My neighbour murdered my cats and those other people in the street. The RSPCA were called and promised to assign an inspector as well as a vet to do the toxicology reports. 3 months later not a single supportive contact, not a single visit. Nothing, no action at all. Oh, I know they are always bleating about money, and I was a regular donor but they are the statutory agency leading on animal welfare with support from the Police so they have duty to respond, it is not my fault that in the last 198 years they have not learned to manage their funds. They should have the Royal warrant removed, and because the RSPCA won't do anything the Nottinghamshire Police say they are powerless to help as well. Thanks, my family are dead and no-one cares!

I rang the RSPCA and spoke with a male call handler. I told him that pigeons were trapped inside the attic of an empty property, I shared that I had seen them going in and out of the holes in the roof where there are slates missing. A neighbour saw the birds go inside the roof holes and then saw roofers put slates over the holes, trapping the birds inside. The roofers did not enter the property and the birds had no means of escape. The Call handler told me because the information I was giving him had come from a neighbour and was "third party" he was "not going to action the call". He wanted to have an intellectual debate about the neighbour asking me why she hasn't she phoned the RSPCA ... I said I don't know why, and even though HE had asked me the question he cut me off. It was awful, he was argumentative, highly intense, it was incredibly stressful - I was trying to save the lives of these birds, a living breathing creature. He then said he is going to end the call and put the phone down. I had a look on the RSPCA website after this awful call to see if they state that they ONLY take calls from people who directly witness cruelty/suffering but couldn't find anything. Very sadly, these poor birds will die a painful suffering death. I found the whole conversation to be absolutely atrocious and he made me feel like I was doing something wrong by phoning.

I called the RSPCA on Friday to let them know 2 kittens were trapped in a car bonnet. They could not attend due to staff shortages - fine. We rescued the kittens late in the evening and brought them into the warm (fell in love with them). The RSPCA turned up Monday morning and took the kittens away. Then charged us £100 each for them back even though they were booked in at the local vet for Monday afternoon.

I recently adopted a dog from the RSPCA, I am disappointed as I was given little details and insight into the dogs previous behaviour and characteristics. After having him for 2 weeks I now know I cannot provide the appropriate living conditions that this dog needs, more knowledge beforehand would have been gratefully appreciative.

Sadly rang them twice today reporting that a pigeon was outside of my shop looking unwell and wasn’t able to fly or react and they said they’d would come to get the pigeon and simply never turned up. It has to do with humanity and I get that but If you simply don’t care at least let people know you can’t be bothered to do your job.

Don't even deserve 1 star. My neighbours have badly neglected their American Bulldog since they got him as a puppy 5 months ago. They never walk him, never play with him, never show him love or affection, never praise him. They isolate him in one half of the flat 24 hours a day while they separate themselves away from him in the other half. The dog is stuck inside 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, he often is on his own for 24 hours a day & he doesn't even get to go in the garden. Whenever he cries or barks, desperate for some attention & company, they shout at him to shut up. He's underweight, his nails are way over grown, they have started barricading him in a small 8 foot by 7 foot space in the living room, not even allowing him the full space of the kitchen & living room to roam about him anymore. He is living an extremely miserable life alone, bored, sad & depressed. I phoned the RSPCA, the call handler was VERY rude & totally disinterested, she kept cutting me off from speaking & wouldn't allow me to explain everything he has been through & is going through. She was only interested in his physical condition & because he isn't yet emaciated with bones sticking out & his nails are not yet so long that they are curling under then they refuse to do anything to help this poor dog saying it's not an emergency. Like others have said, they are only interested in high profile cases where they can get publicity for it to make them look like they are caring & try & use those rare cases they do help in order to get more donations. The reality is they could not care less about animal welfare, an animal has to have suffered immense neglect & be dying before they will help it. It's been the same for many years, when I've rang them before several times over the last decade, it's always the same, they don't care about animal welfare at all. It's a business masquerading as a charity. The RSPCA are an absolute disgrace & enable animal cruelty TO CONTINUE.

Do your self a Favre Dos’t wast your cash on charity for RSPCA, save it and invest in devices that can be used to help pets your self if your a pet lover. I found a baby bird injured and I called for help, I was told to leave it on a high spot on a bin for them to collect, this was when I was on my way to work, when I came back home for lunch, it was still there and by night it died. The British value, stun the animal and make it suffer before slaughtering, and charity = give cash or we put it to sleep i.e no time for treating animals and pets for free.

Absolutely no concerns at all for a very sick injured cat. Left it for over 5 days suffering. There is no love for animals in my mind . No money off me any more. Absolutely disgusting.

They couldn't give a damn about animal welfare. It's all about the money. Useless and not fit for purpose organisation

TERRIBLE USELESS CORRUPT SERVICE i reported a case of neglect regarding 10-15 dogs that were being kept in a small compound, with many escaping and a lot of them being dirty and having matted fur. Another was being tied up by its front paw with a thin piece of string and it seemed injured. Rang the police who told me to call the RSPCAA emergency line - over an hour I had to wait! All for her to say there were no immediate concerns and they would look into it. The respondent was so rude and patronising and didn’t seem to be bothered about the welfare of these (potentially stolen) neglected dogs. I will NEVER ring this organisation again for help.

I worked at the RSPCA and they would euthanise at least 40cats a day and at least 15 dogs a day. If they were healthy, they would put on the system it was because they were sick. When euthanise they would throw the animals across the room, showing no respect or remorse. It got too much for me that I ended up having a massive breakdown, they didn’t care. I can assure you if you think you are helping the animals by donating - THINK AGAIN. A lot of the funds go towards euthanasia liquid
