2 pairs of specs. Both very poor; several visits with 2 eye tests. I was given £40 which I understand was for time, trouble, parking etc but when I asked for a refund on 2nd pair they took back the £40. I will not use you again. I now have no specs and have incurred inconvenience, parking and fuel. I will make sure that my friends know what happened. This has left a bad taste in my mouth for your company.

We have been long-term customers with specsavers. When this branch opened in Coventry Ricoh Arena, we decided to give it a try and were extremely disappointed. Both my elderly parents were treated as if they did not belong in store, spoken to in a condescending way and came away feeling very distressed and upset. The individuals attitude was one of a school ground bully with a visible look of disdain. The sad thing is the individual who dealt with them is the store manger/retail director(???) Kieran Chavda. If the person who is responsible for the store shows disdain to retired and very elderly customers paying for the service, then I do not have hope for the longevity of the store. He needs to appreciate retail consumer law and master customer service skills, or just stay out of the way in an office as damage control. We will stick with our current specsavers in Nuneaton going forward as they have been nothing less than perfect every single time. Your hard earned money is better spent at another location or provider.

Been using spec savers in Clapham junction for many years. The service feels like a con. Paying for things you don’t need. Or paying for things and then being wrong. All they say is sorry. Give you another voucher. Glasses sent to a new company for glare but came back wrong colour. When we came back a year later they said the glass wasn’t right. Why would they give them to me in the first place and just let us go knowing that fact. I can’t go in there anymore feeling looked after just conned. I am going elsewhere from now on. Sad to say you can’t get what you need as it’s all about money whatever the industry!!!

No toilets. My 10 yr old daughter came straight from school. And asked could she go to toilet .we were told no because.the manager said no.for a much visited establishment by the public is a disgrace particularly for people with illnesses and children. We were not told we could be served downstairs and my wife who is disabled had to try and get up stairs she managed it.with great difficulty and couldnt get her breath. Not good at all

So far been back 8 times and glasses still aren't correct. They wont believe that one eye is blurred. First set of glasses were completely wrong, had a retest and new lenses, almost correct but still not right, then been upsold near/ distance varifocals, they were made incorrectly, couldn't see a computer monitor through then without looking at the floor, now been remade again and still not right. Then been told maybe these aren't suitable for me and my working environment (when I explained EXACTLY what I do, my work setup and what I have to look at!) and maybe I should spend even more on the super-duper pair. Like hell I wil! Spent hours there and traveling there and back, taking time out of my extremely busy work schedule. They take far too long explaining the ins and outs, I don't care. just give me glasses that work. Had the same rigmarole 2 years ago when it took 7 visits and still didn't get the mid range ones right then, the verticals were always completely out. Only reason I go there is because of the free work eye test and VDU voucher, which becomes worthless once they've upsdold you several times and made you pay extra out of your own pocket for all the 'upgrades'. Yes, this is full of typos. Becuase I can't see a bleeding thing I'm doing becuase ISTILL don't have any VDU glasses after 3 months! Not recommended. Staff are nice enough, lovely in fact but...

Absolutely atrocious customer service, went to two different branches in co. Armagh one offered no help and rushed me through my eye tests. The second seemed better initially but ordered the completely wrong frames. By the time I get my frames it will be a month from my appointment and my current glasses are pretty much unusable, and I really really struggle to see without them. Gave them 3 chances and I’m done never going back.

went to edgware branch yesterday. was very, very rushed, so much so, that when i had the eye test i wasn't even sitting on the chair properly. the optician, female, dropped a couple of lenses into the contraption that is on your nose, only did one or two, then gave me a prescription for two pairs of glasses, and told me that i would need to wear glasses for distance all the time. really? i can see perfectly fine for distance. no problem. for reading, yes, i need glasses. also wanted me to buy drops coz apparently i have dry eyes. i don't have dry eyes. in addition, because i get my eye tests free on the nhs, now i have used the voucher unsuccessfully here, i would actually like a refund. also, i had to pay for the retina test separately. horrendous. not going back to specsavers again!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. The service, the glasses I purchased, all substandard and I highly recommend using any other optician's other that Specsavers Hounslow. My glasses broke twice in the space of 6 weeks and I was made to feel as it was my fault! Due to time constraint of the store closing at 6.30, as does my job, making it impossible to get my glasses repaired during the week. Therefore both times of the arm falling off I have had to go an entire week before I am able to get them repaired. For many years I purchases Boots over the counter reading glasses, usual costing about £10-20 and never had an issue, I spent £200 on specsaver glasses and have spent most of the time not being able to use them! I spoke with a manger who was extremely unhelpful and showed no empathy in the fact that this having no glasses has impacted on my every day life and made my job virtually impossible without glasses!

