The snacks and other items are not super common things you can easily find. They source the food from really cool japanese small candy stores instead of big famous candy manufacturers. The booklet it comes with is super cool and informative. Not only does it describe the food beautifully, but it also gives descriptions of the makers which makes the food feel extra special, almost like it was hand made just for you. I also like that it gives you suggestions on how to pair certain snacks together. One of the best things in the booklet is the allergen information which I don't see often in snack boxes. Overall, I'd say this is a very unique beautiful subscription box.”
“The box is great. I'm impressed with how much it comes with - I definitely feel the value is worth what you pay. The box mostly consists of snacks and treats. My first box had enough tea for two small 4 oz. cups or one 8 oz. mug. The snacks have interesting, different, unique tastes and textures. I savored each treat, enjoying one or 2 at a time, stretching the experience over weeks. Each day, I looked forward to the next treat. It ships to Canada via DHL and arrives in just a few days. Great customer service. I initially signed up for 1 month at a time, then signed up for 3 months after I received my first box. I was then charged for 1 month after being charged for the 3 months - I thought the 3 month subscription would replace the monthly subscription, but each is a separate subscription. They are refunding me for the 1 month charge. They will refund you if the box has not shipped.”

“I studied in Osaka Japan for a semester my junior year of high school and I’ve tried many delicious treats that are hard to get in the US. I got this box not thinking much of it, just thought this would be a cute box to share with my husband who loves Japanese culture. I’ll start by saying; this box is beautiful!!! The gold, the cherry blossoms, all of it!! I love the art on the “Greetings from Blossoming Tokyo” card, might just keep it forever. The booklet is amazing too, I’ve been a customer of Tokyo Treat for a while now and I always through the booklet aside. But the Sakuraco booklet is so incredible, I took the time to read up on all the snacks and the country’s history with every snack. I remember Confectionery Tsuruya from my time spent in Japan and the matcha pudding took me way back. The snacks are delicious, but I would honestly LOVE to see a booklet as detailed as this one in Tokyo Treat boxes talking about modern Japanese cultures because I believe the Sakuraco booklet tells an amazing job explaining the snacks and traditional Japanese culture. 10/10 my husband and I will be ordering from Sakuraco again!! And hopefully I can afford to take him to Japan some day so he can experience everything I did years ago.”
“We tried the japanese snack box service before and it was Tokyo treat, but that's nothing compared too this box. If you want cheap junk food that you can find in the supermarkets then go for Tokyo treat box. If you want authentic traditional treats that you can only find there in specific places go for Sakuraco.
