I would not recommend the SCS carpet store in Stafford ! Ordered my carpet on the 1/01 /2017 , wasn't in a rush for it so had it fitted yesterday 11 /5/ 2017 so they had my order for over five month , But they have left me without any Door bars ! And have stuck the carpet down with Duck tape , and I don't know when I will get the door bars ,on top of that they are aware that my 88 year old disabled aunt lives with me ,which is very dangerous for her she could quite easily trip over the duck tape or the carpet , I cannot believe how bad the customer service is at SCS in Stafford! I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy !

Paid £3000 for a suite from Stockport branch that took 5 months to be delivered! Absolutely no help from sales people once the sign you up for a purchase. Eventually arrived without the feet. sCS not interested one bit and told us they would never come. Disgusting

I don't know how they can have such high ratings on their website. I can only assume they remove or pay no attention to these poor ratings when calculating their stars. I have only given a 1 star on this one because it is the lowest you can pick. I'd rather give no stars. I wanted my new sofa in time for my daughter's wedding. I had liked one at DFS but they were 14 weeks delivery. SCS were advertising online that they were 10 weeks delivery - this made it the week before the wedding. I would never have used them otherwise. I ordered in store from a really nice sales guy who couldn't do enough for me. He also confirmed it would be 10 weeks delivery. I went in one month before it was due for delivery to pay the final amount. They again said it would be within the 10 weeks. Apart from me asking on these two occasions they never got in touch once to keep me informed. 2 weeks before it was due I rang to get a delivery update. They told me it was going to be a month later than the 10 weeks. I said this was not what i had planned and they said they would send an email to 'gee them up' and would get back to me the following Monday. I rang late on monday after hearing nothing to be told the computers were down and they couldn't help me but would ring back the next day. As I had heard nothing again I rang late the next day. I was told she would get in touch with me when she had a date. Friday came and another week had gone by so I rang again. All I got was they would have to pass it to their branch manager and he wasn't in this week! I was told I shouldn't have been told 10 weeks. They wouldn't or couldn't give me anyone's name to ring in the absence of their branch manager. Basically they don't give a toss. Their customer aftersales service is appalling. They've got the sale and had your money and don't give a monkeys what happens after that. I will NEVER use SCS again and will encourage everyone I know not to do so.

Everything. ordered for Christmas as they say on the tv lol what a joke came end of January 2015' sent the wrong coloured poofee which yes I know we got free as good will gesture for being late but totally wrong colour so had to go back.we paid extra for the foam cushions as they were explained as to not lose there shape What a joke apparently after 2 years and 5 months it's normal for them to lose there shape, we ordered the Lincoln 4 seater and high backed chair and at the back of the cushions were the zip is all the stitching has looped out how this has happened they can't give me an explanation other than wear and tear which is ridiculous even one of the accessor didn't have a clue .the stitching on the high backed chair seat has frayed so there's nothing they can do there either,they were quick to sell us the extended cover which cost £200.00 which basically isn't worth the paper it's written on so we're stuck with a shabby looking setee after a couple of years wear and tear ,my advice avoid scs like the plague as there after care is worthless like many of you have said once they have your money there really not bothered,and as for the extended warranties there not worth the paper there written on, really hope people read these reviews before buying from scs.but on the off chance you do read these reviews scs I will be seeking advice as I've been missold my insurance and my cushions are not what I paid for.

Purchased a Layzee boy sofa , took out the extra insurance on top of existing 10 year warantee....damaged by SCS in either their warehouse or in their delivery van- not covered by insurance, not covered by warantee, customer service really poor - no response to emails - poor response to phone calls, defensive and rude- I would never shop here again.

I bought a very expensive La-Z-Boy sofa from SCS. Long story short, paid up front, very long lead time, no feedback from SCS, constant chasing to find out delivery dates, you get the picture. The sofa arrived & all seemed well, but it turned out to be defective (an engineer eventually visited and determined that a piece of internal foam needed replacing). Well here we are 6 months later, still no fix & no follow up from SCS or La-Z-Boy. So it seems neither brand nor price are any guarantee of quality or customer service. Do yourself a favour & avoid both these brands!

Bought a wing back chair in January and was told it would be ready in 7 weeks. It actually arrived after 9 weeks but that isn't my complaint. When it arrived one of the upholstered buttons was badly damaged and so I contacted scs for it to be repaired. I was told I would receive a visit shortly to resolve the problem. I waited another 3 weeks for an upholsterer to visit expecting it to be repaired. He simply confirmed what I'd told them over the phone and that he would need to order a button. But it wouldn't be long till he was back to repair it. 3 weeks later I get a phone call saying the button was now with them and the upholsterer would be out to repair it in........... 31 days time???? So a chair I bought in January has taken 5 months to be actually properly available in my home. This is the poor after care service that gives scs such low ratings on review websites like this. I certainly won't buy from scs again and I recommend anyone reading this do likewise. Very poor company

What went wrong? Everything!! Apart from the stage when a nice and well-trained seller made me pay the deposit and sign the contract. All has come after this was a complete fiasco: rude fulfilment company staff, not delivered on the day agreed, refuse of paying the refund in full... AVOID THEM!!!

