“Just changed to Saga - I use Mailtrack so I can see when my emails are opened.
Saga have taken at least 4 days to even open, and of course I then have to hope they respond quickly. Not acceptable to me.”
“Just changed to Saga. Sent proof of no claims but they are not happy with the Wording from previous company and insist that it is resent. Talk about jobs worth. Taken two weeks as they are very slow to respond. Customer service dreadful.”
“I had a accident and made a phone call to report the accident. I had a quick phone call the same day from saga asking a few questions, and that was it .My car went in for repair and garage phoned me about outcome, I waited for a while and had no response so I phoned and was asked questions that reply to me. The only time they have been quick in getting in touch is when they want money.”
“I believe that all knowledgeable people understand that with insurance companies all you can do is have faith and hope that they are true to there word . Talk and claims are cheap to make but the truth is that you never know if your provider is good or bad until you try to claim money from them . I believe that many are coerced on line to make favourable or helpful remarks about different companies or items, to lead others to buy or invest their money to the advantage of certain companies and institutions . I feel that I could only make a fair and accurate statement about an insurance company if I had actually made a claim from them .”
“Saga car insurance increases every year even though I've never claimed.
Gone up from £230 to £260 this year. Went on a comparison site and got a Saga quote for
£204. When they realised, the quote went "VOID", but got lots of cheaper quotes from reputable companies.”
“Used this company for car insurance in the past. Excellent cover for great price. Love the fact that on renewal offer they inform you if you have been with them for a number of years you might get a better price shopping around!”
“Had car insurance with Saga, fully comprehensive with protected no claims (had max no claims). Also had a motorcycle policy arranged through Carole Nash. Was rear-ended on my motorcycle at a give way sign whilst stationary. The third party admitted liability and claim dealt with very efficiently by Carole Nash. Advised Saga of claim on my motorcycle policy at next renewal and they sought to increase the premium on my car policy as a result for each of the next five years! Carole Nash advised "as the third party has admitted liability your premium [for the car policy] should not be effected or indeed increase". Saga would not relent therefore moved my car insurance to Carole Nash. Would not use Saga again.”
“I changed Car Insurance but have found it very difficult to receive confirmation of my 9+ years no claims discount for my new company, Churchill. Have contacted Saga on more than one occasion by email.”
“I ended up paying for my own repair because the repairer they referred me to didn’t work with them any more and then they said it would take weeks to assess the claim as the one I as eventually referred on to was very busy and they couldn’t guarantee a courtesy car in the meantime, even though the policy provided for this.
I would not use them again.”
