“I had purchased several products from Temu without any issues until a few weeks ago when a shipment arrived missing over half of my order. The shipping box was clearly marked with the quantity and weight. I informed Temu that my order was missing items and sent pictures for verification. However, they refused to issue a refund or send the remaining items that I had paid for.
Everything was fine until it wasn't. Temu is a rip-off, plain and simple!
P.S.
The order was for a 230 lb weight set that was supposed to consist of eight pieces:
- (2) 45 lb plates
- (2) 35 lb plates
- (2) 25 lb plates
- (2) 10 lb plates
What I actually received was a box labeled with a quantity of 6 pieces and a net weight of 45 kg (100 lbs):
- (2) 25 lb plates
- (2) 15 lb plates
- (2) 10 lb plates”
“I don't like the auto buy feature because I don't get the chance to study what I'm purchasing.
Also, when you have specials, discounts, percentage off & free shipping on some items, the items I would like to purchase are not on the list.
Your recent pop up of religious, black & education Tees are an interest (& I'm trying to get them all) but kitchen, pants/slacks, furniture, etc., are also in my mind.
Can I include items sitting in the cart on some of the discounts you offer?”
“I've been a Temu client for many years and have many problems returning some items. If I make a mistake, they ask at least 10 questions. I only want to get into my account and ask if it's okay to return some items, but it is impossible to do so.”
“I ordered a large amount from Temu, however, when I ordered one item they would send me 2 to 5 more of the same item. Their refund policy is ridiculous. I had a very difficult time getting a refund and the majority of the items.”
“They are just so bait and switch. Almost everything is misleading. Do not trust and description at face value. There are definitely some good deals on there, but I am tired of the false advertising and clicking on an item to see that the price was for a totally different version of it. No trust for them. Just got screwed over on a bogus one day shipping claim for a local item.”
“Everything everyone has said below is very true. And I may not be a computer genius, but these games they play are definitely not user-friendly. Confusing. Definitely tricks you into spending money you don’t intend. And be careful for the shipping costs. Sometimes it’s not worth purchasing the item.
Cost - you get what you pay for. Definitely read the description very carefully.”
“My package was delivered to the wrong address. After providing multiple pieces of proof to Temu, they still won't refund my missing package. I had to talk to FedEx, the seller, and Temu "customer service"..and they still won't resolve my problem. Do not use this service unless you want them to steal from you too. The picture shows it being delivered to a house that is not mine.”
“Be very careful ordering from this company. Read descriptions and note sizes. They will ship items that are not what was represented in their ads. Forget about the discounted and free items- thought I was getting numerous free items- none ever arrived. Too many games and promises - never received. Also most clothes and shoes are very low quality. They will also pester you endlessly once you order from them- probably not worth doing business with them.”
“The app tricks you into spending money with a promis of cash back or free items upon purchase with a minimum $20 spend purchase. Then, after you make the purchase, they change the amount of purchase necessary to reach the payout amount. And they have you on a time limit to pick out your items so you have to rush through the items. They told me with what I already had in my account I only had to make a $20 purchase to get $100 cash payout then after I made the purchase they raised the amount I needed to purchase to get the payout. This app pressures you to make purchase with offers they never intend to honor.”
“I went to purchase some items and i spun a wheel and won some free items. Then I was told that i had to make a regular purchase to get the free items. Once I made that regular purchase, the free items disappeared. Temu has too many tricks and I prefer to buy from Shein who is much more reliable and ethical. I cancelled the order. I have made previous purchases in the past but not liking the shenanigans.”
“Either during or after you place an order, they send you a game. I won a gift so they gave me choice. I picked what I wanted and then they I had to spend more to get my free gift. What a deceitful lie. Otherwise ordering is easy. The quality is good. Just don’t waste your time on the games.”
“Most of goods are ok but their delivery service is disgraceful. Asked for home delivery but my goods were delivered to the wrong address despite talking to delivery service. The last 2 times my goods were delivered to shops that were so far I had to take a taxi. Will not order again unless I get assurance for true home delivery. My friends feel the same”
“Prices have been going up for a while now, and shipping times seem to be getting longer each time I order. No longer worth it to shop with Temu. Guess I am going back to Amazon & Walmart.”
“I never had any issues until now. Now neither TEMU or the famous carrier is taking responsibility for anything. They just want me to wait 7 more days (I already paid my credit card) to ask for a refund and who knows how many days I will have to wait to get the refund if I do receive it. I have three more orders on the way the total of the five around CAD 700+ dollars and NO ONE is assuring me anything. They give you 5 dollar credit back like that will substitute the items I WANTED and that is why I ordered them and now they are either sold out or MORE EXPENSIVE. I guess I should have NEVER leave Amazon for this company.”
“Massive warehouse with very little controls - sometimes you receive your full order, other times things missing - but the automated customer service system sends you round in continuous circles so no way to get refunded. Even the things you do receive invariably break within a few uses. Just rubbish, I won’t be using again.”
