“Very well organized, leaves nothing out in pricing. Excellent tour guides provided in destinations. Food is generally quite good. A few times I felt the hotel locations were a bit isolated if you had free time.”

Overnight flights from Canada leave you in Europe well before the hotels are equipped to accommodate you.This should be remedied.
I am sure most seniors would be willing to pay for the extra night lodging so, one could lie down and refresh to truly begin on the right foot”

“We toured Tuscany last fall from our base in Viareggio. Most impressive were our many guides, particularly the fellow in Lucca but all very good. The food at the Hotel President was great once or twice but so-so more often than not, and optional upgraded wine would have been welcomed. In hindsight, we'd have been happier with shorter tours, particularly in Florence, as exhaustion was an issue. Also, terrible leaving as early as we did to get to the airport, with a long, long wait before our flight and many of us fighting a flu bug.”

“I have almost always been pleased with SDT. Of course, there have been occasional exceptions with guides that were not helpful or trip planning that required too much time on the bus. That is why I gave SDT a 4 star rating. As for the tour from which we just came back, there was none; it would have been next month and it was cancelled as a result of COVID-19==no fault of SDT. We got our money back in full and promptly. We have every intention of using SDT in the future when it is possible to think of Canadian or international travel.”
“Well paced tours covering highlights of destinations. I experienced one great tour manager, and 1 mediocre manager. Although targeted at seniors, my experience ( on 2 tours) has been that a more thorough vetting of physical capabilities of some patrons would be appreciated. Mobility restricted participants impact on the entire tour group.”
