Worst shipping company. On so many occasions we leave a note at the door to say they should drop with our neighbor cause the office doesn’t open until 10 on fridays but they never comply. They always take my parcels back. This is like the 100th they are doing this. Worst ever ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

I had individual presents commissioned, they were sent signed for. Never left the depot and they never attempted delivery, nobody is concerned about finding them and even with the sender name on the back they have never been returned. Just told they have lost them and to put in a claim which does not even begin to cover the loss as they are irreplaceable.

Royal Mail 24 hour tracked service? Well, it's not 24 hour guaranteed - it could take any length of time - and it's not tracked properly either. It's scanned into and out of delivery offices but that's all, so if your item goes to the wrong office like mine has, and doesn't get scanned into the right one, then they don't actually have a clue where it is! Someone's pocket maybe? Three different stories from three different members of staff. A 'sorry' isn't quite good enough when my item has been in transit for nearly 72 hours to make its way 15 minutes down the road, and I'm £122 out of pocket. Diabolical, appalling service. DO NOT USE.

How this ‘service’ has deteriorated over the years. Rude, grumpy and uncooperative postmen. Who clearly resent doing their jobs. Unhelpful, aggressive manager of the delivery office. If you are disabled, do not expect them to treat you any better. We have sent nice letters to local delivery office. Requesting they leave our post with a neighbour; two doors down, if we are out. This saves the rigmarole and stress of rescheduling delivery again. They were completely uncooperative. Stating they hadn’t the time to do such a thing.Oh dear. What happened to the old way? Where the postman rang at two or more neighbours’ doors to try and leave your mail there? It’s not as if the customer has started paying much less to use Royal Mail. In fact, just the opposite. Which is strange, in an era where you would think they’d be falling over themselves to boost customer satisfaction and numbers. When there’s so much competition. If you are disabled, there will not be much scope made for you. Just more grumpiness, I’m afraid. They treat you as if they are doing you a service. When , in fact, you are paying prices, Which are that of a premium service. We decided to lodge a complaint with the Royal Mail official complaints department. Who you would imagine would have the good sense to place calm, understanding staff at the other end of the telephone. But no. Alas, you get a deeply unpleasant person, who further upsets you. A very poor service. Why oh why can’t we have an alternative? Surely the Royal family need to step in and seriously consider removing the Royal from the Mail? A thoroughly Disgusting and Stressful service to have to use. Reflective however, of the increasingly uncaring society we are becoming.

What is it about ‘guaranteed 24hr delivery’ that Royal Mail don’t get or don’t seem to care about? Come on RM, read these reviews and get your act together! I would advise using a different delivery service with a decent set of reviews if next day delivery is important to you. Royal Mail make the promises, take the money, and fail in the task.

Last Saturday the parcel deliver man didn't knock, just posted the missed delivery card. I know I saw him just couldn't get to the door in time, I complained. The Customer Service person sent the parcel to my local post office as the parcel office is miles away. The post office charged me to collect he parcel. This week I was told by email a parcel would arrive on Thursday, by Friday midday I rang and was told it would definitely be delivered by 6pm Friday. Guess what? When I rang customer services the upshot is: us you have to pay even if it's our fault and we take no responsibility for any inconvenience caused to our customers by our mistakes. Amazon et al all much better. Truly horrendous experience.

Packages frequently don't arrive despite being tracked upon sending. Lost? Stolen? Who knows? Royal Mail certainly doesn't care as one look at their complaints procedure will show you. They are a truly terrible, unreliable and criminal enterprise.

Paid for Signed For letter that was posted at 7.29am on Wednesday, 9th November to be sent to London. Track & Trace webpage indicated 'We've got it' every day thereafter, even on the Monday, 13th Nov. Recipient texted to say they had the post but seemed to suggest it wasn't signed for. Shocking.

Royal Mail must be staffed by the inmates of Wormwood Scrubs. 1 in 5 of the things I send via them get stolen and yes I can say with confidence that they are stolen and not lost due to damaged packing as I have begun securing the contents to the inside of the envelopes and I secure/re-enforce all sides of the envelopes with tape !!!! Not included within the 1 in 5 is how often letters or large letters don't even arrive.

I posted a package, as a surprise for my sister, over 2 weeks ago, by first class mail. She didn't receive it. Finally, she was able to persuade people at her local post office to look for it, and guess what? It was there. The postman hadn't bothered to put a card through her door to let her know about it! Complete incompetence, lazy attitude, and rubbish service. 2 weeks of worry for me, and such a disappointment for her. This is an update to my previous post about the same package.

The last four items that were sent to me by second class post took more than a week to arrive - one item took nine days. On one occasion I ordered something from China and something from London on the same day - the item from China arrived first. Awful, awful, awful. Don't use the royal mail.

I shipped a camera lens special next day guaranteed with up to £500 cover insurance as the lens is worth up to £300. The lens arrived next day but it had been crushed flat! this lens was a big solid metal lens and even if dropped it would maybe crack the glass or smash some buts but this lens was crushed completely flat and shattered into pieces! i thought it would be no bother, contact royal mail, they will understand and refund me the worth of the lens (at least what i sold it for). it took them up to a month to reply, they asked for evidence so i complied and had the customer send the evidence off to them. while in the post office he told me that they would not accept the lens for delivery as they did not have a post code to ship it to (it had the address supplied to us by the complaints team). he then had to go to another post office to finally have it accepted for their free post address. another few weeks went by and i received a parcel. It was the lens that was shipped to them as evidence with a letter attached. the letter explained that they will not be giving a refund for the service and they will also not be paying any compensation for any damage of goods. There excuse was that the lens was not protected well enough. I did not realize, when shipping parcels that they had to be able to withstand the weight of a truck! next time i will be sure to pay an extra £200 to have a case welded out of steel to make sure the parcel gets to the customer undamaged and i will not be paying for insurance which is a total scam! especially when they don't pay for the exact reason your insuring the package! totally dissatisfied and will never be using royal mail again! i advise everyone to do the same and to also not insure your packages as they do not pay out, its just another way for them to get extra money.