Spent £3k, discovered it had a manufacturers fault. Have had so msny technicisns reports confirming the same. Service countless ordered parts/visits no repair or replacement cliwns outfit. SCS NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM.

Mislead from the day one. I was shown an underlay but when the carpet arrived, the underlay was just black plastic sheet. Becton SCS bluntly refused that they had shown the other underlay. Poor customer services.

I have just contacted my local SCS store to ask why I have not had any calls or attempt of contact reference our sofa delivery to be told that its not even arrived in store, and they don't know where it is! we was given a delivery date of 24th April so we have moved the furniture around to make space and even got rid of our old sofa in preparation for receiving the delivery today. reading through the paperwork received when we purchased the sofa it states that if there is any delay at all then we would be contacted to be made aware of the situation! we have had no attempt of contact at all! your company has messed around since day one of ordering a sofa and new carpets and it is a joke! customer service is ridiculous!

The customer service at ScS is shocking bad. Once they take your money they think they can do what they want and don’t care about any customer service. I have contacted ScS on numerous occasions via the telephone and via email for months but I do not get any response. The only response I get from ScS is by an automated email saying my email will be responded to within 3-5 working days. I did get one response from someone called Marie Robson who I believed not to be an automated message saying they will respond to me but asked me to explain myself again, which I did, but then I assume the message was deleted and lost in the ether. Every time I have tried to contact the store, the telephone either just rings and when I do speak to someone they say will get back to me. We purchased our carpet from SCS from the Slough branch. We originally chose SCS due to recommendations from friends, the carpet selection and the knowledge provided by the sales team was very good but that’s as good as it gets. We selected our carpet in October 2016 with the planned installation for the 30th October 2016. The survey occurred on the 10th October 2016. Following the survey we finalised on a carpet runner in the hallway and stairs and invictus carpets in the room. We paid the full amount of £3049.39 within 3 days of placing the order. On the day before the installation we wanted to confirm what time the installers would be attending as we had previously informed the store that we were not living at the property and needed to called before the installers attend our house and rang the store multiple times to confirm this. Unfortunately we were unable to get hold of the store to confirm if the installation was still taking place. On the morning of 30th October the installers rang stating they were outside the house, so our message had not got through to the installers. We got to property very quickly so there was no waiting around by the installers. During the carpet fitting the we noticed the hallway was made up of two sections of carpet. We queried this with the installers who informed us that they are just the installers and are installing based on they are told to do? This was unusual as we had previously sat down with the sales team to go through the carpet arrangement on the stairs and the hallway. The carpet arrangement suggested by the carpet fitters were not what we had asked for, yet they couldn’t care less. Basically the installers did not install our carpet as we had asked for and wanted and got a bit aggressive saying its not their problem and we had to take this up with ScS. We didn’t want it installed with the join but as they were aggressive and we couldn’t get hold of ScS we were left with having to carry on as we were moving into the house with our children on the same day. I guess that is the problem with ScS they do not have their own installers which is a cost cutting exercise and do not have any say over what the installers do. The problem with the carpet is that the lines on the carpet do not line up and it looks very cheap. For £3000 for an expensive carpet and for it to look rubbish is an insult. If we had known the carpet was to be installed like this we would have stopped the installation before they started. A shoddy company – Do not recommend.

Ordered my bedroom carpet three weeks in advance. No contact until the morning of fitting to tell me that you couldn't do it today. My husband had taken the day off work and the room has been decorated and cleared. 2 hours later and I still await a call back with resolution

SCS-Lakeside Retail Park Ridiculous customer service, employees were sitting around playing on phones when customers were present, and then they talk about customers behind their backs. I overheard two whisper just behind me, and another two constantly sniggering and staring at me. Disgusting.

I rang SCS this morning because we bought a 2 and a 3 seater sofa and delivery is in 4 weeks and I have been worrying myself and have been thinking the large one would not fit through the doorways.Claire from the Mansfield store has rung me back as promised and put my mind at rest as they can come split and built in the room.I am very grateful and this is twice now we have had brilliant service from Claire.If you want good honest service then go to SCS at Mansfield.BRILLIANT.

Once scs had your money they couldn't care less customer service is a joke even emailed CEO nothing happened after complaining about faulty sofas £3200 sent independent assesor they didn't like his report so they tried to get him to change his report to say us 2 pensioners had damaged it Beware Don't Buy from them not registered with furniture ombudsman only reputable company's are

2 sofas £3290 supossed to be top of the range had nothing but faults customer service is a joke guarantee not worth the paper it's written on would never buy from scs would never recommend them company doesn't belong to furniture ombidsman not a reputable company from 2 pensioners
