Booked an appointment via the online system. Specific stores only have audiologist appointments on certain days so just went for the store with the date/time most convenient to me. I was willing to travel. Less than 24hrs before my appointment I get an email full of questions and a little sentence at the bottom just generally dropping in that I had a new appointment date and time as they didn't do initial hearing tests on the date I'd booked. To be clear their system suggested this date and time to me. Anyway, won't be attending this new appointment and will use a much more professional service in the future. Save your time and go elsewhere!

Worst customer service, ignore my calls and give excuses wait for text. I paid £39 upfront for new lenses to be put into my frames on 9th August. Assistant wrote 24th August collection date on my receipt. I have been waiting 5 weeks, i have been ringing every week asking where are my glasses. My frames were not sent off the lab and it has been sitting in the tray for 5 weeks. I want a full refund and compensation for wasting my time.

I purchased three sets of glasses - one for reading, one for driving, and one pair of sunglasses. However, I have been facing issues with all three sets of glasses. The driving glasses have been particularly problematic as the arms have fallen off three times. The sunglasses are not of good quality as one lens is blurred and I have been told to adjust to it. As for the reading glasses, their lenses have fallen out on several occasions. and add insult to injury the so-called anti-scratch coating is peeling off all of them, not the sunglasses as I can't use them! It is worth noting that these glasses were not cheap. In the end, they replaced the frames on my driving glasses, but now the nose bridge keeps coming loose. It seems there is little regard for quality. Not impressed at all with the quality they have supplied.

They ruined my frame because staff not trained enough. They didn’t know the frame I chose for my bifocal is not good.when ever I used that glasses I started severe headache, they accept their fault but to fix that problem they been asking to pay again. I tried to explain but manager of that store said that she will ask staff about that issue. Apologie. But still they asked me to pay. I really don’t understand why. I’m very disappointed for their service and waste of my money.

Even one star is too much for Spec Savers at Medicross, Carlswald, Midrand. Complete incompetence.

I have used specsavers many times for my glasses. Usually my experience is excellent but this time I was very disappointed. First was the day I went with my husband to get our eyes tested and to get new glasses. The best way to describe the experience was very rushed. They asked us could we both go in together which we agreed to but both of us felt the same afterwards, we were treated as one rather than two and both of us felt we got half the normal service. Then the collection of our glasses is where it unravelled for me. We arrived two weeks after our glasses were due for collection as we didn’t get a call or message to say they were ready. My husband’s glasses were there but one of my pairs was missing. The reason for the absence of these glasses didn’t make sense, something about a crack appearing in the lens that morning as they were making them in the laboratory, remember this is two weeks after they were supposed to be ready! The lovely girl assured me she would get someone to ring me when they were ready for my next collection. No call came. Considering I was spending over 700 euros, I feel it was a very poor service and doesn’t give one confidence in the product. I don’t live in Dublin so each time is a trip. Honestly, I’m not certain if I will ever use Specsavers again.

I arrived at Specsavers Fuengirola a few minutes before my appointment was greeted by my name and ushered to a darkened room where Louise did the preliminary tests. She then introduced me to Amina, the optometrist, who went on to do a thorough eye test. Amina gave me easily understandable explanations and recommended that I get the new prescription but understood my reason for not doing so at that moment. John then went through the cost of the spectacles and gave me a written breakdown of the cost of the new glasses and told me to return whenever I was ready. At no time did I feel pressurized in any way to fill the prescription. I felt very comfortable and at ease throughout. I have been going to the Fuengirola branch of Specsavers since it first opened and shall continue to do so. Thank you all.

Optometrists were very good. Sales, not so. Suggested I obtain a frame elsewhere, which I did, then they said they couldn't fit lenses to it. I did that elsewhere too (varifocals). Visited again to see if they could provide simple single vision frames and lenses as I was attracted by the £69 two for one offer. Turns out it's extra for scratch resistant lenses, and extra for tinting, etc. The cost swiftly exceeded £150. No thanks.

