“Very poor probate service following a recent bereavement. Saga were given all the requested documentation and after several months of silence, I called the for an update only to be told that they were unable to verify my HSBC probate account because it was too new. At this stage 5 other financial institutions had already paid into the account. SAGA requested a statement from the account to support it's verification so I sent a statement. Two weeks later I called again and they still hadn't been able to verify the account, so I asked for a cheque. A further week after this I still haven't received the cheque.
My first issue is that they didn't contact me when they found a problem. My second issue is there inexplicable inability to verify an account. My third issue is that I have seen no evidence of payment for at least 3 weeks after they said it was the next step.”

“Have been trying to make contact with a human at saga for a week after receiving my renewal cat insurance quote 149% increase on 3 year fixed.
They are a disgrace and should not be allowed to conduct a business when they make it so difficult to contact them especially when you are 80years old can't hang onto a phone for long and not very good with computers”
“Impossible to contact except by phone with at least 15’ wait time. ‘Chat’ option didn’t work, nor did ‘leave a review’ - I had to access this via a review website instead. No policy confirmation sent by email as promised after 5 days, so……. another 15+’ on the phone. Am I insured, or not? Will they answer the phone, or not? Life is too short for this kind of time waste.”
