“I booked a holiday for myself and the Mrs for our wedding anniversary. Sadly we weren’t able to go due to a family emergency, I was told that I would be able to get the taxes back and lose everything else. All I was asking for some compassionate time to put the holiday on hold. After many phone calls with different people, I eventually got the cost of the hotel back and nearly half the flights. I would have expected a bit more compassion and under the circumstances to have been allowed to put the holiday on hold, it was either cancel and lose everything or go”

“Book a holiday and a really nice Hotel then they tell me its £300 more expensive I’d say to go with on the beach ... they might be a tiny bit about £30 more expensive but in the end sunshine try to rip you off by trying You charge you £300 more”

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Just to provide further information on why this happened when making your booking. Once you have placed your order with Sunshine, you will receive an ‘Order Request’ email containing the details of your order summary. At this stage, your order has not yet been confirmed. Our system will then attempt to automatically book your order with the individual suppliers stated on your order summary. If all of the elements of your holiday are available at the price quoted on our website, your holiday will be booked and you will receive your ‘Booking Confirmation’ email. If, for any reason at all, our system cannot fulfil your request, your order will be set to pending and a member of our customer service team will call you to discuss your options. This may be caused by a fluctuation in flight prices or hotel availability changing at short notice. At this point, no money will be taken and you can choose to either cancel the booking free of charge, pay any additional costs, or find a suitable alternative for your needs with one of our advisors. Unfortunately, this does occasionally happen with a very small proportion of bookings on our site, and I'm sorry that the team couldn't find you an alternative suitable option. “Very good on price but a bit disappointed that the free cancellation doesn't include the transfers and I never had a reply to my telephoned query about a hotel that we have booked to go to.”
