“I received my 52cc strimmer today, on the day sgs said it would be delivered. It took me 20mins to assemble it, which was extremely straightforward and relatively easy.
Added 40:1 mixture, pressed the feed bubble until no air in fuel pipe, full choke, pulled, it coughed, moved choke to half way, pulled again and it started, moved choke to normal running position and commenced strimming for a good hour without the slightest hiccup.
I read lots of reviews on Amazon stating it wouldn't start or very difficult to start, not worth the money, rubbish, this is and outstanding workhorse and if you follow the process I did above, it will start every time without a problem.”
“I ordered a tool chest from this company in December 2021 for my son. Twice it was sent out dented and the toolbox handles were faulty as holes in cabinet were not aligned properly. Had to wait to collect defective box, wait again to be delivered. Next one was dented again as packing very poor, waited for collection, waited again for new one to be delivered. I asked to ensure all packing correct, items included and then found no handles with new box. Tried emailing, calling and been fobbed off. 4 months to send handles through post. It's now May 2022 and still not got what I've paid for. Next action is trading standards. Told me last week, no handles and they are still selling item on line. Terrible customer service. I'd give SGS a miss !!”
“Pathetic company, waited a week for a picture from the delivery company to say where they left my goods. And they left it at my gate on show to the public. Should have never been left without my consent, I have a shed at the back of my garden which it could have went in. STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! never get to talk to a manager when you ask.”

**UPDATE** they still haven’t even delivered yet promised it once again. They will tell you it’s with the courier and you can’t have a refund but the courier never has received the item.
Seriously the stars on this company are 1 star. They clearly have paid for reviews. I’m taking this further and reporting them. As everyone else is having the same experience I recommend doing the same as this should not be acceptable as they don’t even give refunds even though items aren’t shipped. Also reporting to my bank. These people are frauds**
Awful service. Ordered at 9am for next day delivery as it states on the website. Nothing arrives and when called they had no clue where my item was and told me that I can’t have a refund as its been dispatched but they don’t know where it’s at. Would certainly avoid and not buy from here again. It’s worth paying that little extra not to have to deal with this company as you have a 40 mins wait to get through to be told “here’s your tracking number.. we can’t see anything on it but there you go. I now have to deal with other calls”

“Very easy to get through to Sales to place an order, but when you try to follow it up it is impossible. If you try to explain your problem to Sales, they transfer you to a dead "Customer Service" line, which noone ever answers.
I phoned Sales back on several occasions and said" Please listen to me, and do not cut me off" and they cut me off immediately.
Is this company going bankrupt? It is hard to imagine that they can treat their customers like this, and stay in business

“Full week later, order still processing when it is supposed to be next day delivery. Got two emails back when I raised the issue 3 times. Generic email, we will look into this etc. Last few emails they are ignoring. Incompetent, useless customer service team. At least try to rectify issues that wouldn’t have happened if you were dedicated to providing a good service to your customers.”
“I purchased a new SCV50 compressor, which didn't work from the start. On ispection, the air outket elbow from one of the two compressor was split and the plastic cover was damaged. The company didn't want to replace it and I wasn't prepared to repair a brand new item. Their customer service department appears to be made up of young with no engineering ability whatsoever, so after two months I was eventually refunded the full amount under the terms of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, as the unit was less than 30 days old when I complained. In fact I complained on day two of ownership.
These compressors are made in China, not the UK. They are NOT tested by SGS and identical units can be purchased elsewhere in places like Machine Mart.
Look at the Google reviews of this company, in particular concerning air compressors and you'll see numerous people all complaining obout the quality of the compressors and failure of SGS Engineering to deal with the complaints. I would strongly advise potential customers not to not buy anything from this company. Look at the number of SGS compressors on Ebay, going cheap because they are rubbish....... used just three times because the forth time they don't work !!
I got my money back by going via my credit card company and a Section 75 and the help of the Trading Standards and Citizens Advice, who incidently, were brilliant.”
