I have just contacted my local SCS store to ask why I have not had any calls or attempt of contact reference our sofa delivery to be told that its not even arrived in store, and they don't know where it is! we was given a delivery date of 24th April so we have moved the furniture around to make space and even got rid of our old sofa in preparation for receiving the delivery today. reading through the paperwork received when we purchased the sofa it states that if there is any delay at all then we would be contacted to be made aware of the situation! we have had no attempt of contact at all! your company has messed around since day one of ordering a sofa and new carpets and it is a joke! customer service is ridiculous!

The customer service at ScS is shocking bad. Once they take your money they think they can do what they want and don’t care about any customer service. I have contacted ScS on numerous occasions via the telephone and via email for months but I do not get any response. The only response I get from ScS is by an automated email saying my email will be responded to within 3-5 working days. I did get one response from someone called Marie Robson who I believed not to be an automated message saying they will respond to me but asked me to explain myself again, which I did, but then I assume the message was deleted and lost in the ether. Every time I have tried to contact the store, the telephone either just rings and when I do speak to someone they say will get back to me. We purchased our carpet from SCS from the Slough branch. We originally chose SCS due to recommendations from friends, the carpet selection and the knowledge provided by the sales team was very good but that’s as good as it gets. We selected our carpet in October 2016 with the planned installation for the 30th October 2016. The survey occurred on the 10th October 2016. Following the survey we finalised on a carpet runner in the hallway and stairs and invictus carpets in the room. We paid the full amount of £3049.39 within 3 days of placing the order. On the day before the installation we wanted to confirm what time the installers would be attending as we had previously informed the store that we were not living at the property and needed to called before the installers attend our house and rang the store multiple times to confirm this. Unfortunately we were unable to get hold of the store to confirm if the installation was still taking place. On the morning of 30th October the installers rang stating they were outside the house, so our message had not got through to the installers. We got to property very quickly so there was no waiting around by the installers. During the carpet fitting the we noticed the hallway was made up of two sections of carpet. We queried this with the installers who informed us that they are just the installers and are installing based on they are told to do? This was unusual as we had previously sat down with the sales team to go through the carpet arrangement on the stairs and the hallway. The carpet arrangement suggested by the carpet fitters were not what we had asked for, yet they couldn’t care less. Basically the installers did not install our carpet as we had asked for and wanted and got a bit aggressive saying its not their problem and we had to take this up with ScS. We didn’t want it installed with the join but as they were aggressive and we couldn’t get hold of ScS we were left with having to carry on as we were moving into the house with our children on the same day. I guess that is the problem with ScS they do not have their own installers which is a cost cutting exercise and do not have any say over what the installers do. The problem with the carpet is that the lines on the carpet do not line up and it looks very cheap. For £3000 for an expensive carpet and for it to look rubbish is an insult. If we had known the carpet was to be installed like this we would have stopped the installation before they started. A shoddy company – Do not recommend.

Ordered my bedroom carpet three weeks in advance. No contact until the morning of fitting to tell me that you couldn't do it today. My husband had taken the day off work and the room has been decorated and cleared. 2 hours later and I still await a call back with resolution

SCS-Lakeside Retail Park Ridiculous customer service, employees were sitting around playing on phones when customers were present, and then they talk about customers behind their backs. I overheard two whisper just behind me, and another two constantly sniggering and staring at me. Disgusting.

Absolute bunch of incompetent liars - would never buy from them again ! Paid over £3,000 for two sofas from the SiSi Italia range in October 2016 . We informed sales person at time there could be a problem getting the larger sofa into the house but they assured me the delivery people would sort that no problem. The two sofas where delivered on the date we were given and the smaller sofa fitted no bother and i was delighted with it . However , it all started going downhill from there on !! The second sofa would not fit through the door and had to be taken apart , not such a big deal you may think but it was !! The delivery men could not take the sofa apart as they did not have the correct tools and it was also getting late in the day and they wouldn't have time to do it anyway ! The delivery men were lovely , very apologetic and assured us they would bring the sofa back the following day . The next day they came back and got the sofa in ( at the cost , to me , of £130) . Then the next problem reared its ugly head - there were no feet for the sofa ! After several calls to the warehouse i was told they would try and locate some replacement ones for us . As it was near Christmas and the store and warehouse were closing for the break we were left with a brand new sofa perched on the floor . The delivery men didn't even have a staple gun to replace the cloth cover on the base of the sofa back - i had to loan them mine ! Since then it has been an uphill battle to get things sorted ! Plastic feet put on sofa as a 'make do' til feet arrived . Feet arrived - no bolts to put them on with ! Another wait for bolts - didn't fit !! Endless phone calls - calls not returned . Time off work waiting for deliverys . Trips to store to to try and sort things , the list goes on ! I am disgusted with the way i have been treated . Customer Service is appalling but , the worst thing is that, i can write this bad review , i can moan and bleat on about whats happened and will SCS take one bit of notice -NO , do they care -NO , will they do anything to try and make amends -NO !!! All this company is bothered about is getting your money after that they couldn't care less ! Absolutely disgusted !

