ScottishPower is the scum on this 🌎 it’s now 5wks I have been trying to get my meter sorted out, all I get is chat on line😡 the prat’s who I chat with are based in India and doesn’t have a clue how to interact with people and read from a text book, they are full of s..t all they do is tell you lies after lies, I have tried several times to speak to a real person and all I get press this number that number and after 3hrs no joy😡😡😡 wished I never signed up with this useless company😡 I don’t want compensation? Just for my meter to be sorted out and for it to work correctly, they are happy to take my money and do sod all to help their customers😡 shame on you ScottishPower😡 it’s the elderly I really feel sorry for🙏🏾🙏🏾 The way you are treating them. I have sent them several photos proving my problem and 5wks later nothing.

I phoned Scottish Power about the £66 government energy fund, as I hadn't received any money. Finally, at the end of November, I was given an RTI code. The RTI code didn't work. In the end, after numerous emails, phone calls (most of which weren't answered), they sent out a new prepayment key with £66 on it. I haven't received November or December's payments yet. I am trying to top up three times this week, in case it actually works. Ofgem can give an 0800 number for Scottish Power if you phone them. At least it's free from a landline. If you put in an official complaint to Scottish Power, then after 8 weeks you can complain to Ofgem. Perhaps if numerous people do this they might finally start paying attention. I would also suggest contacting The Sun newspaper, as they have already published an article about Scottish Power not paying the money to customers. Also, contact your local MSPs. Their emails will be on the .gov website. The only way Scottish Power will start treating customers fairly if when they are forced to.

Took on a new property, there is a debt of £300 on the meter, have called them 4 times, took an average of 3 hours each time to speak to a person and its still not sorted. I put £20.00 on the meter and got to keep £6.00. The number they gave me (on 2 separate occasions) to re-set the card was a digit short. Try to call them again yesterday and I gave up after 3.5 hours. As such I am unable to move in. Date of experience: 05 December 2022

Just the worst experience, extending for a whole year. Can't go into detail here because the issue is complex involving bereavement, a property with energy bills I have inherited and a spectacular lack of communication between SP departments. It's just impossible to get any sense out of anyone to resolve an ongoing problem. Everyone on the end of the phone is polite and helps the best they can but they are held to a script and set of procedures and are unable to help in any real terms. Oh, here's another trick. One department promises to put you through to another and then the phone goes dead! Really nice.

I had a voucher emailed to me in november for the £66 credit from goverment for october. I still havent had the £66 for November. I was told by the company that i have to top up my electric key 3x and then it would appear, so i topped up 3x and nothing. Trying to get hold of them and they put you thru to a robot. The company is a complete shambles and something needs to be done about it.

ScottishPower, it is RUBBISH POWER. Rubbish company and ill-mannered customer services. Thieves in all the word senses. I filed a complain against them with the ombudsman-services. The problem since 05/09/2022 and every customer service I get in touch is more rubbish than the other and they contradict each other: one said no direct debt set and the second said it is set. We should all file complains against them with ombudsman-services, so that they behave and respect. DO NOT ACCEPT THEM BEING RUBBISH, DUMP THEM IN THE BIN WHERE THEY BELONG

The worst company ever.. 1. Waiting time on chat couple of hours, when they respond and you not gonna see message they disconnecting. 2. When you agree something with them, out of nowhere someone is changing your agreed things 3. Direct Debit - have to fight with SP to lower your DD, they are charging at least double time. When you lower, after one month they are increasing DD.

Horrible customer service especially from customer service agent Martynas. I will be changing energy providers as I am constantly having issues with my meter and cannot get a hold of Scottish power.

Terrible. Just moved into a rental flat supplied by Scottish Power. Their own system won't recognise the account number they sent me, nor the post code, yet the MPAS Operations query I raised confirmed they are the supplier. Useless chatbot, eventuall managed to get hold on someone via Twitter so they may now have my opening meter reading on their system. I'll be moving away from them ASAP.

I can not even being to describe the distress this company has caused me as a landlord over the last month. I am the owner and landlord of a property. My property was vacated by the previous tenant on 10th January 2020. I had account number under my name whilst the property was vacant 10th Jan 2020 - 22nd June 2020 until my account was closed on 25th June 2020 and the final bill was paid by myself along with the updated gas and electric readings supplied and then the account closed with details supplied on the new tenant who went into the property on 22nd June 2020 and was then responsible for the payments and who has kindly provided me with proof of her account number. However there seems to have been two mistaken default accounts opened in my name during the period of June 2020 - September 2020 where I was not liable for the bills. I would like to state that at no point did I receive a letter, email, call to my home address or the landlord's address to state that these accounts were set up in my name again an error on your part. They only came to my attention when I checked my credit score which has been damaged significantly dropping from 999 to 483 due to your errors and having spoken to My Credit File they notified me that there is a Court Judgement of £393 in relation to Scottish Power Electric account and Adverse scottish power account reported against my name for Dual fuel account both which are in error all while my tenant has an account and is paying the bills for the property. I can not express the effect that this has had on my mental health and well being. I have had to take time off work for the stress caused and to try and sort this out and it has taken hours and a lot of backwards and forwards emails and calls and I have also seeked advice from Citizens Advice and have consulted a solicitor about damages. During this whole process I did not even know about the account being set up in my name and have not received a call, letter, email or anything to inform me of this, I don't even know how this is legal!! I have sent over 8 emails, tried calling on 10 different occasion amounting to over 10 hours and have opened two complaint references and scheduled in 3 separate calls with the complaints department who I was told would help me but who have never even been in touch even after I have waited 6 hours in total for them to call. It has effected my mental health so badly that I am having to take time off work and I cannot even explain the bad customer service that I have experienced during my time trying to sort an error which was the fault of Scottish Power. I am still trying to get these errors fixed and have been doing so for a month now without any succes and I will be seeking legal advice for the damages caused!
