In-store quality was AMAZING! On-line quality is cheap and INCREDIBLY OVERPRICED!! This website is NOT Steinmart that we all knew and loved and enjoyed. Stay away, don't get ripped-off. R.I.P. the real Steinmart.

Good morning Ladies: This seems to be a trend with Steinmart, which is now under new management. We need to stop making purchases from them and start a Class Action Suit. I had the same experience with them sending me a used blouse. I initiated a return, and it took only a day for them to say they received it but two weeks for them to respond again, asking if I would take 20% off and keep the blouse. The blouse doesn't fit. So I said I would donate it to Goodwill, and Steinmart could credit my account for the $26...crickets. I haven't heard from them, so I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Steinmart trying to survive at our expense.

The best thing you can do to stop these people is go to the Federal Trade Commission.

DO NOT buy anything from Stein Mart online! I have had such a nightmare trying to get store credit for a dress I returned. I don't even have to time to explain it all. Just trust me, DO NOT buy anything from Stein Mart!!!

I walked in the store for the very first time in my entire life. The manager literally told me to leave, very rudely. I know it sounds weird — I’m confused, too... I do have a service dog, maybe he thought it was legal to kick out a service dog? Anyway, one star for rudeness, but judging by these other reviewers here, this was a blessing in disguise. I won’t be returning, though I will call the company and tell them in case they want to try to save themselves from drowning...

If I could give it -0 stars I would. I loved to shop in the store located in Port St. Lucie fl. The clothes were beautiful and the pricing structure was great. This website is a total disgrace. Not sure where the clothing comes from but it is the ugliest I have ever seen. And the pricing is rediculos . Either go back to the original store or forget the website.

Horrible experience. Only received part of my order. Can't get the rest. Phones disconnected. No response to support email. When I receive my credit card invoice I will have to dispute any charge. I even subscribed to their $9.99 a month to receive orders without paying for shipping. There won't be any further orders. I've trid to go online to cancel the monthly charge but they won't let me login. It tells me they don't recognize my email even though I get 3 or 4 emails from them every day!! So frustrating! Horrible, horrible experience!!

A rip-off! The online store charged me but NEVER delivered the second item in my order, did not provide tracking information and refused to respond to my customer service messages about delivery or a refund. They do not provide a business number for customer service. NO PRODUCT- NO EMAIL RESPONSE-NO TELEPHONE NUMBER - NO REFUND WORST ONLINE RETAIL EXPERIENCE!!!! DO NOT PATRONIZE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Do not order this is a 0 review but 0 was not an option. This is not Stein Mart! I ordered two outfits for my daughters wedding on Feb. I tried to return them. No one would answer the phone or my emails. Except for Replying they could not Provide an address of where to return the outfits. They stated I had to wait on a return label but I couldn’t get one because the system had a glitch! I had to File a dispute with my bank. Which was difficult because I still had the outfits. I called this company which isn’t Stein Mart several times a day. I made calls with my bank representative. I was told I would get a refund to my debit card. Then I finally received a store credit. My bank and I called several times a day again to be told “it has been refunded to your Stein Mart account”. I don’t have a Stein Mart account after all this is was refunded in gift card, per Stein Mart, “To my account”. Please keep your money and do not order from this company! Thai customer service needs a below 0 review.

Loved their stuff until they went online & their prices are ridiculous now!!! Use to be a place for good deals but not any longer. Why? They have to be saving $ by not paying for a brick and morter rental space anymore.

The Steinmart name was sold to a group that buys up the "name" for online stores which take the money and never ship items or items are junk!!! Beware --check out the group that bought the Steinmart name--they purchase closed stores brand names to fool the customers. I really miss SteinMart--my entire closet is from there--I guess I will not appear as fashionable--lol--really will miss SteinMart!!! Do not purchase from the online store--overpriced crap--nothing like the stores!!! BEWARE!

I have always shopped at and loved this store but that all changed with Covid!!! Apparently not only can you NOT try on clothes but you also Cannot return them if they don't fit!!! WOW...hope you can eyeball something and know with 100% certainty that it will fit or you're hosed! NO THANKS... why didn't you just stay closed Steinmart rather than screwing the customer over? Thank goodness for Amazon.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. ONCE YOU BUY IT YOU OWN IT. I placed my first order with Steinmart.com on June 21th. One of the items I purchased was a battery powered wine opener. This was for a gift as I already have the same one I ordered. When I put batteries in the new one, it wouldn’t work. I took the removable battery cartridge and placed it in my own wine opener and it worked just fine. I then placed my old battery cartridge in the new one and it also wouldn’t work with old one. So obviously the new one was defective. I called Steinmart and told them I shouldn’t have to pay to return a defective product and they agreed. They said they were sending me a UPS return label but that it was coming from UPS so it could take five business days. I waited and then called again with the same request. I waited 5 days again with no result. I called again – they told me my address must not be right (that’s absurd but I had them send to my husband’s email) again no label after 5 business days. Finally on July 17th I called requested a refund. I was put on hold for 2 minutes and told I would have my refund in a few days. It’s now been one week and no refund. I can only assume they’re failing and no longer care about their customers. I am going to dispute the amount on my credit card.

