In the last month I've had 2 hearing test appointments cancelled. Today it wasn't so I drove the half hour to get there to find out the appointment had been cancelled again but this time they didn't let me know so wasted time, wasted petrol & wasted money on parking! They didn't even offer another appointment, I had to ask. I got home & rang the doctors to ask if I could go somewhere else & told them why & the receptionist said she'd been there the week before for an eye test & her appointment was also cancelled. What's wrong with this place? They're useless!

My husband had his NHS hearing aids serviced. When he got them home the earbuds were wrong size. He couldn't get in immediately as he was in hospital so went on 2 weeks later. Has been told he needs to make appointment which is unnecessary. St Austell branch only has audiologist one day a week so he would have to go to Truro

I bought two pairs of reading glasses. I had to wait ages for the correct prescription for one pair as i was convinced to get occupational ones,. which meant going back several times until they got it right.. I thought fair enough.. I then broke my glasses.. arm fell off ..OK probably my fault, so more money. Then I lost them, ok im a nurse and on a busy shift... So I had one pair left which I hardly used.. I got them out and found out both of the lenses had come away.. Not to worry, I thought..go back to specsavers simple repair job.. Surely as they get the lenses into the frames right, when you first order them... However, I was told I needed a new frame.. Then they told me I'm due for yet another eye test.... Huh, no thanks I told them.. surely they should offer you some type of insurance or guarantee when you buy these glasses...?! I just feel like ive bn throwing money down the drain!! SO from now on, good old pound shop or amazon for me! And they last so much longer!!

Went too Specsavers Wolverhampton got my eye test done picked my glasses and was willing to pay over three hundred pounds for glasses only to be told I couldn't have the glasses I picked as they don't do my lens's for this frame (I only get single vision lenses) so after an hour wasted I left and will be going to a local optician who don't waste your time.

I wanted a new frame style (nothing wrong with my lenses) Had to take an eye test and they said my prescription had changed and said I really should have varifocals. I decided against it because they are expensive and I don’t need varifocals with my old spec savers glasses picked/waited/collected my new glasses and they seemed fine. I understand that with new shaped frames it can take a while to get used to the new glasses lenses because they’re different shaped and whatnot. Wore them for a while. Didn’t get better. I can see distance but can’t read in them. I took them back and was told “ we told you to get varifocals, you can either buy whole new varifocal lenses or buy a second pair for reading only” ( more money) so I said forget it. I’ll wear my old glasses (perfect all round vision and bin the new ones. What a waste of money.

I am tired of the numerous texts that I have received about my appointment for tomorrow, 21st May., at the Morningside branch in Edinburgh. One would be more than enough. It is extremely irritating not to mention unnecessary. Enough. K Malone.

Been a customer for 30 years and it’s so sad to see it go so unorganised. appointments here take weeks to get and for changing contact lense trial/wait a week for them to arrive, another 2 weeks for optician for them to then be not suitable?!? 3 months of messing now. Used to keep stock in to try in a day. What’s happened? Sad.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I have been going to Specsavers Oxford Queen Street for a few years but never again. I have been refused a sight test without a reason and in a rude manner as well. The optician was unpleasant from the minute that they opened my file and saw that last time I had a sight test with Specsavers I didn’t buy glasses there. Then they started asking me questions that made me feel like I have done something wrong and I am being interrogated. After that they just made me leave saying that they are refusing giving me a sight test. My husband had a sight test booked straight after mine and they refused that too. That whole experience left me feeling anxious and upset, I had a panic attack on the way home. I will also be raising a complaint with customer service but I doubt that is going to do anything at all.

Went for test, apparently needed a slight prescription according to the optician. Then I was just ushered through to buy a pair of glasses, There was no discussion, I don't need them to be legal for driving, I can see perfectly fine without them. They just wanted a sale.