Terrible customer service. They tell you an estimate of sofas and then when it comes near to the delivery date they claim they never state that delivery time and that in the small print there is a grace period of up to 5 weeks after the delivery date!!!! Very bad selling as they miss sell their products! Be aware and read small print do not trust the shop sellers word! They are also very rude and pushy after you have placed the order.

Ordered a leather sofa after 14 weeks noticed on paperwork that the extra cover I purchased was for fabric not leather, when I questioned it, I was told it is NOT leather!! I checked the website and under leather sofas is the one we ordered. When I complained was told that I had been informed it was not leather and in the end I have cancelled the order. I had also written to the CEO and they didn't even bother to contact me back, just let the store manager sort it out!! Who was next to useless. So will now go find one leather sofa from a professional outfit

Delivery team arrived 0715 and advised that the sofa would not come in through the front door. Was then told would cost me £125 to take away and redeliver and dismantle and rebuild in my home. I replied saying not going to pay this fee so I would be going back to the shop for a refund. SCS driver then informed me it's all about money once you've paid that's it. I was then told that they will try to and deliver the sofa by taking 2 doors off and any damage caused they would not be liable. Eventually the sofa was delivered into my house. Then we noticed one chair was damaged so contacted customer services, engineer arrived a week later and informed me that item could not be repaired on site and he whole arm on one side would have to be replaced, lead time 7 to 8 weeks and would take 3 hours to refit at home. Still waiting for this to happen. Also when paying final invoice I decided to cancel the 5 year warranty, this was then reduced to £50 for exactly the same cover how can this be? I do not recommend SCS to buying anything the service and customer is frankly appealing. Shop at SCS at your peril

Sales side is good. However; as soon as the 3 piece sofa arrived I noticed that the sofa and one of the chairs were damaged. This was noted on the delivery forms. We phoned, as advised, a few days later incase the 'dents' popped out. We were told that someone would come and assess the damage in two and a half weeks. (They couldn't possibly get anyone sooner in our area) A day before the appointment... it was cancelled. We were then told we'd have to wait until the following Monday ......so over three weeks since the order arrived and 2 days off work. After care service is appalling.... if we want to complain about the service we have to email....apparently there is no phone number. The dents in 2 out of 3 of our purchases are clearly visible...with the workmanship on the chair clearly shoddy. We will never buy from SCS again........ and are still left with our damaged sofa with the after care team in no rush to resolve it. What are they waiting for? Is their intention for us to let it go? Or is it to leave it as long as possible so we can't return it? This is exactly the same review as I have just completed on SCS via Trustpilot. It will be interesting to see whether it is posted.

Went to Scs in Reading to talk about a new carpet. The sales person was not keen to talk and sounded quite impatient. Finally he did not even bother to reply when I said bye to him and his colleague. Not going to order from them, sorry

Brought a sofa from here and after 2 weeks having it we had problems with the quality of the sofa and just feel apart in side from the springs and wood that puts it together. After six weeks it might as well been from a second hand shop as zips and pillows just feel apart . Head office a waste of time . Please don't purchase anything from SCS as I spoke to a company that is always repairing sofas from this company

This is about the order I place with yourselves on the 03/10/2016 for a 3 and 2 seater lazy boy electric recliner in grade A leather claret. We took delivery of the settees on the 19/12/2016 into our new home. Since then the leather on the back of all the settees has shrunk so much that the Velcro the fixes the leather to the bottom of the settees does not join and all the leather is loose. I reported this to yourselves and had to wait 4 weeks for a advisor to come and inspect and he agreed with me that the items were of a poor quality. I put on the report that I would like a full refund as I was not happy with the quality of the product. We had purchased the lazy boy range as friends of ours have it and recommended it. As we had paid £3,600.00 in cash for this product and also chose the grade a leather we was expecting a quality product this is not the case. I spoke to someone in the after care department on the 13/03/2017 about this and was told a refund was not possible so I went to the store to speak to the manager who sold it to me. I have also spoken to trading standards and lazy boy who inform me that as it is out of the 30 days since we had taken delivery of the product that a refund would be possible if SCS agreed to it but they would not so a repair would be done. I was told that if the repIr it not satisfactory then a refund would be agreed and also the company carrying out the repair would be from lazy boy as the settees came directly from the lazy boy factory. I feel that you. Have let us down as a company and I am told that the repair will be done in 5 to 7 weeks time which I feel unacceptable.

