“A terrible, terrible company to deal with. International Paper uses them for all disability and comp claims. Communication is poor, processes poorly explained, time frames not reasonable, expectations of compliance to unreasonable requests for non-existent information is overwhelming. Our doctor is equally frustrated with them. They refuse to honor the doctor statement of time off needed, instead continuing to increase demands of more information about a condition that cannot be treated until we see a specialist. My poor husband has a severe injury that we are waiting to see a specialist for. They actually demanded records from this specialist that he hasn't even seen yet! He worked horrendous hours during Covid times that inhibited healing and exacerbated his symptoms to the point of extreme disabling. Likely Sedgwick will deny his short-term disability for the month we have to wait to see a specialist. Folks, this is the thanks you get for investing your loyalty in a company for decades. They treat my husband as if he has no value!”

“There was absolutely 0 communication on Sedgwick’s part. The approved my short term disability which I had no idea they did so I was still going to work. I spoke to several people throughout the two weeks not one told me my claim was approved. I asked how I close the claim and just start over since none of them knew what was going on. They said they would but never did. I saw online there was still a claim saying I was out of work. However, I never spoke to an examiner or received the paperwork in the mail. I worked 30hrs Sedgwick is trying to take my entire check and leave me with $255. I make $27/hr. How is that even correct? They are dumber than rocks.”

“Let me start by saying this is by far the worst company on the planet and is not for the people. My senior claims adjuster “Nancy Minot” is M.I.A. And does not return phone calls or emails. Her Supervisor “Tonya Hawthorne” is no better. Both show a lack of concern for my claim and anything that comes along with it. I had surgery to repair my severed quad tendon and patella from a 800 pounds vending machine falling on me at work. I was given a 1% by the designated doctor that they chose. He didn’t do any X-rays or never tests other than running a pen along side my leg and taking measurements. What a joke Dr. Levine truly is. In Texas your allowed a second impairment which I received from a none workers compensation affiliate. I received far better care from X-rays of my complete lower body and nerve tests which after 3 hours and a 3 week wait it came bk to result in 20% impairment. Sedgwicks Tonya Hawthorne snobby self along with her attitude let me know today that they were sticking by the 1% which is no surprise. See ya at the hearing and if that doesn’t go well the next real court date. I plan of fighting Sedgwick, I see first hand what they are doing and how they have treat and continue to treat me is dead wrong. If I could rate this company a ZERO I would. Definitely not for the people but in fact for themselves, it’s a reason their is a score of 92% bad. If people did their job instead of lack their of maybe somethings would change. I can’t wait for the day someone shuts this company down.”
“pretty much the same as others. Sedgwick denies denies denies. you get 2 phone calls: the one where you explain what happened. Then the one some time later that you are being denied. I'm a Marine Veteran; you picked the wrong person to try to screw with.
Customers: get yourself an email tracking service that can tell when links are opened, emails opened, etc. I tried to file an appeal (because they will deny you right off) through their website. their website was down/couldn't file the appeal/blah blah. So I filed an IT incident in Nov 2020. took until MARCH 13 2021 to get a reply. Constant phone calls to Sedgwick will get you nowhere. I didn't even get the extension for my 'rep', and sometime LATE March 2021 got his email. The incident happened in SEPTEMBER.
There needs to be a class action lawsuit, and for them to get shut down. Big enough penalty to hurt them.”
“Cant even get in touch with anyone for a claim. Have been calling daily for 2 months. No one ever answers nor do they bother to call back. My insurance is having the exact same problem getting in touch with them leaving my claim on what seems to be an indefinite hold status.”

“For a disability company, I must say they are horrible! If you need to recover from a medical condition don’t expect to do so. Most of your recovery will be contacting this horrible company. They are not in the business to assist you in making sure you get well, they are here to make sure you have to spend every week contacting them and worrying if you’ll be compensated properly, to receiving proper medical care.
Let’s not even discuss the ‘customer satisfaction survey’ that hangs up on you before you can do the survey either. I’m not sure how employers can say they care about their employees when they decide to link up with an organization like this!

“I must admit that this claim company does not listen or work in the interest of customers unfortunate enough to be referred to them by insurance company.
I was flooded in Aug 2020, and to date not one part of claim is resolved, almost five months later.
Be warned always get their advice in writing, do not let any part of the claim slide. Take pictures of everything being claimed for, as I did, put on gallery MIclaim, only to be told by the company that runs it Sedgwick that they can’t access it.
Will farm out to so called independent assessors for contents, be warned if you dont have picture then you will not get anything like it’s value, even if the clear up company pretend to take details videos and pictures it will not help.
Offered £3700 to complete repair to building work, refused to accept, company appointed by sedgwick let slip that they would charge £14000, and would have to add to claim as their loss adjuster had missed several areas needing attention.
Please contact your insurers frequently especially if you are getting run around and delay tactics. 3 months after I had said I would want them to put house back in order they indicated that I had to confirm I was not accepting cash settlement, despite emails indicating this several times( just delay after delay).
So contents not resolved, electrical items not resolved, building work not even near getting started.
My insurance company spoke to me re renewing my insurance with them, no way, they have to take responsibility for employing these fools.”
“Sedgwick totally mess my claim. I have used only 7 weeks since March 2020 from November 2020. But system shows that I used 35 weeks out of 52. Even when I called them they got my phone number and hang up.”
