“I have contacted smart to several times a problem I had with the flight to Budapest Which was delayed and then I missed my connection Babe I missing a half day I have my first day on the tour. Smart tours kept giving me the runaround telling me someone would get back to me and I still have not heard back.”

“Excellent tour and Ron McGregor was exceptionally a great guide. Wish he could have accompanied us to the other countries as well. Will recommend this tour to others with tour guide being Ron Mcgregor and in fact already have. My only complaint was not having complete information on optional excursion opportunities prior to the tour. Thus I went way over my budget as these opportunities became available as we went along on our tour and I hadn't been aware of them to budget for in advance.”

“Our guide and the tour of the five cities was very good. The hotel in Grenada was very disappointing. The staff was not a hospitable at all . We should have stayed two days in another city. The dinners that were included war on the poor side. Other than that we enjoyed touring Spain very much.”

“Good tour of Costa Rica. Good tour leader, and good hotels. Meals were just ok - the same buffet, offered in each of our hotels. Excellent opportunities to view wildlife in that country. We arrived in San Jose, Costa RIca with others on the tour. We were escorted to our hotel from the airport by our tour guide at 10:30 AM. At that point, we were left for the day, with no suggestions as to how to spend our day in San Jose. So, Tuesday was a wasted day, with the tour actually starting on Wednesday. This could have been better organized.”

“Just completed the tour of Egypt. Our guide, Hanna, was very personable, very informative and extremely helpful. The schedule, with very early morning flights, is grueling and not for everyone.”

“I loved our excellent guide, Patricia, who was organized, fun, and knowledgeable. She did everything she could to make sure our trip ran smoothly. As the person who often “brought up the rear” she continuously checked on me, to make sure I survived the adventure. A very active trip. Gorgeous scenery. However, some of the sites were similar & perhaps not always necessary. Would have preferred the local guide to take us to castle, instead of just walking around. Postojna Caves were great. Loved Dubrovnik & dinner at the “beach” restaurant. Beautiful sunset view.”

“The Iceland trip was wonderful. Such magnificance of nature to behold. Our guide Goodnee was fabulous. She was always explaining things and sites to see. She went beyond the call of duty when one of our group fell and went to the hospital. She stayed with the family and fellow passenger until he left the hospital at 3 am.”

“One of my best vacations. Our guide, Fernando, was fantastic. Caring, warm and beyond knowledgeable. He’s the best. I would, however, have liked another day in Buenos Aires. Wanted to just walk the city leisurely. Same with Rio de Janeiro. Needed some time to explore Copacabana and Ipinema. Did not like the hotel in Bariloche or the hotel at Iguassu Falls. We returned to the hotel at Iguassu Falls at about 2PM & our room was not made up yet. Not able to relax until I called the front desk & someone finally came up to clean the room. The water in the bathroom sink in the hotel in Bariloch went down very slowly. Not a nice sight. Also neither hotels had tissues in the rooms.”

“The trip to India & Nepal far exceeded my expectations! Bonita, our tour guide, loves India and its people, which made for a very rich experience. Her knowledge of India....and guides she chose to share their knowledge, made it one of the best trips I've ever taken.”

“I traveled to Abu Dhabi and Dubai with SmarTours and had an amazing time. Our guide was knowledgeable and well organized. He provided us with many historical and interesting facts about both cities. The hotels were comfortable and served wonderful breakfast buffets, and the tours allowed you to see the highlights of both Emirates. I am looking forward to booking my next trip with SmarTours and my choice of venues are limitless.”

“Some of the main factors were good (hotel, food, guides, buses) but there is much room for improvement. Not enough information about traveling in China (see the OAT tours guide book). I booked my own flights, did land only. The poor souls who were on the Smartours flights had a return flight from hell form Shanghai back to Beijing, then SF while I flew direct Shanghai to SF. Did not get to know most names. A name lanyard used at many meetings would have been helpful at least for the first few days. Too many stops to sell you stuff. Skip the Jade factory and spend the time going up some of buildings in Shanghai and the Shanghai Club or gong on a subway in either city. The rickshaw is not a rickshaw. It is a pedal/rickshaw. Be honest and identify it correctly in the activity description. This is a difficult trip with a lot of walking. Handicap people should be discouraged or you should do one trip a year that caters to handicap people.”

“This was our first group tour and I was a little concerned on being confined to a bus and being rushed from one site to the next. I need not have worried as the tour was a wonderful experience. The tour was well paced with ample time to visit sites, souvenir shop and free time. Kiet Truong, our guide in Vietnam, was informative, giving balanced insight to the complicated history of this fascinating country. He took care of every detail and treated our group like family. Our Cambodian guide was equally excellent. The Ankor temples were certainly the highlight of this trip.”

“I enjoyed my trip to Dubai & Abu Dhabi October 15th-23rd. It was very educational, well planned with an abundance of activities that were of interest to me.Our tour guide Mohammad was excellent in all aspects, and I believe this only enhanced an already great trip.I wish that this tour however could have been longer due to the fact of the long distance and time it took to fly to and from.I would like to travel there again, but would pick a cooler travel month. I recommend this trip to anyone that loves exotic travel. My first time traveling with Smartours, but not my last.Thank you for a enlightened experience.JoyceM.”

“Well organized tour that covered lots of Italy. Good value. I appreciate that professional tour guide (Massimo) arranged for reserved tickets to the Uffizi Gallery in Venice at my request. A number of other members of the tour group liked the idea and joined us. Most local guides, with the exception of Venice guide were also good. The hotel in Florence had a huge glass window on our bathroom door which was terrible for privacy. The group dinners in Rome (at the Pizzaria) and Florence were not up to the quality of the rest of the trip. Hotel breakfasts and dinner were all very good. We were fortunate that our large group of was congenial and consisted of experienced travelers.”
