“Have had one excellent trip to Spain with Senior Discovery Tours but have tried a few times to book other tours but have not been successful. Once, the tour was cancelled because not enough people signed up for it, the second time we were talked out of it by your agent, and a third time the tour was cancelled. We would like another tour with your company, but so far have not had much luck. We prefer one stop and stay holidays. Also, we like to cruise but Senior Discovery Tours offers only Princess Cruises. We prefer Holland America or Celebrity cruise lines.”
“The tour managers were wonderful and the itineraries were great. Single supplement is making it almost impossible to travel. Then add extra airfare and it becomes a no go.”
“We were satisfied with the 2 trips we have done with Senior Tours. Tour Managers were good both times, but on our first trip the leader was in her 20's and not knowledgeable about senior travellers. The itinerary was too busy and she was always trying to arrange late night parties when participants were happy to have some down time.
Last trip involved a Princess Cruise. The things organized by our manager were v.g. Our major complaint had nothing to do with Seniors Tours but with the cruise line. The price of all the shore tours was exorbinant - we expected tours to be costly, but the prices were way over- priced. We would probably never do another European cruise because of this.”
“Hard to pick one overall rating. Some parts of my trips have been excellent - interesting events and places and some great restaurants. Some experiences have been poor - would like to be able to upgrade my seating or have advance seat selection on the aircraft. I’m sure this could be negotiated with airlines. Had a poor experience with a tour manager but this was off set on my next trip with an amazing tour manager. Overall a good experience. Hopefully some positive changes will come out of these unsettling times we are in. Can’t wait to get back to France Spain Italy and more of Europe!!!!”

Miscommunication within SDT left us hanging at Deer Lake airport on arrival in the middle of the night with no transport to the hotel, or rating would be a 5. Extremely knowledgeable and personable guide and driver. Newfoundlanders are out of this world welcoming and gracious hosts. Fourteen days on a coach sounded like intimidating butt time, but we had good break and walk-around opportunities.”
“On the whole, i found the five tours we went on very enjoyable, well organized and safe. I think the price is a little high, and some of the tours were tiring for seniors. The escourts and drivers are hard working. The bus drivers are pleasant and skilful. I would use them again”

“After about 11 tours with SDT, I can say that I have enjoyed them all. Provence was my favourite. Ecuador was a challenge with flight times and connections horrible. I have seen many beautiful parts of this world with other tour companies but always return to SDT for their dependable service. I was sorry to have the Russian tour cancelled due to the virus but very pleased that with the cancellation came a very quick return of my money! Air Canada gave me vouchers for other flights I had booked and were cancelled so kudos to SDT! I am anxious to soon book future tours with STD when it is safe to do so!”
“It was good for what it was. My only complaint was it was an active trip and we had fellow travellers who were in denial of their fitness levels so the rest of us suffered. One lady was 91 and needed a cane! So needless to say the hike in the hills and the cave of many stairs was ruined for us.
Excellent guide, good accommodation. I am not sure if we will use your company again if they are more strict about fitness levels.”
