Absolutely disgusting customer service, I've been waiting 10 weeks 3 times they have arranged a delivery date and 3 times they have cancelled I've wasted annual leave from work , I've asked for a refund but I've been told it has to go through a manager in head office 3 hour wait to get through to customer service but when you go on the website to browse there sales team bombard you with calls . I would never ever use this company again it's appalling. The worst company I have ever dealt with .

Don't use SCS, go to a different company. If I knew what I know now I would never have used them. Ordered our sofa in December and was told it would be 5/6 weeks. Now 3 months later we are still waiting. Only update we have is that will will now be May before it is delivered. 5 months is just not acceptable. No reply to our message to their complaints department sent weeks ago now and you are on hold for hours trying to get through to their customer service deparment. Use DFS, much better customer service. I will not be using SCS again or recommending them to anyone else.

Despite repeated requests for updates on delivery time, nothing has been forthcoming. My messages and calls are not returned. The sofa has been stuck in a warehouse in Basildon since 13/1/25, when it should have been in my house by now. Appalling service and we are regretting using scs. Avoid.

Impossible to speak to anyone at customer service. My delivery was promised for Friday 14th - as i was away on holiday until the 12th. so I called to get the message that wait time was 181mins (3 hours!) Tried Live Chat but it isn’t working as they want an order number and all i got was a receipt as i paid in full including the warranty extension. Pressed 1 for a call back twice and no call twice. Emailed twice and asked for a call or email but nothing. So now i have no option but to drive back to the store to find out WTF is going on!!!! How can this be labelled as customer service, will request a refund now and go to a reputable company who can give customer service as it should be!

PRICE PROMISE - AN ABSOLUTE CON. I bought & paid for a sofa in November 24, delivery was to be in January 25 whch was fine. I was advised by the salesman that should the price go down I would be refunded the difference. During the Xmas sales the price dropped by £130. I called twice & was told yes I was due the difference & it would be passed to the relevant department. 3 emails later I got a response that I had upgraded the filling & that when the sofas are on sale a cheaper filling is advertised therefore I wasnt due a refund. I DID NOT upgrade the filling I bought as seen No mention was made of any different fillings. Will never buy from this Company again & I will advise anyone I know to avoid them

If I could give a minis I would I would never in a million years recommend this Company. The quality of the sofa we have received, new range, 3k is absolutely shocking. Store won’t help. Been emailing the department for a month now and being completely ignored. I’ll be seeking legal action next week

I wish I could give 0 stars. Store member lied to my face stating that "we never do black friday sales" and pushed me into purchasing my item then, rather than waiting. What do you know, It's down by a large amount in the BF sales. I went into the store, they told me to call support. The wait time to speak to someone was over 2 hours. I got a call back, they told me I was entitled to money back and would get back to me.. a month later, still no response. I have since called TWICE and emailed three times. Being TOTALLY ignored. It is now 4 months since I placed my order and no correspondence. Absolute trash company. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Did not deliver our sofa only our chair. Dont know how long will have to wait and have already taken old sofa to tip. Rude delivery man did not try to get into living room. Left after a few mins said had another delivery. Have waited months for this.

Not delivered before Christmas even though they promised pre Christmas delivery. SCS don’t answer phones or emails. 2 decliners don’t work. Will now contact the Ombudsman involved. Absolute shambles. Wish we’d never purchased sofas from them. Extremely frustrating and upsetting. £3000 of furniture and not happy.

Truly atrocious company, never buy from them ever. They have messed me around for months now, with no resolve whatsoever, and I hopefully won't lose all the money I spent on the sofa I wanted.

Title: Disappointing Experience with Sofa Purchase I regret to share my negative experience with this company regarding my recent sofa purchase. After selecting a model that I liked during my visit to the showroom, the product delivered did not meet my expectations in terms of quality and materials. It lacks the density and durability I anticipated, resulting in a product that feels subpar and, unfortunately, reminiscent of lower-quality imports. Additionally, shortly after delivery, one of the sofas was damaged. Since August of last year, I have made multiple attempts to address these issues through emails and submitted photographs, but regrettably, there has been little to no response. An inspection was conducted, but no further action was taken. I was also misled regarding the size, as what was marketed as a three-seater has proven to be more akin to a two-seater, which is not fit for my needs. This has left me feeling quite dissatisfied with my purchase. Given these ongoing challenges, I am considering pursuing this matter through a small claims court and obtaining an independent assessment to support my case. I hope this review serves as a cautionary note for potential customers in the future.

I've emailed SCS 4 times and written on trust pilot once Lynsey from SCS said that she was looking into the issue of the delivery of my sofas for me but ive still not heard anything from SCS as to when my sofa's might be delivered. If I don't get an answer from SCS I intend going back to SCS straiton Edinburgh to get my cash money refunded . I mean cash as that is exactly how I paid for my sofa's. I will shop somewhere else for a sofa . Sale's order number S0113-1000144178

Appalling customer service. Messaged me at 4.20 pm Tuesday 11th Feb saying delivery Friday 14th - when I’m away on holiday. If you want to change it you have to give at least 2 working days notice so I called to get the message that wait time was 3 hours! Tried Live Chat but it isn’t working. Pressed 1 for a call back but no call. Emailed and asked for a call but nothing. Don’t you dare try and charge me for less than 2 days notice!

Wendy Etchells. Sofa & chair delivered 11/12/24. Recliner on the wrong side. Still awaiting this to be resolved. They rang & told me 31/1/25 distribution centre would call. Now told they are not coming!! I don't want to deal with this Co. Have requested collection, but they are not making it easy

Promised delivery before Christmas then told Jan then told couldn’t due to weather then told couldn’t for a third time Due to traffic! 160mins + waiting time on phone to try and speak to customer service and no reply when contact forms sent numerous times. Disastrous!

After years of buying with SCS I can quite safely say I won’t be dealing with them again. In 2022 my mother who unfortunately had been diagnosed with cancer was told she needed a recliner chair to support her needs. We decided to buy a Lazy boy sofa as we were confident of its quality . In Nov 2024 I noticed whilst the chair was reclined a huge tear on the side of the sofa. I investigated further and soon realised that part of the structure on the seat next to it had caused the damage as it had been clearly rubbing on a piece of wood each time it was reclined. There was also significant damage to the other seat. I contacted the warranty company who were prompt coming out, they confirmed a manufacturing fault and offered a solution of 1) recovering just the two seat covers and 2) modifying underneath the sofa to stop the problem happening again…. It shouldn’t be happening in the first place, it’s a manufacturing fault ! I asked the warranty company to put the claim on hold as I wanted to speak to SCS as I had concerns over the solutions and didn’t feel my consumer rights and their guarantee promise were being met. By recovering two seats there will be a difference in colour and condition of the rest of the sofa after two years and why should my sofa be modified underneath to meet standards a high quality brand should meet! So much for the 10 Year Guarantee, where you can sit back and relax, knowing that your ScS sofa and/or chair is covered against manufacturing defect ! Is this also a case of being mis sold ? as SCS clearly don’t care. I have emailed the company twice and sent a recorded letter to raise these concerns to try to come up with a suitable and fair solution that meets my consumer rights and meets there guarantee promise but have been ignored and have had no response what-so ever this started in December! My mother is now not using the recliner as she is worried the tear will get worse. I am now going to be perusing this matter further. Caring for an elderly sick mother I need to be investing the time into her and not chasing up a company who once they have your money don’t care about the quality of their products they are selling or the guarantee promises. My mum needs a sofa that she is confident will meet her needs! Please look at my profile pic and you will see some of the damage!
