“Have asthma exacerbated by heat and humidity in Florida. Wore mask in store and took it off as leaving store. Clerk at register yelled out "Put your mask on." I said I'm leaving the store and l have asthma." Clerk's response: "You're not out the door yet." Incredibly rude.”

“Online order placed on 8/13. UPS label created the same day. One month later, and the package never even made it to UPS. It never shipped. There's no way to get in contact with customer support, and Steinmart's online package tracker says it can't be found. This store is taking people's money without delivering their products. Absolute thieves. No wonder they are going out of business. Very disappointed. Poor management and sad excuse for a business.”

I placed my first order with Steinmart.com on June 21th. One of the items I purchased was a battery powered wine opener. This was for a gift as I already have the same one I ordered. When I put batteries in the new one, it wouldn’t work. I took the removable battery cartridge and placed it in my own wine opener and it worked just fine. I then placed my old battery cartridge in the new one and it also wouldn’t work with old one. So obviously the new one was defective. I called Steinmart and told them I shouldn’t have to pay to return a defective product and they agreed. They said they were sending me a UPS return label but that it was coming from UPS so it could take five business days. I waited and then called again with the same request. I waited 5 days again with no result. I called again – they told me my address must not be right (that’s absurd but I had them send to my husband’s email) again no label after 5 business days. Finally on July 17th I called requested a refund. I was put on hold for 2 minutes and told I would have my refund in a few days. It’s now been one week and no refund. I can only assume they’re failing and no longer care about their customers. I am going to dispute the amount on my credit card.”

“Stein mart Nevada ave Colorado. I was so excited to do a little shopping & found summer dress rack said “ reduced to $20. Thought long & hard cuz we can’t try on. Cashier rang it up as $30 something. I told her it wAs in the $20 rack but she didn’t even say that she would look. There were a lot of confusing signs but not this 1. I am so upset cuz I’ve alway had a great experience in Sunnyvale/Santa Clara CA Stein Mart but I’ll never shop at this 1 again”