As SCS head office have now chosen to ignore my email I will post it here as my review instead. This is over a period of 14 months: -Carpet and laminate flooring ordered from the Leckwith store from a floor plan for a new build house in November 2015 totalling approximately £1600. Underlay is provided for free. Fitters are booked through the store however these are paid separately. -Carpet fitter arrives to fit the carpet in December to find not enough carpet has been provided. A whole set of stairs has been missed out. -Underlay is absolutely terrible. After calling the store they claim that they always recommend not using the free underlay and it’s better to upgrade – not once were we informed this. -----New costs now arise to lift the previous carpet and also buy a better quality underlay. -Laminate fitter arrives at a later date. He then discovered that there is not enough laminate to cover the floor so one room has to be left bare. There is also not enough underlay for the floor despite it all being paid for. Also no beading has been ordered so myself and my partner are sent out to pick some up on the day along with some ‘No Nails’. -Complaint sent to Head Office at this point after getting nowhere with the store but this email is sent back to the store for them to deal with it. -Laminate flooring starts rippling and there are dips in the floor. The fitter is sent back out to fix this however it dips back down a few days later. -The store then forwards this to the floor supplier assuming it is a fault in the boards. -A--After a few months they send out a technician who says it’s a fitting issue. -After correspondence with the store they send out a new fitter who is now dealing with many laminate complaints. The new fitter then informs us that there are many problems with the flooring which include: not enough of a gap being left by the wall, beading has been stuck using No Nails when it should have been nailed on to allow the floor to expand, beading should not have been stuck to the PVC in the bathroom which has ripped off with the beading. The result of the above is that the whole floor downstairs needs to be pulled up and re-laid. A report was filled out by the new fitter and approved in December/January however the floor still has not been fixed nor has a date been set up and nor have any replacement boards been provided. In conclusion to the timeline above not only did we have extra unexpected costs totalling more than £500 which is approximately 33% more the original price but we have also had to live with the rippling floor boards for over a year. I have had repeated contact with the store and have still not got anywhere. I paid fitters that they provided to find out further down the line that they weren’t even properly qualified. I have had the stress of trying to sort all of this out on top of a full time job as a teacher and I now have the added stress of overhauling the rooms that need to be re-laminated. I am in the process of reporting the store to Trading Standards as this is now getting ridiculous. Not only have I spent a lot of money on poor quality flooring, I could also have saved money by going elsewhere. The head office are also ignoring my emails for asssistance on this.

Extremely disappointing with their service. Bought a sofa in August 2016. Unfortunately, the mattress was not pocket sprung I ordered and paid for and also two cushions were missing. The cushions were delivered after a few days however, the issue with mattress still unresolved.I have been up and down to their store in Chesterfield where I bought the sofa but their pass the responsibility and blame their contractor. Their after sale team and customer services don`t even bother to respond to my complaint.

Whatever you do DO NOT BUY FROM SCS their customer service is appalling, purchased leather sofa and armchair in Dec 2016 noticed as soon as it was delivered that it just wasn't comfortable like the showroom model then felt the metalwork underneath and along the cushions, on Boxing Day went back into the lincoln store where I was assurred that if i contacted customer care everything would be sorted out - what a joke, they sent a "technician" round who was obnoxious to say the least he agreed that the sofa was very very hard but said that some customers would like it, not when I've paid nearly £3000. Needless to say SCS and Creation credit company went along with the one sentence report and told us that in their opinion the sofa was fine. I eventually paid £275 for an independent furniture report and what he has found is appalling, he has advised us not to use the sofa as it is a safety hazzard due to hitting the metal when you sit down, he has also found numerous other faults which in his words will be a very very long report. I am now awaiting my copy of the report then I will have to start the long process of contacting Creation and SCS again but hopefully when they see the report they will have to refund me if not I will have no hesitation in taking them to court. I rue the day that I ever set foot in SCS Lincoln and the stress is making me ill, to anyone thinking of purchasing new furniture go to a reputable dealer not the rogues that SCS are !!!