Spec-Savers Moreleta Park. The service I received from spec-savers was just wonderful. From the ladies at the reception where I booked the appointment to the last interaction when I received the glasses. The ladies went above and beyond to interact, explain the eye procedure, and assist us in getting the right glasses. Keep it up ladies, you are a great team.

Went for an eye and contact lens check on Sunday at Specsavers and I was very impressed with the service I received from Daniel . He suggested I needed some eye drops which zi purchased . The next day I tried to use them and couldn’t get them working so I returned to the shop today and explained I couldn’t work the bottle and could I have a different type of bottle that I could use . I was told that they wouldn’t do that as I had opened the bottle but of course Zi did only to find it wouldn’t work . He squinted it on his had which Zi could do , however when it was over my eye it would not work . He asked a colleague who I assumed was in charge and he didn’t even lift his eyes up . He just said no . I was upset by his attitude and left the shop and went to the pharmacy in Tesco who very kindly showed me how it worked . Just a little kindness and customer care was all that was needed . I won’t be going back to specsavers where I have contact lenses and 2 pairs of glasses . I hope someone learns something from this review .

Had been with this company for many years, and then get completely let down with poor service in regard to broken glasses, frame failed after 10 months through a poor weld on the metal. Go into store to get fixed and the told 1. Cannot repair 2. Discontinued not available 3. Have to choose anotther pair, with impression confirmed at no cost to me. Revisit Witham store to choose glasses only to be told I have to pay for the lenses and that only the frame is covered. How can you sell a product and then say you dont cover half of it?? Cancelled my account, not impressed by response or service offered. Disgruntled in Essex

My father is 97 and suffering from dementia and lives in a residential home. Specsavers visited to give people an eye test. They tried to convince him to spend £340 on 4 glasses. They doubled his order in case he lost one. Definitely a case of sale before customers care.

I went to the Stroud store for a new pair of spectacles having had an eye test there 5 months before. I chose two new frames from the 'buy one, get one half price' selection and almost immediately ran into questions from the assistant about where on my nose I rested my glasses! I stayed with my choice because what was on offer wasn't that great but found myself in a tedious and overlong examination of my gaze combined with endless questions about how long I spent on screens of all types (and books). I found myself being steered towards having two types of lens on the basis that you now apparently need a pair of glasses for screen use and a pair for reading (and I'm sure they'd love it if you agreed to another pair for phone as opposed to computer use). Having finally escaped, I decided overnight to phone and say I just wanted two pairs of specs to the same specification which reduced the price by £50, because, of course, two different lenses are two different prices! A week down the line, expecting my new glasses any day, I got a call that the overzealous young man who sold me the glasses wanted to do some procedure beginning with ablation.....I never found out the whole story but assumed this was another gambit aimed at selling me more sets of glasses at double the stated cost. I was infuriated and cancelled my order immediately. They did at least refund without asking why. Beware of dubious practices with these people. Never again.

From a flickering light whilst waiting, to the first test being undertaken in a space where people were coming and going (ie not private), to the broken chair and the ineffectual person who tried, through mumbled breath, to upsell every option, I left feeling underwhelmed and a bit annoyed. Optometrist was great I have to say but the chap before measured my current glasses incorrectly so it all felt a little disconnected and unprofessional. Would expect a better service given the prices. They are not cheap.

I ordered bifocals having ecplained to the optometrist then I have been using fixed long distance glasses for driving and tv/cinema, but can't read the car fuel guage, and also work with an audio mixer with a screen at about 75 cm distance, and need both this and the stage in focus. The optomotrist recommended bifocals and I have been trying them for a few weeks but for driving ahead vision not good almost the same as not wearing glasses, sizeways looking at junctions, out of focus, as is looking in wing mirrors. So useless, and even potentially dangetous gor driving, their principal use.

Photochromatic glasses developed wave-like artefacts on the surface second time in a few months. They can't fix it.
