I have been waiting for an email for the bulldog security. I have also phoned to chase this up but I am still waiting.

1. I am unused to the new Microsoft 8 operating system and there was little explanation of this. 2. When starting the new laptop I was bombarded by different suppliers for passwords and e-mail addresses. As I already have several I was pretty soon in a mess with messages that my password was not recognised. I'm still not sure that the copy of Microsoft 365 I purchased from you will work. 3. Worst of all, in buying this Acer laptop from you I was automatically offered a Norton anti-virus package for £19.99 and bought it thinking I had no other anti-virus cover. Yet the laptop came with McAfee protection, and when I tried to load the Norton programme I was told that some aspects were compromised. In good conscience you owe me £19.99 and you need to ensure you know what is pre-loaded on the machines you sell. As Which magazine currently list this machine as one of their Best Buys I shall be contacting them to outline this lamentable confusion on your part. I hope you will contact me, explain why you made me purchase something I don't require, and refund the money. Thank you, Professor Lawrence Goldman

Please could you explain how I can download windows 8.1. It is not clear how I'm supposed to do this despite the packaging telling me that I should have a licence to download it.

Hi to all at Save On Laptops, Sorry but i am disappointed that my order has not yet arrived. I had paid a little extra on the shipping but it appears that my delivery will not be with me until Wednesday. The last two orders I had placed with you arrived much quicker

Laptop arrived in very good time and I'm very pleased with it so far, alas it only has 8GB of ram when I ordered 16. My 'normal' rating could well become a 'very good' depending on how this is resolved. I'm expecting an IT Tech to come to my address and sort it or at the very least for a courier to be arranged at no expense to me.

My order go to me very quickly, everything was good but i had problem with receive my coupon with free game from nvidia witch was included to my laptop becouse i forgot to write ,, game1,, in my order to get this. When my order come to me without that coupon i writed to saveonlaptops and they seid me sorry we cant help you :/ but when i write second time and i seid i will return my product becouse i feeling cheated they founded solution and send my my voucher . Propably they want use my mistake to keeping my free game to sell or use.

Product arrived quick ( next day ) , still sealed but the box was tatty with an old label on it and some holes , had the feeling it had been delivered to someone else before me.

All good. I found the online checkout a bit Ryanair in that there were surcharges for PayPal and credit cards (never seen that before) then I was faced with several upselling screens offering software, antivirus and extended warranties. Surely in this day and age these should be pre-checkout. I was temped with the MS Office but on the basis that it was presented as a blockage to me completing I decided not to buy. I picked up from Minworth which I think is a great option for a laptop and really enjoyed visiting the store - lots of interesting stuff on display; I would have spent a few minutes browsing and would have purchased some more kit but the guy who served me just checked my ID, gave me the box and I had a feeling I should go. This is my second laptop from SoL and I will probably use them again - I've flown with Ryanair amore than once.

I'm generally happy with my ultrabook (Acer TravelMate B113). The only downside I've noticed so far is the touchpad/mouse - it moves with difficulty. I wasn't sure if I should return the laptop - looks like it's a common downside for all these laptops. Otherwise, very good value for the money.

The delivery proccess was really fast, and the product is excelent. However, my item was delivered on another address, which made me very concerned. I had to call the company which transported the parcel because I saw that they delivered the product, but not at my address. So they told me that the driver really made a mistake and left my item at the reception of a student accommodation. It was close to my place, so I went there to pick it up. That's why I'm giving 3 stars. This mistake could have costed me my product.

Account management refused to update invoice address and no response from email. Also a surcharge on credit cards is levied and only made clear at the final payment stage. On the positive price is good and delivered by DPD, which in my opinion are the best delivery company.

Use last time for my Toshiba, found them superb. Used them for a niece's laptop as a recommendation but the order took far too long, was a bit disappointed.

The laptop is fine. The delivery arrangements were inflexible and unhelpful, although eventually fixed. We'll see how the cashback works out.

You should make more emphasis on the fact that the laptops are Windows 8 and not windows 8.1. It took me 4 hours to upgrade!

I am very pleased with the laptop and it matches my expectations in every respect. I can only fault you on two aspects of your service. When I paid for the goods, I did not receive any confirmation by email that the money had been safely received and credited. Thereafter I had to chase you twice to get confirmation of the delivery date and time. I am afraid that is poor customer service. If you could address those issues then the rating would be 5 Star and not 3 Star.

Didn't receive a release code so couldn't retrieve my parcel from Collect+ depot. Initial response to saveonlaptops web query not very helpful but follow-up to 2nd email much more useful and sorted an issue in minutes that Collect+ suggested would require the return and re-send of the parcel. Shouldn't have had to send more than one email though (or any, for that matter, but I've no idea whether the initial fault was with Collect+/Yodel or saveonlaptops/Box). Case for laptop offered during the check-out process was too small but by then I'd lost the will to live and didn't have the time or will to return it.