I just walked out of stein mart where I always shop. I drove 25 min after I called and they said they were open to shop! I wasn’t sure due to Covid. Even though rioting is acceptable, lol I picked out my clothes, Went up front asked which dressing room was open? I was told you can’t try clothes on. Well, most women need to so I handed them back and said I can’t purchase something I can’t try. She should have said “ I’m so sorry for the inconvenience “. Instead she looked at me like I’m being unreasonable Lol She was rude. I will not shop Vero beach again, not because I can’t try clothes on even though u should tell that to people on the phone, and everyone is touching the clothes anyway, but because she was rude, poor customer service.

I should have read this reviews before I placed my order on line. I ordered 2 items, 1 was ok the second was not what I ordered, I called to see if I could purchase the item I originally ordered, they placed the order, they charge me again, I was on the phone 25 minutes and when they sent me the confirmation to the new order, it was again the same item I have and I want to return, I immediately reply to the email, to please either send me what I ordered or cancel the order, I sent 3 or 4 emails, they were completely ignored and today I got the email that the wrong item was shipped again! I learned my lesson, will never, ever, ever order steinmart online again. I shop online a lot, I never had an experience like this, shame on you Stein mart.

Ive shopped at Stein Mart for years. I have no issue with product or instore. Just as with individuals, stressfull circumstances expose who you are as an organization. I made an online purchase and would normally have the abilty to exchange or return in store. Currently you have return items at your own expense plus pay a $7.50 return fee, then repurchase with an additional shipping fee if the purchase doesn't meet a minimum. I think this is outrageous. I spoke to several people in customer service including customer service manager Thomas 71035. They advised me that this was company policy and I could take it or leave it. If this is how you treat your loyal customers who has shopped with you more than 25 years. Thanks, you may need to follow the example of Nordstrom Rack. They are a lot more flexible under extraordinary conditions.

Greed during Pandemic... I contacted Customer Service In writing to request 2 changes to the Refund Policy now that we are in the height of this Pandemic. I asked that (1) SteinMart EXTEND the period that they will allow returns once the stores become fully operational (not a mere 30 days) and (2) SteinMart should completely revoke ANY charge when an item is returned in the mail (currently $7.50). SteinMart completely ignored my requests... they did not provide any response. So, I submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. SteinMart did not address either issue. They basically told BBB that each Return would be handled on a “Case-by-Case” basis. Here is the response I just sent to the BBB/SteinMart... “ This is totally unacceptable. You did NOT address my requests... you totally ignored the request about revoking the $7.50 charge each time an item is returned by mail. It could be months ... months ... before your stores are open. Your customers want the option to drop these items in the mail NOW.. we need the refunds NOW when so many of us are out of work ... and we don’t need to be charged $7.50 or any other amount. Stein Mart does not want to make these refunds so they are making it as difficult as possible. Your lack of response to 2 very legitimate requests makes it clear that you don’t care about your customers, and I intend to make this known to as many people as possible. The true nature of a company becomes very evident in times of crisis.”

I have to say that I'm very disappointed with Stein Mart on submitting my name to the (TRE=The Retail Equation: works with retailers to warn consumers when their return transactions violate store policies or mimic excessive return behaviors. Sometimes the transaction is stopped). On your receipt you says I have 60 days to return if I'm not satisfied with your merchandise. Nothing about multiples returns. You assumed that I was returning merchandise in trying to defraud you. You need to look at the whole picture. First it was very embarrassing to be confronted at the store with other customers hearing that I could not return my merchandise and the Store Supervisor looking at me like I'm a crook. #1: If your dressing rooms were clean and had doors that lock then I would not have to bring my clothes home to try on. #2: I don't like men to be able to sit in the dressing room area while trying on items. Yes, I did order merchandise on line because you did not have my size in store. I returned that also, because I did not like how it looked once I received it. Also, since I have 60 days to return merchandise if I find something at a lower price I will return it and rebuy it. I have an account with you and very seldom does Stein Mart have couples to use with sale items. What good is it having an account if you don't offer coupons to use when shopping like Kohl's. I have request a copy of my report. I will no longer be shopping at Stein Mart.

In October I was using my Steinmart card to pay for my purchases. The clerk said "your card needs to be updated, may I have your drivers license" It had been a while since I had used it so really did not think much of this and complied. She handed me back my card and said this is" no good, don't use it any more". Long story short, there was nothing wrong with the first card-she opened a second account without my knowlege or consent. I have been fighting with them since I came to and realized what happened. The "bank" has closed the account and contacted the credit companines, sent a letter stating this has been done as I asked. The store itself, not so helpful. Actually getting to speak with someone from Steinmart itself was a challenge. One person has tried to help but even she is frustrated with the response from the offending store. I did finally get a call from the store manager. She said that it must have been a training error, what!!! This was deliberate, not poor training. She offered a gift card, I said I was not doing this for money, I wanted an explanation and apology . She asked for my address and again I said if she chose to send it fine but I wanted the explanation and apology. Two weeks later the "card" arrived, in a hand written envelope, no note of apology, just a $30.00 gift card. At this point I will be returning the card to this store manager as my time, energy and credit issues make this a complete insult.

Stein mart sent the wrong item. They were rude to me when I complained. They said they would have UPS pick it up. UPS did. They refuse to refund me and are claiming that none of this happened. Fraudulent company.
