“This trip I took to Dubai and Abu Dhabi arranged by Smartours was awesome. Granite it got canceled in 2020 due to the Covid. We thought it wasn’t gonna happen but it did and it was amazing. Our tour guide Mohammed Saleem.You have to request him. I’ve traveled many places but he’s the best tour guide ever. So knowledgeable ,so friendly ,so prompt and care about his clients. This trip with smart tours was well planned ,Covid safe everything lined up as it should have.The price was right, airfare to and from ,it included plenty of excursions, ground transportation ,beautiful hotels and good food . Beautiful Emirates, nice trip .”

“As a company doing business in the time of Covid-19 Smartours did very well. I traveled "Land Only" so not a typical trip. The tour to the UAE was modified two weeks prior to departure and required that I make hotel and ground transportation changes. My trip was Oct-Nov 2021 and I am still awaiting a refund for tours that were cancelled by Smartours. My family and I learned that we do not enjoy traveling with a group. They were late every day and did not comply with mask wearing on the bus.”

“The only complaint that I have is that I repeatedly tried to get the flight times and numbers from Miami to San Jose and was given nonexistent flights. Our guide was excellent, the food was great and the accommodations were par for the region. All email communications were accurate and described perfectly the procedures needed to travel in the time of COVID.”

“The Enchanting Peru trip was overall one of my best trips yet. I enjoyed the tour Director-Dagmar! She was informative, kind, knowledgeable and funny. Going forward it would be nice to have a more itemized itinerary of arrival/departure times. There were a lot of early mornings and long long long days. This trip requires a vacation from the vacation.”

“Dagmar was an excellent Tour Director. She was very knowledgeable, compassionate and attentive. I can't say enough about her and how she made our trip a complete success. Machu Picchu was amazing. Touring the country of Peru and learning about the culture was inspiring. I would recommend this trip for anyone who is adventurous and wanting to learn more about the Incas and Andean civilizations. Before going, consider the travel time along with the fact that touring starts immediately upon arrival. Everyone was exhausted the first day. I would have preferred to make my own flight arrangements allowing time to sleep and freshen up before starting the tour itinerary.”

“Had the worst experience with smarTours just returned from a South Africa tour found out a week before the flight had huge 8 hour layovers they didn’t ask first if we wanted to go ahead with that arrangement or get out money refunded and buy our own flight also the itinerary was changed due to a political uprising and two whole days were just spent driving and without any sightseeing being done in Durban they dropped us at the hotel at 4 then the area wasn’t safe and we couldn’t even venture out as well as Johannesburg the day was rushed and we were done by 3:30. I also unfortunately had two very nasty couples on the trip that took away from the experience for me and they acted completely entitled and expected everyone to bow down to them one lady kept making up different illnesses for her husband so only he would get the best seat on the safaris first it was motion sickness then it was a ankle problem then back I got called some nasty names for taking the seat because I don’t feel they should be entitled to it every time and out tour guide Jeremy didn’t make the situation any better you would think he would remain neutral and help the situation but he did nothing of that sort. Everyone in the group was also in their seventies so if you’re younger like me that was another mistake made. I highly advise against traveling with them you would do better booking any tours on your own wherever you chose to go”

“The price is good for all the goods and services provided though I think they can do better, such as improving the quality of the dinner. The welcome dinner and farewell dinner were both lousy. The tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Unfortunately, I did not receive a digital copy of the group photo he has taken and upon making an inquiry with SmarTours, I was told that I would have to call a certain number in Istanbul myself. SmarTours could not help me procure that photo. This is disappointing.”

“We were very disappointed when our trip to Spain was canceled last year. SmarTours came thru and we did the trip this year. WE could not be happier with our “Best Tour of Spain” . It exceeded all of our expectations. We will be back”

“Fantastic trip! We went after cruise season, so we got to stay in hotels on Mykonos, Santorini, and Crete. Those islands are spectacular, glad we got the extra time there. Our guides Gina and Nikki were amazing. The knowledge, the fun, and they truly took care of us. I cannot speak highly enough about this tour. This was our first trip with Smartours, but not our last!”

“The tour was excellent, with a wonderful driver, Erdogan, and a spectacular tour guide, Ali. We enjoyed all the sites, with great historical background stories. Some of the cities were quite distant from one another, and the drive was tedious, but the hotels and food were high quality for the most part. We would repeat with SmarTours in the future.”

“I have just returned from a most wonderful journey with Smartours to France. It was possibly one of the most outstanding tours I have ever been on. I felt so coddled by our tour director, Patrick Fargier. His skills and flexibility to manage not only transportation, food venues and local guides was amazing. This was my 12th tour with Smartours, and it keeps getting better and better. I am looking forward to my next Smartour.”

“I have just returned (10/17/21) from this tour. Our guide and Egyptologist Dena, was the best and an expert which made the trip extra special !!! Everything flowed seamlessly, and if there were any hiccups along the way, they went unnoticed. We did appear to have a few changes from the original itinerary, but it was due to an Egypt Airlines change, not Smartours. The hotels, cruise, transportation and all meals were top notch. Our group size, was perfect at 14, and made it easier to get in and out of places than traveling with a larger group. I never felt unsafe. We traveled with armed security everywhere in Cairo and police also appear to be everywhere. Everyone is super friendly! Some vendors can be pushy, but a simple "no thank you" or "la shokran" will usually do the trick in most cases. I wished we had more time to spend at Khan Al-Khalili Market - an hour is not enough and you barely scratch the surface. I am sure there are many who may say it's too much time, but there are plenty of cafe's to sit and people watch if you are not a shopper. . Of course when you travel with a group of 14, everyone has their own idiosyncrasies, likes and dislikes and there were different comments from different people, but this girl LOVED the trip and nothing happened to the point of complaining about it. Besides, my days were filled with amazement and awe, Verklempt at the immensity of the history we were surrounded with everyday to complain about anything but the heat (and there isn't anything anyone can do about that)! I am still in AWE! I will travel with Smartours again, as was the opinion of everyone else on the tour who wasn't already on their 8th or 10th trip!! I met some AMAZING friends who I will travel with again. Thank you Smartours for giving me everything I hoped and dreamed of!!”

“SmartTours was my first solo international experience. The Splendors of Egypt tour was incredible. The local arrangements were made with efficient and attention to detail. Deena, the Egyptologist was incredibly knowledgable and able to focus our attention on the most important aspects of what we were to see/experience. I could not have been happier with my experience. I made some new friends and look forward to another SmarTours to another exciting location.”
