 weeks ago finally arrived today; and I felt grateful.”
“Not fit for purpose. Bottom line they don't care & can't cope with demand. Tracking not updating for 5 days . Really. . Staff from our local delivery office said its not a technical issue they were hacked so now buyers will use the loophole to claim.a refund AND keep the item. Ridiculous...and imagine this at Christmas. Lost a lot of loyal customers after this week & 97% 1 star reviews on trust pilot too. Shame on you”
“absolutely terrible terrible service ,bought some stuff from germany ,been in the country for 2 weeks ,rang several times ,lied to several times ,had to drive 100 miles in the end to pick it up ,to be confronted by the grumpiest woman i had ever met ,who insisted i couldnt take it because it wasnt there ,after an hour they found it ,if she wasnt a woman i woulda punched her in the face .constantly late deliveries ,pay for first class and it turns up a week later ,says tracking ,there isnt any just when its delivered ,caused me numerous embarrassments sending stuff to customers and they couldnt give a monkeys .no more royal mail they can stuff it ,almost 8mpossible to speak to someone ,i thought evri was nad but tgese are now world leaders in s**t postal services ,lies and b******t .”
“Had a parcel delivered yesterday evening at 7:02pm which was recorded on the doorbell camera.
I was in at the time but the man didn’t bother to knock on or press the doorbell. I also have a sign on my unlocked covered porch saying ‘please leave parcels inside porch’.
He also chose to ignore this and just dumped the parcel on the ground outside. It was out in the rain overnight; I didn’t find it until this morning.
Where the hell do they find these morons?”
“Outrageous price increases from 1 October 2023, 30% on the 250g tier from £1.85 to £2.40. It is clear that it is trying to alienate Ebay business as it is too much of a problem for them delivering bits and bobs. The Royal Mail will defend its actions by saying that many tiers haven't gone up at all such as the £3.49 rate. Ebayers don't want to pay the postage at the best of times so it looks like the charity shop from now on to avoid the hassle.”
“I recently used Royal Mail's oversea tracked and signed for service to Israel to send a valuable collector banknote to a friend in Israel. The web site informed me I was insured up to £50 in value and the counter staff where I mailed the letter confirmed this.
After a few weeks my Israeli friend informed me no letter had arrived. Check tracking and it had disappeared at Heathrow - probably stolen.
A claim form was duly filled inand send off claiming £50 compensation (the banknote was probably worth double that but I self insured the excess). a wekk or so later I get a derisory cheque forjust over £7 which was roughly equivalent to the postage paid.
Does Royal Mail seriously think I would use one of their premium services to send a valueless item??
It was lost in their care and they seem to do their usual trick of evading responsibility when something goes missing in their care.
I have written to them asking how they assessed the compensation they paid. It looks like a Small Claims Court case which has become very expensive and time consuming in order to get Royal Mail to pay a lvel of compensation that was covered in the fee paid to them - unless , of course, the actually pay the claim I submitted!!
A very poor and time consuming experience trying to get compensation for an item Royal Mail admit they are at fault in losing.”
“Not seen a postal worker in my street all week as have none of my neighbours, not received any mail for over a weekend as well as my neighbours, I am waiting for several parcels and important correspondence from the hospital. Absolutely shocking service”