Went for test and needed glasses, explained at the beginning that money was tight at the moment so wanted cheap as possible. Firstly had the £10 test when I had said no I didn't want it when I booked it but with all the tests I had I never realised until at the end. Wanted to pick lower priced glasses as affordable but was very pushy wanting me to get the dearer frames , not impressed with there pushiness

On 29/04/23 went to Stratford Specsavers Was greeted by Linda the Stratford branch manager who asked me what i need help with, last year brought glasses with add ons worth £230 in Stratford branch, they are happy to take the money from me when im paying but when it comes to honoring the 2 years quality guarantee, there's a different unfriendly tone and change in demeanour by Linda , as if im begging for something im not entitled to,even though its in the companies policy. The frame of my glasses is metal and plastic stuck together by some sort of adhesive , (Carbon 12 - name of frame) that has come apart after 6 months , this would go under defect due to material and should be replaced free of charge under the current guarantee i have, instead I was told it can't be repaired because i snapped it ,which isn't true the adhesive has came apart and you can clearly see this , she didn't even bother picking it out of the box and inspect it, as a simple close eye inspection should give the answer to if its snapped or not and instead told me nothing can be done and I should buy a new frame and half way when I was talking, she just walked off to stand in another side to stare at other frames even though the store wasn't busy as she was very reluctant to carry on with the conversation with me, after she had her say,and this is the manager of the stratford branch, disgraceful customer service skills from Linda and the respect she shows to good paying customers is disgusting as i remained respectful towards her and just wanted to ask more questions and if she will honour the quality guarantee, as she walked off it made me feel very unwelcomed and clearly she just wanted to get rid of me , after this experience I decided i will no longer be using specsavers and the way I've been treated, i make sure my family members and friends will not go to specsavers either , its ashame they’re paying a living wage to people like this who are loosing the company alot of money in the long run, in a competitive market

Won,t honour warranty, lense fell out when they were around my neck when I was walking my dog. They say it,s not a manufacturing fault as they could have got damaged being on the chord around my neck. The manager told me they should be either on my face or in the case. When I asked why they sold me the chord the manager said well the other shops do Honestly!

SOS visit to Carlisle branch after my friend had fallen and broken her specs. Lens intact but frame broken so asked if they could do some kind if emergency repair so we could drive home. Young male assistant turned over the broken frame and declared "Sorry not our frame I can't help you". My friends face was bleeding & I said "Any chance of a temporary repair so we can get home?" He then repeated his actions and words as if we were unable to understand. I was shocked and disapointed by his attitude as Specsaver at Workington are always wonderful. Left the store and visited Boots optician who did a temporary fix to get us home. Will remember this lack of service in the future.

Specsavers Bedminster Awful service. Stood waiting for someone to serve me for over 10 minutes, 3 people sat at their tables not busy, all ignored me, until I asked for help. When I asked about the cost, the assistant couldn't work it out, and it took 3 attempts to get this right. Waited a week to get my glasses. Picked them up, they had been fitted with the wrong lenses. I was asked to leave the glasses and they would be ready to pick up 3 days later. I phoned before heading down to pick them up, and no one could find the glasses or advise where they were. This is now 1.5 weeks and I still have no glasses. The staff need training on what good customer service looks like. Either your hiring process isn't robust enough or your training or perhaps a combination of the two- but customer experience was beyond dreadful

I recently had a terrible experience at the London-Dalston branch. The optician provided me with a wrong prescription and charged me for a test that was supposed to be free. When I went in for my appointment, I was informed that some of their equipment was broken and that they will need to do the test manually. Despite this, they went ahead and prescribed me new glasses, expensive varifocals was their advice. As a result, my prescription was incorrect after comparing it with the one done at another optician days later, where they told me I didn't need varifocals yet. To add insult to injury, I was charged for a test that was supposed to be free as I have diabetes. When I questioned the charge, the optician claimed that it was strange that it happened after I reported this before the test and offer me to do a new test, but also asking if I would be interested in any of their frames... Overall, I would not recommend this optician to anyone. Their inability to provide accurate prescriptions and their willingness to charge for services that should be free is unacceptable. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else for your eye care needs.

Bridge giving one star, but had to. Waited 4 weeks for specs, no sign so I called. Told me specs couldn't b ordered as they had to be paid for first. Why didn't they say at the time of ordering them. Waste of bloody time and space. Never see a haepenny of my money.

Shouldn't have gone to specsavers. Continuous problems with my specs. Numerous visits but problems not resolved. Spoke to manager who stated that they don't keep records of visits and the best she could do is inform me to pay £160 for titanium glasses. I have never met anyone so negative when it comes to addressing the public. I got these glasses in February 23 through my entitlement on the nhs. I payed extra to make them bifocal. My opinion is that Specsavers is like a supermarket conveyer belt. Next customer, next customer, etc. After being in high management I can say with experience that this manager thinks she's the owner of your franchise and customers are at the bottom of the list. This is my honest opinion of the Inverness branch that I visited.
