"After a hike in premium from around \u00a3450 to \u00a3975 I found a quote from aviva for just over \u00a3500. I phoned Saga and was told by auto message to manage my policy online. I went online and cancelled the auto renew three weeks before renewal. Just recieved policy through post and noticed my bank account a grand lighter. Luckily I get my docs in the post or I probably wouldn't have noticed tilI i checked my statement. Rung them up and was told the online portal to cancel AR doesn't work. I took a screen shot just in case. How many more people who cancelled online are still paying premiums. I need that money to pay an upcoming holiday. I may have needed it to put food on the table. I was told they will let me have my money, the money they took without authority from my bank in maybe 10 days. If you have cancelled online and get online documents just check you aren't still paying. \r\nThe girl I spoke to was lovely though and sorted it for me."

"My second year with Saga car insurance, would definitely recommend Saga. Spoke to Poppy and told her my circumstances that i had become a widow, and she helped me with the cheapest price, very happy . "saga home insurance - totally abysmal. Still awaiting service 7 weeks after our claim.\r\nAt least 30 min wait on the phone to be told they will ring us back within 48 hours .... they never do !"

"Saga the clues in the name tears, long stories and absolute frustration, staff toeing the company line with no empathy at all for your unforeseen circumstances, through no fault of your own. If you get hit by a Saga driver I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT accept their call to take on your claim, it might possibly save your no claims bonus but at what cost. They offered to take away the damaged car and have it fully repaired and provide a loan car. They don't mention if they deem the repair un-viable they will write it off ! They take days and weeks to respond and I personally felt they manipulated us into submission! Final straw they give you a loan car then say you can keep it max 5 days after agreeing a settlement that takes 7-10 days to pay into your bank account, so your car less ! and all because they've used a third party company to value your cars repairs at top dollar prices! Does the picture look like \u00a34000 worth of damage !??"
