We explained that we were travelling to Tenerife and Canada. The agent gave us separate prices then offered annual cover to include our 2 trips plus cruise cover . We accepted and paid in full. Next day a phone call the agent had forgotten Canada (despite talking at great length the reason for the trip) Not a very professional way to do business!

I was left in a hospital abroad for 3 days waiting for an operation while the handling company and the hospital argued over non payment of outstanding bills. Phone Staysure in the uk and they don’t want to know because it’s been handed over to the handling company. Eventually the op is done but the nightmare doesn’t end there, I have to source a wheelchair myself find clinics to change dressings every other day which has to be paid on the spot. On returning home tried to claim expenses and the online claim form is so complicated and confusing you need a PHD to understand and being in my sixties had to give up. Staysure were no help said the form had to be completed on line and they refused to help me go through it, so I ended up nearly £1500 out of pocket.

Difficult and expensive to alter details via call centre . Quite unfriendly staff , very unsympathetic and borderline aggressive. Gave up on one operator and the next day got somebody even worse . Will definitely swap when I’m ready to renew . Call operators sound unhappy and stressed. Are they under pressure from new owners .

My husband has had a stroke on holiday no authorisations was received for treatment received ar the hospital. Not good if you do not have the cash available. Davies Group who handle their claims are terrible, don't answer calls or emails the say they are very busy! Claims at staysure also do not answer the phone. A lot of stress added under very difficult circumstances. Some considerate people on the emergency phone line but they can do nothing.

Tried to update medication hustory online as requested. System wouldn't allow me to so had to phone. This apparently would incur a charge of £10 without a screenshot to 'prove' that system not working. Took more than £10 worth of my and operator's time to manage a screen shot that in any case won't prove a thing. I'm deeply unimpressed. Call centre operator was very patient. It's the system that is rubbish.

Slow at everything. Don’t answer the phone, even after 45 mins on hold. 8 weeks to get back to you if you complain. It seems they do everything to avoid helping you, even when you are stranded overseas. I just think it’s really poor. Even taking into account the Covid-19 situation. Can’t think of anything good to say about this company.
