“I really liked the tour! The local guides were awesome, especially Oscar. He is a treasure. Transportation arrangements and hotels were perfect. Scheduled andnoptional tours were great! Food was a bit boring. Would like to suggest an optional activity be going to a nice restaurant with the local guide to help with language and order off the menu and pay for it ourselves at the restaurant. There were many foods I would have been interested in trying but did not have the opportunity. Other than that ... GREAT JOB and I would do another SmarTour in a minute. Thank you”

“The group was fantastic, the hotels were great. The excursion to Oman was worth every penny, loved it. I always enjoyed the trips I took with Smartours. You make it easy on us and you always make sure the days are filled with excitement. However, I would like to convey to you this time around that our Guide quality was very weak and disappointing. Again thank you Smartours.”

“Just got back from Africa! A Professional Host to Meet and Greet you and suggest any excursions to make the most of your visit. Travelers really get to enjoy the tranquility of this unique area. Adele, and the Guides are knowledgeable and pleasant. Yes, I would use SmarTours again.”

“who ever booked the airline reservations for the return flight should be fired, we had only one hour between the arrival of our flight from Dubrovnik on air croatia and the departure of our American flight from Frankfort to philadelphia, when we landed in frank ford, we were told one hour is never enough to make a connection in the Frankfort airport, the airline people put us on a lufthansa flight which left serval hour later so naturally we all missed our flight from Philadelphia to chicago, of course we know smart tours was not responsible for that flight, but smart tours was totally incompetent in serving up an itinerary to allow only one hour between flights in frankfort. a terrible ending for a nice trip”

“We found this tour an excellent compilation of destinations and attractions to get a better understanding of China. In Hongkong we would propose to look into a local offer of an afternoon Lantau @ monastery (self paid) instead of Macau (no interest in our group). Our tour leader Mark "Ma" was outstanding in his organisational and social skills and cultural and political knowledge. The local experts added to the fun we had. Hotels were very good to excellent. The hotel in Guilin should reorganize their breakfast, which was sometimes chaotic with the food supply. China Eastern provided excellent service and the other airlines in China where very good.. The Yangtze cruise and especially the Li river cruise met all our expectations (food on the Yangtze varied in quality) Congratulations to such an extraordinary experience for a more than a decent price. You might look into some facts with your descriptive material, like carry-on weights which were no problem at all and tags, which were not provided..”

“What SmarTours did was hire a very good guide in Paul. His driving ability was so good that it put us at ease on those narrow roads. He gave us a wonderful history of Ireland.. He was fun and we all felt that he went out of his way to make our visit to Ireland a pleasant one.”

“Airplane trip was bad. An effort should be made to accommodate friends that are traveling together next to each other. Itinerary was excellent as the tour director was very knowledgeable and always ready to help. Some rooms at the hotels we stayed were not as clean as they should be. I had a good experience in Israel. Lots of history!”

“Enjoyed the trip overall but there are a couple of comments or observations: there were three consecutive early mornings (we’re talking up at 1:45 am, 4:45 am and 5:30 am) that seemed unnecessary if the day and flights or overall schedule were planned better. Tour guide was very knowledgeable but so much info is provided that it’s ultimately lost. I would love to have Dina Talaat’s narrative (perhaps along with other guides’) compiled into a file on smartours website that I could have printed before or after the trip for my own use. I started out taking notes but just gave up after a short time as there was too much. World spree (another similar tour provider) provides a bibliography list of reading suggestions for clients to become more educated on their trip location. Neither Dina nor Mohamed had the tour group introduce themselves & give a home town or other info to the group which is unfortunate since you’re going to spend time close together in a bus.”

“This was a beautiful trip. It was great staying in each hotel more than 1 or 2 days. Our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. The only thing I did not like about this trip is that our group was too big. I have traveled with Smartours several times before and this was the first time that I have been with so many travelers (43). Our guide did a great job keeping all of us together, but I feel that all of us could have benefited from a smaller group. The extension to Eilat had 35 people and that was much better.”

“More detail should be written on the itinerary, especially for walking. 2-3 hrs, moderate, etc walks. Think about the handicap and seniors. Rok, our tour director was not patient with the seniors. sometimes we cannot hear on the bus and must be told repeatedly. He should learn patience. the bus driver was very patience and friendly.”

“Our tour guide, “Oscar,” was terrific— knowledgeable and helpful, as was Ally our guide in Shanghai. The tour was busy, but with a variety of activities, from lunch in a local family’s home, to acrobatic show, to a foot massage! I also got to climb The Great Wall and see the Terra Cotta Warriors 😀”

“Everything was fine except some minor things like we never received luggage tags in mail and they were not given to us at Cairo airport. Egypt air in flight service was bad. Itinerary included very early morning flights which made us get up as early as 1.30 am. There was not enough time anywhere for shopping. Must say that the local tour manager Dina and logistics guy Mohammad did fantastic jobs.”
