Don’t bother ordering, you won’t get your order, and they will lie to you about deliveries. Once they have your money, they lose interest

I ordered a 71" roller cabinet, £660, quality is average. It arrived late and without warning and when I unpacked it, there were a couple of small dents. The returns process is a nightmare and all risk sits with the customer. I've had a couple of emails from their customer services, all apologises but no real help. 5 weeks later I'm still waiting on them getting in touch.

Cabinet stc7200s delivered with damage to door. SGS have made it very difficult to rectify this. I asked they send me a new door and I will return the damaged door in the packaging. Instead they are insisting I ship the entire cabinet back.

I bought a trolly jack less then a year ago the jack doesn’t lift it’s just enough to get wheels of the ground and looks like it’s leaking. SGS have sent me many things like top up the fluid, air purge the jack I have done this and it’s the same... I have contacted them again and there not willing to help or do anything... Stay clear of there trolly jacks there not worth the money. I would of been better to buy one of Amazon. Very unhappy 😞

Just a word of warning to anyone looking to order from SGS. I ordered some axle stands before Christmas and one arrived faulty. I reported the issue the day after delivery and after nearly 3 months they have still not resolved the issue. At every stage I have had to chase the issue as they stop responding and they even sent the wrong replacement parts out. Now I am left with faulty items and I’ve been told if I want a refund I just need to pay to return the items. My items were quick to arrive, but the customer service has been nothing short of appalling. Now they have my money they have no interest in sorting out my issue.

Never have any stock in, been waiting since December 2020 to order 6 trolley jacks, was told they’d have more in stock jan 2021, it’s nearly February now and still don’t have any. Awful stock levels for a big company, whoever works in the purchasing dept needs sacking.

POOR QUALITY / SGS 54" STAINLESS STEEL STCSS5400, BROKEN WELDS and LOWER DRAW SCRAPES WHEN LOADED !!! I ordered 2 of these cabinets ; SGS 54" STAINLESS STEEL 26 DRAWER TOOL CHEST AND ROLLER CABINET Product Code: STCSS5400 and they arrived fairly swiftly. There was damage to one of the sides and after unpacking them [pointed out to a very helpful delivery driver, he took photos] and after peeling the protective film off [3 hours work min for the 2]. I noticed the lids which are braced internally with a strengthener/book holder were welded. .....Fine but the outer welds on both lids had become detached, a manufacturing fault, these had not been damaged in transit. So contacted 'C' at SGS and they offered £15 to get it fixed. It would cost at least £150 to get them specialist welded plus polish the tops again after welding and I'll have to take them to the specialist....... they were going to contact me ....NOTHING YET. Plus watch out if you buy this model the large left bottom drawer scrapes on the lower left side when closing on both units [even if unloaded the gaps are wrong - Fact, Not overloaded either may I add]. I was told I would be contacted within 48 hours - NOTHING YET DESPITE EMAILING THEM AGAIN. REALLY BAD POST SALE SERVICE, Remembering before I bought them I mentioned the similar ones at Homebase and their salesman 'N' said 'it was like comparing a Mini to a Rolls-Royce, there ones were of far superior quality and they were carefully inspected before they were sent' !!! ..... I think I must have got the Mini version !! Question - How did they inspect it if they are covered in cardboard [which looked very old with years of dust on it] and the cabinets have a white sticky removable coating, which on peels off. Answer - It would be absolutely impossible to inspect the cabinets unless they removed all of the packaging. I am now contacting my Credit Card Company. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN for STAINLESS CABINETS, BE WARNED !! 1

Return 230260 - you have now had my return for over 6 weeks and yet I'm disappointed as you have still not refunded me. I've spend alot of time on trying to get this resolved. I have told you on numerous occasions what the parcel looks like, sent proof of return , photos and answered your repeated questions over and over again. You have made promises to escalate to management and contact me and you constantly fail. This is most disappointing and not acceptable. I look forward to hearing from you and receiving a full refund for goods we have returned and you appear to have lost.

Ordered online. Item dispatched without notifying me. Then put in the bin by the courier without my knowledge or agreement. No after delivery update. SGS and DHL refuse responsibility for missing/ abandoned parcel. Shame. I’d rather pay little bit more and have a proper service.

***** YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, READ ALL***** ON 12th August 2020 i purchased an air conditioning unit and it was delivered the next day, so far so good, that same evening i unpacked the item plugged it in and within a very short time the unit was turning its self on and off, and also seemed quite noisey. With the above happening i immediately removed the faulty item and repackaged it back up for a return to them. I then emailed the company and informed them of the problem and said i wanted to return the faulty item and need a returns label as the item is faulty the return costs are down to the supplier. (I attached an image of the item repackaged up in this email) I then get an email from sgs engineering asking me to send them a video of this item showing the fault. I emailed them back saying the item is already repackaged up and as the item is faulty i or anyone else would not be plugging the item back in for a video, as it could cause injury or death to the person plugging it in, or could cause damage to my property, and asked again for a returns label as i wish to return this faulty item for a full refund. After sending the above email i then decided to put a PayPal claim in as at this early stage i was all ready having problems getting a returns label. Sgs engineering did not reply at all to the PayPal claim until the very last day they had to respond, and this contact was made by them to me by direct email (not through PayPal) saying they would have a courier collect the item at a convenient time and said they would collect it Monday 31st August 2020. The above date was not convenient so i emailed asking for another date and also a returns label to be attached to the package, the response i got was you dont need a label, so i emailed again saying the package needs to be tracked, so it needs a label with a barcode, the return email from sgs engineering said, no you do not need a label. At this point i then asked for a copy of the confirmation for the collection of the package which was now being collected on 1st September 2020, which they sent me by email. On Tuesday 1st september 2020 the courier arrived to collect the package but unfortunately he could not take it as it had no label on the package. I then emailed sgs engineering and they said a courier would collect it on Wednesday 2and September 2020, and guess what THEY DID collect it that day they arrived and atatched the label they bought with them and then scanned the barcode on to there system. (I took photos of the label and the package as it was loaded onto the van) Sgs engineering signed for the return package on Friday 4th September 2020. I heard nothing from them until i contacted PayPal by telephone to ask what was happening as I've not yet had any outcome of my PayPal claim, they at PayPal sent me a link to send in further information showing the tracking number of the package, which i sent to them immediately. I then finally receive an email from sgs engineering on the 23rd September 2020 saying a refund will be in your account with in the next 5 to 7 working days. The PayPal claim was finally settled in my favour on the 29th September 2020 for the full amount of £298.00. I would never ever ever recommend this company to anyone at all they have been a total nightmare and not helpful in any shape or form when the problem arose, I had to wait 48 days or 1 month 17 days to get my money back and also reported them to there local trading standards. Basically it's companies like this why i always use PayPal to pay, that way if you have any problems you put a PayPal claim in straight away, dont be fooled by them, put a PayPal claim in straight away.

USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN PERIL! You will notice from the low star reviews that a lot of them show that this company will not settle any complaints amicably and that they are very evasive and unhelpful. They make every excuse they can to avoid their responsibilities for poor goods. I purchased a 50 litre compressor in 2019 and soon found that the inside of the tank was not treated and rusty water was emptied out after each use. Despite sending photographs to the company and asking for it to be replaced under guarantee, the company still has not made any comments other than saying that the inside of their tanks are treated against rust. Since this company seems to use cheap Chinese goods which are not durable I can only assume that they are only interested in selling cheap imports and pocketing my money. The second issue is when I wanted to buy a SGS Mini Inline Filter & Water Trap; I telephoned (the call was recorded by me) SGS Engineering Co UK to ask them what the correct couplers should be and I was given the part code numbers and I immediately made an online order. The parts arrived quickly and without any instructions but because the parts were recommended by SGS Engineering Co UK to fit the male & female end connectors of the inline filter/water trap they could not be put on the wrongly. After a few days of using the inline filter/water trap with my SGS compressor to spray a classic car I noticed the spray pattern was not right so got a friend who is a sprayer to have a look. His finding was that SGS Engineering Co UK had recommended and supplied the WRONG couplers for the inline filter/water trap and the direction of air flow through the filter/water trap was going the wrong way. I contacted the company by email to explain the situation and ask for compression on the grounds of them giving incorrect information and informing them of the Misrepresentation Act 1967. This was the start of a long dialogue whereby they refused to accept any responsibility and were very evasive, saying "Spraying is a specialist profession. We are not responsible if you have set up the airline incorrectly, or had an issue through operation, on parts ordered in the October of 2019. You ordered the parts (online) and you set up the airline. Moreover, we are not liable for any materials you have bought or monies you have lost." Very interested comments and when I explained it was a SGS Engineering employee who told me the couplers part numbers and I had made the order using that information and it had been set up and used correctly yet they continued to be evasive. I sent them a dated recording of the telephone conversation and copies of the my telephone bill, both which confirmed the call had been made on the date and time to their number yet they said they had no recording of my call! Obviously, they must have conveniently 'lost' their call recording. This shows what sort of company they are. At no time did they ask the goods to be returned for inspection and despite being given deadlines to try to resolve the matter I realised I was not going to get replacements or my money back after months of trying I decided not to waste any more time on such an evasive and unhelpful company selling poor quality goods and its employees giving incorrect information over the telephone. Do not be misled by any good reviews you read but bear in mind if things go wrong with something you purchase from this company you have no redress so if you buy from this company you do so at your own risk.
