“I always use Sainsbury's on line shopping option, as a general rule they are fab. The substitutes can be baffling at times, but that's on line shopping. The delivery drivers are all really helpful though”
“Sainsbury's is a shadow of its former self. The company now pays little attention to the opinion of its customers or staff. Products are removed from ranges without any information being given to staff as to the reasons for the decision. Staff have told me that there is no longer the facility for them to comment online about product ranges. Staff have no control and are therefore uninterested. You get replies like these I heard I heard from the bakery in my local store when I queried the removal of the 75p wholemeal country loaf"I don't know why it has gone." "We have no say in what happens." Similarly customers can no longer record comments in store - they must phone a central customer care centre and then receive some bland reassurance that they will get a comment.
Wake up Sainsbury's! Waitrose has done well in recent years in part at least because their staff know about the products their department sells. They are interested and are proud of their store's reputation.”
“When a local "cheaper" store closed for renovations prices magically went up, not by much, perhaps 3p to 5p but the management/staff knew there wasnt another store nearby they had a captive audience and thought it was acceptable to raise prices. Now that the "cheaper" store has re-opened, prices have reverted back to normal prices.”
“Had a delivery today numerous items missing from the Ipswich depot including tomato ketchup a cup no newspapers avocado rotten driver response not my fault not my problem phoned to complain was promised a phone call from a manager didn't call me back had a similar problem a few weeks ago including potatoes delivered that were green and rotten”
“Sainsburys helped me to delivery food long distance to my mother who was housebound, while I was out of the country. The website is easy to use and provides a great selection of food as well as keeping its customers up-to-date on all the special offers. The customer service is excellent and I could depend on Sainsburys online shopping each and every week to deliver the necessary food to my mother on time. I felt as if I was in the store itself when shopping online at Sainsburys!”
“Will continue to write on every review site, regards this mob.
Went into the Hamilton store ( Lanarkshire) 9 Aug, after the football, for a few beers.
Anyway the young assistant, refused to serve me, as she pointed out i was wearing a football top and asked me if i had a drink !!!
I said i had 1 pint before the game ( and at no point, instore did it say no football tops), and at this point she still refused to serve me.
Anyway the following day, after a number of phone calls ( customer services, store etc), i strongly advised Sinsburys to check their CCTV, and after a few days, they phone me and apologised at the way i was treated as it was proven i was sober.
All i got of Sainsburys, was my experience would help future customer relations, and basicaly tough regards any good will gestures.
I asked them for the price of the several phone calls i made, so i get a £5 gift card......which they can shove.........It would mean stepping into hell ( sorry their stores),
I wonder what training their staff get ?, i wonder what the liscening trade would say in Lanarkshire ?
They dont care about their customers as i found, and if you have and negative experiences their attitude is patronising. so my advice is STAY CLEAR !!!”
“I've had to make a complaint to sainsburys 3 times in the last month, the first time I ordered some chicken thighs and kegs but got only legs the 2nd there delivery felt the need to demand to see my Identification even though I've been ordrink with them for month's and the 3rd time I ordered some mayonnaise and it was like water but on this occasion they couldn't even be bothered to respond to me! That's how good there customer service is, I don't know how that company has survived so long”