Home visit and paid cash on the day. One month later, still no glasses. The staff are very offhand when you call. One girl in particular, is a thoroughly nasty little piece of work. I've used glasses direct in the past with no problems. I will now go back to GD as this specsaver mob are a complete joke

I had an eye test and requested varifocal contact lenses. My original private optometrist had said that I wasn’t suitable for contact lenses, so I thought I’d try specsavers to see what they thought. I told them initially that my optician said no to contacts, they weren't worried. They tutored me to put them in and take them out, then sent me on my merry way. I went to meet a friend for coffee… it started to go dark. The drive home was the scariest drive I’ve ever experienced! Not only my vision but my perspective was hugely impaired. I couldn’t tell how far away cars were in front of me. I slowed to 30 on a 70 to enable me to get home . I also compared my prescription. They were totally different . Specsavers was 150 125 distance 175 175 near. Local private optician 125 distance 225 near. The glasses the private optician provided me with are perfect sight wise. How can contacts be prescribed for people without testing the sight?? I cannot fathom this.,I’m so relieved I managed to get home in my car..

My wife attended an eye test at Costessey Specksavers and chose 2 pairs of glasses from the £69 range, she mentioned that a requirement wad for a pair for reading and a general pair. She was supplied with 2 identical general pairs. Upon taking them back she was informed for the first time the £69 range was only provided with identical lens. They extracted a further £39 from her for a reading modification to one of the pair. I smell ripoff, glad I was waiting in the car, someone might have been given a piece of verbal. N BE AWARE THE 2 FOR £6 9 RANGE IS 2 THE SAME ONLY.

Never will I visit the Aberystwyth store again agressivse staff, I was messaged to arrive 10 minutes early to my appointment was kept waiting for 25 minutes and when some girl came to get me she was pushing eye xray I said no was moved on to someone else to test my eyes, questioned about medication for blood pressure insisting I see a doctor even though I told him my blood pressure was under control, the he wanted to know my blood pressure readings after this insisting on seeing my glasses then when he got to the eye test very rushed and insisted i chose a number for the lens, when I told him the looked the same he got agressive and told me to choose one. We got to the end of the eye test he then told me he was printing my prescription and I was to go and sit down and wait for the prescription I asked how long it would take as I had another appointment at 11.00 am ( it was now 10.35) I was told at least half an hour when I asked why he could not give the prescription to me as now it had been printed I was told the optitian had to sign it. I was told come back after that appointment, as my 11.00 appointment was out of town I would not be going back there after. Very rude and is it acceptable to have to wait around for incompetence staff. If the experience had been good I was going to buy veryfocal glasses and try contact lenses.

Booked an appointment via the online system. Specific stores only have audiologist appointments on certain days so just went for the store with the date/time most convenient to me. I was willing to travel. Less than 24hrs before my appointment I get an email full of questions and a little sentence at the bottom just generally dropping in that I had a new appointment date and time as they didn't do initial hearing tests on the date I'd booked. To be clear their system suggested this date and time to me. Anyway, won't be attending this new appointment and will use a much more professional service in the future. Save your time and go elsewhere!

Worst customer service, ignore my calls and give excuses wait for text. I paid £39 upfront for new lenses to be put into my frames on 9th August. Assistant wrote 24th August collection date on my receipt. I have been waiting 5 weeks, i have been ringing every week asking where are my glasses. My frames were not sent off the lab and it has been sitting in the tray for 5 weeks. I want a full refund and compensation for wasting my time.

I purchased three sets of glasses - one for reading, one for driving, and one pair of sunglasses. However, I have been facing issues with all three sets of glasses. The driving glasses have been particularly problematic as the arms have fallen off three times. The sunglasses are not of good quality as one lens is blurred and I have been told to adjust to it. As for the reading glasses, their lenses have fallen out on several occasions. and add insult to injury the so-called anti-scratch coating is peeling off all of them, not the sunglasses as I can't use them! It is worth noting that these glasses were not cheap. In the end, they replaced the frames on my driving glasses, but now the nose bridge keeps coming loose. It seems there is little regard for quality. Not impressed at all with the quality they have supplied.

They ruined my frame because staff not trained enough. They didn’t know the frame I chose for my bifocal is not good.when ever I used that glasses I started severe headache, they accept their fault but to fix that problem they been asking to pay again. I tried to explain but manager of that store said that she will ask staff about that issue. Apologie. But still they asked me to pay. I really don’t understand why. I’m very disappointed for their service and waste of my money.

Even one star is too much for Spec Savers at Medicross, Carlswald, Midrand. Complete incompetence.
